Portrait of a robot climbing a dystopian megastructure by voxel 2023-10-19T04:09:26Z

Cool game, I thought it had a nice atmosphere and and the level design was very good.

Blow Ball by jk5000 2023-10-04T21:35:23Z

Interesting idea for a multiplayer game, I think the angle of the camera makes it hard to react when the ball gets moving in one direction. Maybe pull it back a bit. Also, after "blowing" for a while it felt like i wasn't applying much force

Blow Ball by jk5000 2023-10-21T17:26:12Z

i played it against a friend

BLOCKIES by Ayxs 2023-10-10T04:38:48Z

Very cool, I like the graphics and audio. I think the game could be a bit more engaging if you could rotate the pieces on more than one axis and if the "game features" element was more prominent, maybe a list that populates your features or something else.

Textris by davision 2023-10-10T04:01:45Z

Amazing game! This is such a cool concept with visuals and audio that make it feel so cool. The concept is rather confusing at first, and later on it is still kinda confusing how the same letter can have different shapes. The outline of where it gets placed can feel misleading too at times. Once I got to understanding it I really started enjoying it. I appreciated having the letters you need to type at the top of the screen.

With a tutorial I think this game would be very epic.

my high score. Man the math and stuff yall had to do to make this work, crazy

Shell Smash! by MartensCedric 2023-10-04T03:33:05Z

Inventory management was definetely a neat way to incorporate the theme. My team did something similar. Nice work!

The Cauldron Coven Coalition by Sarah 2023-10-03T21:37:15Z

Nice work! I liked the visual design and music. The sky change was really cool.

I think the UI could be a bit more intuitive. You could probably have the witch types aligned across the top instead of in a submenu. This way placing a witch would take two clicks, while currently it takes 4. I think the weaknesses and elements could be better communicated in game, I wasn't sure how to interact with those. I think the game could use some sound effects as well To second the comment above putting all the witches around the hut felt pretty meta, it made the game somewhat easy after I figured it out.

GOOSE SLAYER by StrangerYann 2023-10-15T16:10:37Z

Awesome game! The level design and graphics are great and really harness the mood of Doom. Two things I found frustrating was not being able to skip the beginning text (which was annoying because I accidentally pressed escape one time), and that you can't just hold down fire to shoot, but with those two changes I think this game is really great.

GOOSE SLAYER by StrangerYann 2023-10-15T16:14:43Z

Also I think it might be nice to have an indication or animation when enemies are hurting you, as currently it is hard to tell where the enemy that is hurting you is.

If yall would like please check out the game my team made, as we also went for a retro shooter vibe, though we stuck around half life and metal gear for ours: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/rogue-rails-fractured-cargo

TEMPLE IS ACID (feat. Bees 🐝) by samboyer276 2023-10-04T22:33:58Z

This game is amazing. I love the graphics, bee physics, all that stuff. Audio is amazing, I love how sometimes the bee shooting feels like it is synced with the music. The game does get pretty hard, and with your player being a nebulous blob of bees it is hard to know what your hitbox is (maybe it is each bee). Either way, amazing work!

Deckit by Rewzu 2023-10-17T03:53:00Z

This is such a fun game. really unique and innovative idea. I love the jiggle on the cars.

really impressed with how much is in here given it was a 48 hour game, especially with the Ai and stuff.

Slime Dungeon by pikachurian 2023-10-03T04:53:49Z

There is no executable to play, you might want to upload one to the itch page

Too Many Marbles by Thomas Volpato 2023-10-04T22:03:07Z

I like that the game is multiplayer, but you have to wait way too long between turns. I also think the last player in the round gets a big advantage if you calculate score there.

Midnight Racers by LoicLeGrosFrere 2023-10-05T07:09:40Z

Great graphics and music, very nice aesthetically. The car is a bit hard to control but I found it kinda fun. The only way I could find to beat the AI was to run into it which felt a bit cheap.

Not Enough Space by Elmos Minion 2023-10-08T05:02:38Z

The flying controls were really cool. That paired with the audio and cool lights made the game have a very majestic and cool aesthetic. I was very confused on the second level but I see now what I need to do.

Some nice sound effects could really improve the experience, as well as some better guidance on objectives, but great work overall on a fun and nice looking flight game!

Fit the Hole by yikescloud 2023-10-03T04:40:23Z

I'm unable to access the game, I think you need to make your itch page public

Space Infestation by Thierry 2023-10-15T16:25:29Z

Really great game. Gameplay felt good and the narrative/theme worked with it super well. The mechanic of having the slime limit your space was a great interpretation of the theme and fit into the story well. I particularly found the moments where you are riding on the escape pod and shooting aliens as they approach you really cool.

Mashroom by Nazorus 2023-10-03T06:40:32Z

Very fun, I like the art style a lot. WebGL build seems really bugged, played a lot better in the windows build for me.

Hot Drills by CodeRaurus 2023-10-03T07:05:24Z

I like the controls

Limited City by xCarl 2023-10-14T22:02:06Z

Very nice, the pixel art style looked very good to me as well as the perspective. I think the game could use some music or extra audio. The gameplay felt like there was one really dominant strategy: 3 farm - 2 city. The smaller houses felt useless when the cities made so much more money. I think maybe some extra buildings or events could make the game a lot more interesting by moving it away from a single meta.

Honk pong by Guzman 2023-10-04T03:51:15Z

How do I make the screen change colors like you got?

Shotgun hockey by Gastar 2023-10-14T21:54:56Z

Really fun game! The idea is great and the game plays well. I think it is sometimes hard to tell when I am defeating enemies vs getting hurt by them. I like the graphical effects as well, liquid in the cauldron being a cool detail.

Space Knight by darzu 2023-10-17T03:46:42Z

Very cool game, and very cool work on the engine. I think the camera being directly behind the player made it hard to see sometimes and awkward to control, maybe putting the camera a bit higher would help. Also, the game could probably use some more sound.

I couldn't quite see how to win, as I had collected almost everything in the level and the ship just kept going, but I had a good time anyway.

Mr. Orange & The Squeezer by Joe Bevis 2023-10-04T22:21:32Z

Maybe pack the simulator with the game, could be helpful

Stellar Fracture by epic_zeta 2023-10-03T04:43:35Z

Getting the same error as above, you need to include the dmg file in the zip I think

Stellar Fracture by epic_zeta 2023-10-04T14:26:38Z

@epic-zeta It is working for me on windows now

Stellar Fracture by epic_zeta 2023-10-04T14:27:30Z

This is a really cool game! The 3D intro is really fun and the mechanic of dragging the meteors feels unique. Dragging didn't work so well on my laptop's trackpad but I'm hoping to try it on a mouse later. Nice work!

Space Sumo King by Danjoricey 2023-10-04T22:27:15Z

Very fun, the graphics and physics make the game really amusing to play. The mechanic is fun and implements the theme well but makes the game pretty easy with the enemy design. I don't think the red enemies that sit there are very challenging, and the purple was a suprise given a lack of tutorial. Multiplayer would be amazing for this.

Locked in the DARK by Alexandru Barbanoua 2023-10-10T03:52:52Z

I like the graphics, the light effect on the pixel art looks nice and the monster designs are also cool.

I think that the light pickups in some cases don't give enough light to be worth picking up. I found myself on my first playthrough trying to go out of my way to get them, but in the grand scheme of things it just wasted more light, which made me just run to the right on my second playthrough and I won rather easily. If you want players to explore it might be worth making those more rewarding. As for replayability, more levels or maybe some randomized elements would be nice.

It also would be cool if the monsters in game had some effect on the game world.

One question: is the artwork pasted here and on the itch page concept art for the game? it is kinda cool but I was unsure how it related to the entry.

Cursed Shadows by Wonkanese 2023-10-04T15:02:55Z

Great work on a first jam entry! This game is pretty fun

Space LTD by Charlotte adams 2023-10-05T07:04:23Z

Pretty fun, graphics were solid and puzzle wasn't too confusing. Could use audio and I think some proper aiming for the weapon would be good. Also my cursor got unfocused a few times from the notes.

VoidChamber by Volnick 2023-10-04T22:14:10Z

This is a great game mechanic and a very interesting way to incorporate the theme. I also like the music and the glow effect on the sprites.

The character movement and collisions are not always clean, I think they could use a little polish. Especially the spike hitbox, wall jumps, and the orb colliding in walls.

Defrost by bogotolec 2023-10-04T21:56:48Z

pretty fun with friends. I feel like it would be pretty imbalanced if you had more than like 4 players

Rogue Rails: Fractured Cargo by Phillips Albright 2023-10-04T12:42:20Z

@jason-shapiro i believe this was caused by lag, it might be worth trying to put the game on low settings. Thank you for the feedback!

Rogue Rails: Fractured Cargo by Phillips Albright 2023-10-05T17:44:36Z

Thank you @maxededo you are awesome

Rogue Rails: Fractured Cargo by Phillips Albright 2023-10-07T07:40:14Z

Thanks @bmacintosh ! We've also found that once you've played through it once or twice it is pretty fun to try and get through the level as fast as you can. We are considering adding a timer mechanic for that in the future so players can try to beat their own times.
