I really like the mood and colors, good job guys!
Mood is dark and sounds brings suspence. But it's too short and not so hard, to be honest. Also character movement is too fast. Also I noticed that main character of the game is a miner who is afraid of darkness. Nice choise of job for him :) Nice entry, hope to see something bigger in the future!
the sound track is really scary in a good way. Loved the game level design and the pixel art. I think the player movement is little bit fast isn't it? would love to have the controls like the Mario/splunky in this game. Keep up the good work.
love it omg
Am I supposed to move at supersonic speed? In case that's not intended, you might've forgotten DeltaTime in your movement calculation script
Fantastic atmosphere/mood
Nice game, though I wish there was a restart button so we won't have to refresh the page.

really getting a kick out of this game. Love it!!
Fun idea for a game. The miner was too fast and needs a restart button when game over happens, but I like the idea of keeping the light on to survive. Good luck with further development of it.
Nice concept. The music and the graphics really set the tone for a dark and spooky atmosphere, which fit the theme pretty well. If you're gonna continue working on this game, there's definitely lots of room for improvement. My one tiny suggestion would be to add some transitions between the menu and the level, whether it would be a fade or something else is up to you, but ultimately there are many things to consider for further polishing :)
I like the graphics, the light effect on the pixel art looks nice and the monster designs are also cool.
I think that the light pickups in some cases don't give enough light to be worth picking up. I found myself on my first playthrough trying to go out of my way to get them, but in the grand scheme of things it just wasted more light, which made me just run to the right on my second playthrough and I won rather easily. If you want players to explore it might be worth making those more rewarding. As for replayability, more levels or maybe some randomized elements would be nice.
It also would be cool if the monsters in game had some effect on the game world.
One question: is the artwork pasted here and on the itch page concept art for the game? it is kinda cool but I was unsure how it related to the entry.
Good job! Excellent work on the atmosphere and nice pixel graphics.
Good level design; I liked the dead ends from which there's no escape.
I managed to reach the Floppa and complete the level!
Ok, I would like to play the original version made under 72 hours, so I can review, is it the one on itch.io? The site says it was updated 5 days ago. I can't judge a jam project if it had work made after the jam.
@coffeup-studios source code was not updated Ill make a link with original version
The mood in this is amazing! I feel some of the pickup could be more rewarding, as sometimes it didn't feel worth taking the detour to pick them. And I honestly didn't like some of the dead ends, as there is no way for me as a player to know if I am going to be trap, which feels quite cheap. The art is also great!
@le-don thanks for the comment, yes the dead spots are something added by the level designer specifically to make the game a bit longer and to motivate the player to try other ways to get to the exit and if a miner were to run into such a situation in reality, I would be sure that the miner could reach a dead end and not find the way out and die. What about the headphones, I added more time, which may be the reason that the headphones give less effect
Amazing work for a first game!
Cool idea and design. I like the atmosphere that you create with sound. Amazing work guys.
nice game, please give us feedback, thanks
