I couldn't make the meat increase. So I keep ending up with a game over due to not paying back the loan I got (even though I never asked for it :D ) Graphics are solid. Missed a soundtrack to accompany my bad descissions ha ha ha

Reminded me of Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe or the McDonalds Video Game. The first time though I didn't realize I had to pay the $30 loan and I thought it was automatic, would be nice if when it is due the game will 'attempt' to pay it off for you. Either way, really fun game, good job!

Love it, game was simple and even though after placing a few buildings I could see where it was going, I still kept playing to finish it off, great game.

nice! I thought that displaying the food and money with rate/turn instead of a set amount was interesting, but it would have been nice to be able to see net food instead of having to do a little math each time lol. Satisfying game and nice colors, wish that where you place things matters more. gj overall!

The core gameplay of the game has been fully represented, with no obvious bugs throughout the entire process. It is highly aligned with the theme.

A fun and addictive tycoon game that's compact and finely crafted. Though it doesn't offer a lot of content yet, the overall game structure is well-defined. Perhaps adding some small challenges could make the game even more engaging. For example, placing certain tiles next to each other could give you bonus rewards. All in all, I'm really enjoying it!

I managed to win on my third playthrough! Pretty nice. My biggest confusion came from not knowing what the red font and the green font were. I thought the red one was my net food production. I think it would've been better if you did the math for me :P

Not much in the way of bells and whistles but it's solid and functional. I can see how this can be a foundation of a puzzle-like city builder. Congrats on your first game using Godot!

Fun! A bit simple, but I enjoyed my time. Echoing a previous comment: I lost the first time around because I assumed the loan would be auto-paid when it was due. I lost even though I had the required funds - the UX there could probably be polished a bit. Nice job!

love isometric citybuilders like this! - i feel the cities make the houses seem pretty useless, since it seems like you can just repeatedly build cities and farms to win really fast.

If you consider expanding it, i think some other trade-off to building them would go a long way; what @nilan said about tiles affecting neighbour tiles could do some good

very impressive stuff for a first time godot game, especially an isometric one! - I almost tried to make my first godot game too, but i wimped out. :p

Similar to other comments, I was expecting the loans to auto-pay. Other than that, nicely done. I think it would be interesting to make houses a bit more competitive somehow, not sure what the best approach is

Good idea and implementation! At one attempt i decided to build as many houses and fields in time before loan paying day but forgot about it and lost at 300 coins loan, but next time I finally won!

Very good concept The graphics are very pretty, everything is well executed. It would be nice to add the possibility of evolving fields and other buildings, as well as unlocking other needs after a while

Beautiful execution. GG

Nice graphics and functional but a bit straightforward and easy to beat without much strategy or thought. A few more simple mechanics would really help keep the game a bit more engaging.

I liked it and it's a finished jam game so great job!

Took a couple of playthroughs to figure out but when I did it was pretty enjoyable and satisfying to see the numbers go and each level beaten. Nicely balanced game!

betovf 2023-10-14 16:44

Nice entry! I thought the loan would get automatically paid when reached day 0 if I got enough money

Very nice, the pixel art style looked very good to me as well as the perspective. I think the game could use some music or extra audio. The gameplay felt like there was one really dominant strategy: 3 farm - 2 city. The smaller houses felt useless when the cities made so much more money. I think maybe some extra buildings or events could make the game a lot more interesting by moving it away from a single meta.
