Game looked great! Controls felt a little weird though, the character felt really floaty and didn't seem to go where I wanted him to. Other than that, pretty fun little game!

Neat game! Both the art style and music feels good! My only complaint would be that after hitting an obstacle it takes a long time for the character to fall off the screen, so that the game could be restarted.
This is pretty neat - I particularly liked the aesthetic you went for! For me, the controls felt off and were difficult. I think the gravity may have been throwing me off. As others have mentioned, being able to quickly replay the game rather than watch a cutscene would have made the experience better. Nonetheless, very well done :)
Cool twist of downwell !! Fallen physic is a bit weird but still cool to control. Nicely done !
Nice game, it reminds of of some other (non-LD) game but I can't remember what. It looked great and I really liked the concept. I personally found it really difficult and it was a bit annoying to have to go through the tutorial on each play through.
The movement did seem really slow both for jumping between the walls and how fast they were descending, Descending slowly isn't really a problem at all, it just seemed a bit off visually. On the other hand, the character taking a long time to jump between walls as well as changing how long depending on how you got there made things really hard to time properly.
I also ran into issues where I would jump to avoid the obstacles on one wall then when I was in the air a new obstacle would appear on the other wall from the bottom of the screen. With the speed moving between walls I would just land on the new obstacle and there wasn't really anything I could do which was frustrating.
Fun gameplay loop, the simple 3 color art style definitely works in the game's favor; it's always clear where the obstacles are and the music is very pleasant. The only thing potentially holding it back is lack of variety, but what is there is solid enough that it isn't much of a problem.
I have mixed fillings about this game. For me game is too easy, and I don't get any fun from it. Jumping and falling is weird, but predictable. Graphics and music is ok. Pros: - easy to start, one button with tutorial - graphics - music
Cons: - too easy, baybe should you add more obstacles?
Solid game loop, reminds me of a lot of mobile games :D If you take the project further definitely consider publishing on mobile!

Nice copycat of NinJump ^^ It reminds me my high school years
I think you should just tweak the inputs. Letting the spacebar down when landing on other wall makes the player auto-jump. But it's hard to get the perfect timing to stop pressing the spacebar while we are ajusting our position.
Good job with the tools, making music Sonic Pi x) Nice work!
The game looks super good, I really love the art style of it! The only thing I do have to say is the controls feel weird to say the least. I'm not entirely sure what it is about it, it's almost like it's too floaty to accurately predict where you will land. Other than that the game is super well made and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I love how it was inspired by downwell! Really cool game :D
The movement left too floaty in my opinion but other than that it was great!
Good game. I really like the graphics. Sometimes the jump and mid air jump feel a bit unresponsive. Anyways a nice arcade or mobile game!

Quite interesting game. I like the graphics and the gameplay in general. The sound is cool too. The point that most caught my attention was the unique mechanics and creative interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.
I really like the Spectrum-esque graphics and the excellent music, but I'm sorry to say that I gave up on this pretty quickly... the controls were kinda difficult to master and it was hard to predict where my character would go when jumping. I'm sure with enough practise I could have gotten used to the physics, but the thing that stopped me playing was how long it takes to die and restart... On the jam version, you have to go through the tutorial jumps every game too, which adds to the time taken before you can get into the action - and in the case of the tutorial jumps, they seem to set you up such that more often than not I hit the first obstacle on each run though... then have to wait to die, restart, go through the tutorial jumps again and then, well... hit the first obstacle again!!
I had a bit more luck with the post jam version and actually got to collect some of the gold - I can see how with a bit of tweaking this could be really addictive. I think you need to play with the physics just a little, perhaps a more obvious bar for the powered jumps, but most importantly when I die, I wanna be able to restart within 5 seconds max!!
Both the idea and the art style don't feel too original, but were well executed non-then the less. The controls are a bit too "floaty", I think. Not really snappy. Yet the game was really well-made, if one has your time constraint in mind. Good job.
Publish a web build so I can play your game!
Cute graphics and a nice soundtrack! I liked the tutorial a lot, lots of games start immediately and expect the player to start without explaining themselves. This one gave me time to see the controls and ease into it at my own pace which barely any arcade jam games do. I think this would benefit from more traditional-style physics where the character moves in a smoother arc to make things a bit more predictable, and speed up the death-to-score time (fixed in your post jam version!). This would make a really nice mobile game with a few extra features. Good job!
Thank you all for playing Fall Miner and taking the time to give your beneficial honest feedback. Really appreciate it.
@cheesepencil - web build would be nice. The engine i used doesnt make web builds unfortunately. Having said that filesize is not that big. 10mb i believe.
Nice game. Graphic is monochrome but it looks good, sound is good too.
