Cool game, I thought it had a nice atmosphere and and the level design was very good.

Amazing game! This is such a cool concept with visuals and audio that make it feel so cool. The concept is rather confusing at first, and later on it is still kinda confusing how the same letter can have different shapes. The outline of where it gets placed can feel misleading too at times. Once I got to understanding it I really started enjoying it. I appreciated having the letters you need to type at the top of the screen.
With a tutorial I think this game would be very epic.
Inventory management was definetely a neat way to incorporate the theme. My team did something similar. Nice work!
Nice work! I liked the visual design and music. The sky change was really cool.
I think the UI could be a bit more intuitive. You could probably have the witch types aligned across the top instead of in a submenu. This way placing a witch would take two clicks, while currently it takes 4. I think the weaknesses and elements could be better communicated in game, I wasn't sure how to interact with those. I think the game could use some sound effects as well To second the comment above putting all the witches around the hut felt pretty meta, it made the game somewhat easy after I figured it out.
Awesome game! The level design and graphics are great and really harness the mood of Doom. Two things I found frustrating was not being able to skip the beginning text (which was annoying because I accidentally pressed escape one time), and that you can't just hold down fire to shoot, but with those two changes I think this game is really great.
Also I think it might be nice to have an indication or animation when enemies are hurting you, as currently it is hard to tell where the enemy that is hurting you is.
If yall would like please check out the game my team made, as we also went for a retro shooter vibe, though we stuck around half life and metal gear for ours: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/rogue-rails-fractured-cargo
This game is amazing. I love the graphics, bee physics, all that stuff. Audio is amazing, I love how sometimes the bee shooting feels like it is synced with the music. The game does get pretty hard, and with your player being a nebulous blob of bees it is hard to know what your hitbox is (maybe it is each bee). Either way, amazing work!
There is no executable to play, you might want to upload one to the itch page
I like that the game is multiplayer, but you have to wait way too long between turns. I also think the last player in the round gets a big advantage if you calculate score there.
Great graphics and music, very nice aesthetically. The car is a bit hard to control but I found it kinda fun. The only way I could find to beat the AI was to run into it which felt a bit cheap.
The flying controls were really cool. That paired with the audio and cool lights made the game have a very majestic and cool aesthetic. I was very confused on the second level but I see now what I need to do.
Some nice sound effects could really improve the experience, as well as some better guidance on objectives, but great work overall on a fun and nice looking flight game!
I'm unable to access the game, I think you need to make your itch page public
Really great game. Gameplay felt good and the narrative/theme worked with it super well. The mechanic of having the slime limit your space was a great interpretation of the theme and fit into the story well. I particularly found the moments where you are riding on the escape pod and shooting aliens as they approach you really cool.
I like the controls
Very nice, the pixel art style looked very good to me as well as the perspective. I think the game could use some music or extra audio. The gameplay felt like there was one really dominant strategy: 3 farm - 2 city. The smaller houses felt useless when the cities made so much more money. I think maybe some extra buildings or events could make the game a lot more interesting by moving it away from a single meta.
Really fun game! The idea is great and the game plays well. I think it is sometimes hard to tell when I am defeating enemies vs getting hurt by them. I like the graphical effects as well, liquid in the cauldron being a cool detail.
Very cool game, and very cool work on the engine. I think the camera being directly behind the player made it hard to see sometimes and awkward to control, maybe putting the camera a bit higher would help. Also, the game could probably use some more sound.
I couldn't quite see how to win, as I had collected almost everything in the level and the ship just kept going, but I had a good time anyway.
Maybe pack the simulator with the game, could be helpful
Great game, loved the puzzle design
Pretty cool game yall got here
Getting the same error as above, you need to include the dmg file in the zip I think
@epic-zeta It is working for me on windows now
This is a really cool game! The 3D intro is really fun and the mechanic of dragging the meteors feels unique. Dragging didn't work so well on my laptop's trackpad but I'm hoping to try it on a mouse later. Nice work!
Very fun, the graphics and physics make the game really amusing to play. The mechanic is fun and implements the theme well but makes the game pretty easy with the enemy design. I don't think the red enemies that sit there are very challenging, and the purple was a suprise given a lack of tutorial. Multiplayer would be amazing for this.
I'm trying to launch game.exe but it doesn't seem to be launching..
My gpu is Nvidia 4050 laptop version
epic
I like the graphics, the light effect on the pixel art looks nice and the monster designs are also cool.
I think that the light pickups in some cases don't give enough light to be worth picking up. I found myself on my first playthrough trying to go out of my way to get them, but in the grand scheme of things it just wasted more light, which made me just run to the right on my second playthrough and I won rather easily. If you want players to explore it might be worth making those more rewarding. As for replayability, more levels or maybe some randomized elements would be nice.
It also would be cool if the monsters in game had some effect on the game world.
One question: is the artwork pasted here and on the itch page concept art for the game? it is kinda cool but I was unsure how it related to the entry.
Great work on a first jam entry! This game is pretty fun
Feels like an old flash game, addicting
Took me 6 rebirths
Pretty fun, graphics were solid and puzzle wasn't too confusing. Could use audio and I think some proper aiming for the weapon would be good. Also my cursor got unfocused a few times from the notes.
This is a great game mechanic and a very interesting way to incorporate the theme. I also like the music and the glow effect on the sprites.
The character movement and collisions are not always clean, I think they could use a little polish. Especially the spike hitbox, wall jumps, and the orb colliding in walls.
Is the download no longer available? I don't see one

Gross, but amusing
This game was not made for this game jam
@jason-shapiro i believe this was caused by lag, it might be worth trying to put the game on low settings. Thank you for the feedback!
Thank you @maxededo you are awesome
Thanks @bmacintosh ! We've also found that once you've played through it once or twice it is pretty fun to try and get through the level as fast as you can. We are considering adding a timer mechanic for that in the future so players can try to beat their own times.
