Your welcome, thank you for playing.
Saw the stream. Fun and unique base mechanics, but repetative gameplay. Great Job!
The graphics are nice. I especially like the squash and stretch you added to the animations. The game is also fun and well put together. However, the controls are a little wonky. Great job.
This game is really great. Our game for the jam uses a similar concept so that's cool. One thing, are you supposed to be able to interact with the wires without having to move there? Because that's what happened with me. Also, after completing the game it didn't show me my score and the audio stuttered. I really like this game you did a great job. The sprites are good, the music, and the gameplay.
This game is extremely polished and feels like a final release. The concept is cool and the game play is solid. The models and audio are also well done. Almost no complaints amazing job.
@watermelonandme I added an update that fixes some minor bugs and brings down the mouse sensitivity a little. However, this update is only available in downloads as I wanted to preserve the web version as the original jam one. I plan on releasing another update soon to add an options menu to manually adjust the sensitivity. Thank you for playing.
@prostone If you are referring to the text that tells you how to move and look around. That text is supposed to be the first thing players see to help them learn the game. And yes, the first puzzle can be solved without recording. Thank you for asking.
@sockpuppetcow Thank you for your comment. We're glad you enjoyed the gameplay and the graphics. Did you check out the song in the downloads? We didn't have enough time to add audio to the game, but the song was finished so we added it to the downloads.
@danframe Thank you. If objects go missing try pressing 1 on top of your keyboard to restart the puzzle. The puzzle with the four square pressure plate requires you to use your clones. These plates can only be activated by boxes, and you only need four boxes to solve this puzzle. The giant gray tower is not meant to be climbed. We actually made this game as a team, one programmer, one 3D artist, and one musician. We didn't have time to add audio to the game, but we had a song ready so we included it in the downloads section of itch.io.
@thecreator We're really glad you enjoyed the game. We plan to release another update soon to improve the games visuals. The original 3 day jam version will always be available in downloads, and the web version is also currently the jam one.
@sockpuppetcow Thanks for the complement. We'll try to add the song to the game in future updates.
@elbbard Thank you. We'll try to update the visuals and tweak somethings here in there in future updates.
The game mechanic is cool and I am a huge fan of games that use sprite on 3D levels. The rotate mechanic can be improved a bit. I would be like to rotate both way instead of one. Also, sometimes the rotations are smooth and other times it's a sudden cut. This makes playing the game very disorienting. The player moves a bit too fast, but it's not game braking. What does this game have to do with being stuck in a loop? I got stuck on the level where you have to climb around a stone column. The player kept falling through the floor. Do you have any tips for beating this part of the game?
I like the concept of turning your previous loses into a future win. The art style is also nice and what made me play the game. However, the jump feels off. When I jump in the game my horizontal velocity is locked and cannot be adjust in mid air. This made the game harder then it should be and was really frustrating. Also, what is the theme of the game. Why does the alien collect babies, what is he going to do with them?
@harry-holschier I'm really happy you enjoyed the game. You receive the first comment award ! <- pretend this is a trophy.
If you are willing to give the game another shot, you have to currently hold the correct key to open the corresponding door. Meaning using the number keys, 1-9, or the scroll wheel, to find and hold the correct key before opening the door. Unfortunately, I didn't add this to the help menu. Sorry about that.
@ivysly Thank you very much. We decided to make a smaller atmospheric game, rather then a less polished level based. The creature's AI was the hardest thing to code.
@fedev Thank you. Besides the main floor, there's a basement, and a small attic. It is a little on the hard side, but it's definitely beatable. The player walks faster then the monster, so you can out run him.
@souptik-datta Congratulations and thank you, I'm glad our game could be the first horror game you played this jam.
@r3dleg Thanks for commenting! The monster had slight inspiration from no face.
@kraig Thank you for playing. When you reach zero sanity, the creature doesn't scare immediately. This makes the game more unpredictable, and might make it so you could win by the skin of your teeth.
Good game. At first I did not know how to play, and I didn't notice the how to play button until later. However, the game was intuitive enough that I was able to figure it out. The strategizing over what tile/resource to prioritize is great. And I personally like the 3d pixel hybrid art style. I haven't beaten the game yet and I don't know if it's beatable. But every time I replayed the game, I got closer and closer to winning and tried new strategies. The art of the gameover screen is a bit rough, and the audio is anything stand out, but all that is understandable for a jam game. One thing that is trouble however, are the random tiles. Sometimes, I plan to go one way, but then a tile changes and my plans are thwarted. Though, this kinda adds to the theme of the jam, unstable. If you don't mind my asking, is the level randomly generated or premade. It feels a little random, but there are also distinct biomes, like the desert and ocean areas. Overall, I enjoyed this game, and like seeing how I was able to improve each play though by strategizing.
I really like this game. The animations, the bullet hell fps hybrid gameplay, the music, and the cute rock monster dog things. I like that stability system the game has, though at first I didn't know that you get knock out if you reach zero stability. The animations and art style is really good, though some of the play attack animations are a bit rough, it's understandable because this is a jam game. Though I don't the the music fits, it sounds amazing, did you compose it. The 3d bullet hell patterns for the boss are really creative. Even thought the game was short, it was really fun. The game is really balanced, so that it feels like I could lose, but it's not difficult to win. Unrelated, is a strategy to purposely get hit by the boss's bullets to lower your stability bar if it gets too high?
Very cool! It's hard to find where to start, but after you do, it's a pretty solid game. I like the models and the play on words with the theme :). Overall pretty solid entry, thanks for submitting! My highest score was 33.
The art is really good for only 3 days. The gameplay was interesting. It's sometimes hard to tell what's happening, but that could be me. Other than than that it was pretty good. Nice job!
At first, I was just grinding for points, but after a while, I had too many points up to a point where the game cut to a "thanks for playing" screen and didn't let me get all the upgrades. Maybe have a way for the player to rotate the camera, it's hard to see what's behind me and there's a chance of getting jumped by a stray enemy. I had fun playing it nevertheless. Good job!
@jitspoe Thank you very much. If I had more time, I would have added an indicator on how long you've held the button. Congratulations on getting the highest score I've seen so far.
@old-man-dave Thank you very much.
@exevirus Thank you for your comment. That means a lot since the other jam games were pretty fun. The reason I went with a single button input was opposed to the gameplay for the other game that got scraped for this jam, which was fairly complex.
@mooptychunk Thanks. The gxc rating is greatly appreciated. I was in the gxc notice me jam as well. I haven't voted for the no.1 game yet, but I'll be sure to consider skeleton fighters. That game actually inspired me to make the game for this jam simpler. Since our gxc jam game, fightcore, was a bit over ambitious.
the gameplay loop felt nice. The art was simple and appealing. There was one glitch in the game where harvesting just stops working for some plants. Besides that, I really enjoyed this game. Good job!
I was shocked on how much stuff there was for the settings menu. The gameplay was pretty fun. I enjoyed the parts where you get to fly into a ship. The only thing is, it gets really hard to pick up items, and use them quickly when going at high speeds, and sometimes it's hard to know when an enemy is going to attack you. Sometimes when I went by, the enemies did nothing to me. Besides that, I liked this game. The extra polish definitely adds to the experience. Nice job!
I had a really good time with this game. I didn't know how to DDR rhythm segments were gonna work with the game, but they worked surprisingly well! There was teh occasional collision bug, but it wasn't big. It had a lot of content for only 3 days and the humor was good. Very well done!
