Really cool stuff! Amazing that it's in your own engine! :O

curtis-pelissier 2020-04-22 09:14

Your game is really nice. There is a great atmosphere with tensions. You should accentuate the difficulty when you progress on planets by punishing the player when he kills non-infected people (even if it's funny :smiling_imp: ).

I've also made a game when you must keep the humanity alive, check it out ;)

pomeroyb 2020-04-22 09:24

Very well polished game, love the little details like the pod turning red as it enters the atmosphere

alxertion 2020-04-22 09:32

Good graphics and animations, and an interesting idea. At first I wasn't sure what to do, so I was just killing off everybody before they reached me, and then I realized I should only kill the infected  The music was kinda funky too; nice work!

anahandley 2020-04-22 09:36

Very well thought! I think if you make art just a little bit more polished you can make it to a good addictive game that people download from markets and play on their way home.

koljam 2020-04-22 09:42

Wow! At first I thaught: This is waaay too easy. But then I noticed there where more levels. It was a nice paced, satisfying game. Thank you and good luck!

bionikmonster 2020-04-22 12:05

Honestly I didn't think I would like this game so much! very nicely done. The only point is, once you've understood the mecanins of the game, it feels a bit like the game is not resisting you enough. It would be appreciated to add a bit of difficulty here and there :). Maybe something like events, that have to be handled. Anyway, your game is great

Is it a 420 on BB8's body by the way?

yinian 2020-04-22 12:35

The opening was really good. At first I tried to kill everyone, but later I found out that it was to find out the bad guys. I like the effect of scanning. This game is great and fascinating

rokevicius 2020-04-22 21:27

Great game!

arefnue 2020-04-22 21:37

Having own engine and making game with it. Nice work!

kimist42 2020-04-22 21:46

Wonderful game! I spent a bunch of hours on it! Thanks for it!

rongefilet 2020-04-22 21:54

Oh well, up there with my favorite games from this Jam. The huge team must help but anyway, a very pretty, moody and polished game, congrats! (I will definitely keep the post-jam version around to see the other endings)

ristoretto 2020-04-22 22:08

This game was great! It works very well when you kill enemies with the laser, trying to wait at the right movement to not kill multiple civilians, and deciding which enemies that are too close and need to get killed anyway.

I didn’t understand if you should complete x number of missions, so I quit before I reached any ending because it looked like the levels were repeating.

tangiblegames 2020-04-23 09:58

@ristoretto You can end the game by pressing "Abandon Planet" on the main screen (one with the mothership above the planet). Depending on the number of people you rescued, you will see one of the 6 (six) endings.

tangiblegames 2020-04-23 10:05

@rongefilet Well, yes, having a huge team helps, but at the same time we spent one day out of three discussing our options

We had: - Two programmers, - One level/gameplay designer, - Two artists - One unskilled worker (that would be me) who also made sfx +one person who only had time to participate in discussions during the first day

+wife of the above mentioned unskilled worker who made two music tracks (isn't she lovely?).

We are adults (mostly with kids), so the most difficult part was to find time to participate. Oh well... :joy:

ristoretto 2020-04-23 12:39

@tangiblegames okay, is the number of people rescued from the last mission or all of the missions? If there's from multiple missions, it might work to have some kind of checklist for the number of missions available, if you make an update for a post jam version. Anyway great game!

tangiblegames 2020-04-23 20:50

@ristoretto All missions combined. Yeah, currently the number of missions is unlimited, and the difficulty is toned down to make it suitable for the jam. And surely there is lots we'd want to fix in case we return to work on the game. Thank you for your feedback!

shintaro-kk 2020-04-25 10:47

cool game and nice mechanics. but no tutorials and explanations so i just failed to save humanity :) and some sounds are very loud

joemid 2020-04-25 14:27

So many little piles of pure carbon.

What a horrifying and hilarious game. Saturated in moral dilemma! The cute and photo-real juxtaposition kind of recalls an Amanita game. I love it! The scenario also reminded me of the BSG remake- with a Covid-19 twist. The sound effects are spine tingling- from the fiery screams to the cold voice over the loudspeaker. Doubly impressed that this was built from the ground up. Congratulations and thanks for the game!

maskrosen 2020-04-27 17:30

Really good game. Best one I tried in this jam so far. The graphics and the animations was really beautiful. Good sound effects and music as well. The gameplay was interesting and has quite the potential. Maybe some more missions with different new mechanics and it could be a full blown game. Good job!

tangiblegames 2020-04-27 19:48

@joemid Thanks for the review! So glad you liked it. Ah, these loudspeaker announcements, I personally like how they turned out. Exactly what we planned to achieve in terms of atmosphere. And BSG ("Brace for contact!") - that is my second love after Babylon 5.

@maskrosen Thanks! You are so kind :)

@shintaro-kk Well, we rarely have time to add tutorials, but really sorry about that. And making of the sounds was also a challenge with so little time left, I didn't have time to work on equalising.

eduardogacn 2020-04-28 23:46

good game

fajpaj 2020-04-30 15:40

Very nice game! The gameplay was simple enough to pick up but interesting enough to keep me engaged. The art style worked out quite well. I'd be intersted to see how more mechanics would change this game up and make it more interesting long-term.
