Blue Submarine by Patomkin 2021-04-27T10:19:36Z

Great job! Really innovative with the card interactions, the systems interact really well together. Would be great to see some more power ups or something if you continued to build on it because I'd love to play more! Lovely mood, great overall submission.

Hole Town by dob 2021-04-29T12:43:35Z

Loved it, really impressive mechanics for such a short time span. The match 3/rock size interactions are great, and the cascading bombs feel great when you pull them off. Fun sounds too! Thanks

Kickstart Minecart by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2021-05-06T09:35:36Z

This would be a great arcade mobile game! I agree with @retrome 's comments about clicking and holding to pull yourself, which would get rid of the need for 2 buttons and simplify things. Then it would also work on mobile. With a bit of polish (upgrades? some more features in menus, a bit more animation on the scoring screen) then I think this would be a great app. I'd like to be able to see a bit more of the stage, so that you can plan your route a bit, at the moment I was just running into gems by accident instead of seeing them and planning to get to them so a bit of a wider camera would help the player see what's coming. Overall great entry with really nice graphics and music that matches the energy of the game. Innovative gameplay that feels like a full published game. Really great job!

Wiki Vortex by impbox 2021-04-27T12:13:11Z

Nice creation! Quite tricky to navigate, but rewards the player for taking their time and thinking about likely routes. Enjoyable and an innovative mechanic!

Just Down Jack by joewan 2021-05-05T17:28:16Z

Really tight controls, enjoyed it a lot and the graphics/music gave it a nice arcadey feel. Great work!

Infinity Dive by keepee 2021-04-27T13:51:33Z

So visceral for something so simple. Great job!

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-27T21:57:14Z

Great job, I spent 21 minutes playing and got so annoyed at the last level (in a good way). I feel like I mastered the mechanics, which were way deeper than I expected at the beginning. Great art, music, innovative gameplay. Overall fantastic entry

Salvage by fueelin 2021-05-04T08:57:24Z

This is surprisingly tricky considering the simple mechanics. Innovative gameplay! I thought it could do with some clearer mechanics, I found it difficult to understand how many weights I would have to drop in order to float etc. But with some clearer weight feedback, some faster movement and some tutorial levels that explain the mechanics a bit I think this would work really well as a full length puzzle game. Great work!

Salvage by fueelin 2021-05-05T14:12:29Z

@fueelin I can totally see how with a lighting engine and some tweaks this could become a great atmospheric puzzler. Have you played The Swapper? I could see your game becoming something similar if it were expanded upon.

The plot chickens by JPiolho 2021-04-27T10:01:17Z

Very nice look! I got stuck on the "something sweet" part, since the fish guy stopped talking to me even though I thought I'd found the item. But enjoyed it a lot along the way. Game was funny too!

JöRD by PierreNS 2021-04-27T11:48:40Z

Impressive looking game! The 3D/2D stuff was really cool. There wasn't much feedback about what was going wrong so I found that I always died without really understanding why, but I enjoyed the variety of things to mess with. Nice audio and humour as well.

Fall Miner by MZA 2021-05-10T18:34:14Z

Cute graphics and a nice soundtrack! I liked the tutorial a lot, lots of games start immediately and expect the player to start without explaining themselves. This one gave me time to see the controls and ease into it at my own pace which barely any arcade jam games do. I think this would benefit from more traditional-style physics where the character moves in a smoother arc to make things a bit more predictable, and speed up the death-to-score time (fixed in your post jam version!). This would make a really nice mobile game with a few extra features. Good job!

INTO THE FRAME by Gaming Night 2021-04-27T12:41:03Z

Good job! Found this quite tricky and especially by the time you get to the last level it's difficult to slow down time, move things about and then move the white piece in real time. I feel like it might have worked better for me personally if there was a way to move the white piece while blocking with the blue/yellow

Deep Sea Phishing by Literal Games 2021-04-27T11:00:25Z

Thanks for the feedback everyone! @abigailcorfman yes haha, it comes up 4 times which hopefully isn't too annoying. We were trying to get the balance between novelty/length right which was tricky to balance.

@theseusinabottle I think we could have made the controls a bit clearer / easier to switch between. You can advance the robot text with the keyboard though!

Deep Sea Phishing by Literal Games 2021-04-28T09:22:43Z

@flying-dog-fish Ah, sorry about that. Perhaps we should have put more info in like some feedback about which files you want. You need to click+drag the folders from the top window into the bottom and avoid the mine icons. Thanks for your feedback!

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-03T16:08:34Z

Enjoyed it a lot, really cool mechanics and a challenging game while still being chill. Great work!

Bunny Bunny Dig Dig by ZakAmana 2021-04-27T21:28:15Z

Never found any diamonds but apart from that had a great time! Great art and music with some really satisfying moment-to-moment gameplay

Down the Edge by SludgeKey 2021-04-27T11:07:52Z

Nice graphics! The shadows and pixel art work really well together to create a spooky atmosphere. The controls on the menu (arrows) don't seem to work, it's just WASD which might be a bit tricky for people with European keyboards, and it doesn't mention that you can press space to drop a mine! The drop-a-mine mechanic is really cool, the way that you can drop a lot but they are dangerous for your sub turns it into a cool risk/reward mechanic. That was my favourite mechanic I've seen so far, hopefully lots of people try pressing space to see it. Cool game, nice mood and audio as well.

Spermy the Whale Goes Deeper and Deeper by Flying Dog Fish 2021-04-27T11:35:39Z

Cute game, congrats! The difficulty is pretty nice I think, I tried and failed the first time but on the second go I got to the bottom at 73.1s, which was cool! Charming little game, enjoyed the way it feels hand-crafted.

Edit: and congrats to your friend, the music is really good on this one.

The Creature Said DEEPER by UseCondsomsKid 2021-04-27T12:44:21Z

The narration adds a great reason to keep playing, even if it was a bit weird sometimes. I would have liked the levels to feel a bit more designed so that I had to manage the viruses/antibiotic. I really liked the boss fight though, that tested my knowledge of the movement system from the base game. The environments graphics are really cool!

Bus Crawl by Valid 2021-04-27T10:54:06Z

Weirdly addictive even though it's so simple! Enjoyable as it speeds up and satisfying to see all the buses speeding around the island. Great work, I like this one a lot

6 Feet Under by theStoff 2021-05-05T17:51:43Z

Great game, would have liked some of the levels to be a bit shorter so that dying near the end wasn't such an extreme time punishment but really nice. Great feeling movement with really nice art and sound.

Driller by CookieRA 2021-05-04T08:41:32Z

Good work, I enjoyed the variety of enemies, ores, layouts etc! Impressive stuff for the short time frame, I agree that some of the gameplay like which enemies are possible to kill and how the shop works could be clearer, but overall a nice entry! I liked the upgrade system especially.

20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY by Arivenzys 2021-05-04T13:46:35Z

I agree with all the praise on here, great art/music, unique gameplay and fantastic voice acting! Made me laugh and gave me enough decisions to stay engaged and want to do better in a second run. Brilliant entry!

SpinPlan by Fupi 2021-04-27T11:27:53Z

Nice job, I like the little eggos and how they slowly break! The mouse controls might have felt better if you're click+dragging the planet rather than dragging in a straight line, so it kind of spins the planet if you click and drag all around the meatball? Very funny game, cute graphics and a fun vibe!

Edit: I didn't realise you made the music, the music is great!!

SpinPlan by Fupi 2021-04-27T11:37:56Z

@fupi haha don't listen to the newgrounds comments, the Ludum Dare comments are the ones that count

Plunge by ZwodahS 2021-04-27T15:54:26Z

I got a time of 58.31, nice work! I also had a couple issues with frame rate, maybe a downloadable version would sort them out? I thought this was really fun, I especially like all the particle effects and the subtle fade in/out of the light-speed effect. Fun stuff!

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-04-27T13:11:56Z

Great aesthetic and vibes. Really nice art and sound. I liked the word-choosing mechanics a lot, and tried to say something meaningful-ish each time. I liked the different "worlds" you travel through and including the ending made me feel like I'd gotten the full experience.

To The Core by Paulsams 2021-04-27T12:54:14Z

Haven't given you a rating yet since I downloaded it and it didn't seem to work with my mouse input? The mouse was registering since the view through portals was moving but the character viewpoint was stuck?

River, Carry Me Away by Noire 2021-05-10T18:46:18Z

Lovely piece of work, like playing an interactive music video. I really liked the constellation at the end, would have liked to see more of that and have the star selection be a bit more intuitive. Lovely graphics and music, and really impressive to manage such a big team.

Dreamer by James_7777 2021-04-28T09:29:21Z

Really fun presentation, I like the weird transitions and colour shifting and the graphics are charming while still being clear. I was a bit confused about how to increase my score multiplier, maybe I just didn't get far enough? The music was fun but could have been a slightly smoother loop to give it a bit more polish. Overall I enjoyed this one!

Nadiria by ArguablyArugula 2021-04-27T22:32:15Z

Nice work! One thing I'd like to see changed is the level design - there's so much empty space that it takes a long time to navigate it all. I'd rather have some tighter levels instead of spending lots of time going through empty space. However, I liked the music and the gameplay was good whenever there were enemies about! If you want to get a ranking make sure you rate some other peoples' games!

Impalevator by Merpui 2021-04-27T19:46:14Z

Got down to 11000 and something before dying. I thought the difficulty was really well balanced. Enjoyed the singing action and the music too!

Fine Line Mine by spyranteros 2021-04-27T22:20:25Z

Nice job, I agree with the feedback on here in general, I really liked the mining mechanic where you had to be careful not to destroy the coin. Great music too!

Squareroot mining by omnes ludos 2021-04-28T17:49:43Z

Nice work, the fact it's all in C/SDL is impressive. It would be cool to have some kind of victory screen if you reach the end with your time displayed. I liked the stripped back gameplay and while I'd like something with a bit more depth if it were a longer game, for a game jam the gameplay worked. Nice music too!

DEEP GOLF by Rendy 2021-04-27T11:56:11Z

Really nice! Love the graphics and the leaderboard at the end!

LostBrother by MeritCoding 2021-05-03T16:19:28Z

This has a hand-made feel which I liked. I would probably drop the music next time and just add simple sound effects or stick to one track to focus on. The controls could be a bit tighter and the levels be a bit clearer so that the platforming is challenging but fair. I thought the section near the end where you have to run away was intense, you got the atmosphere spot on! Hopefully you can build on this foundation and use the knowledge to make improvements in your next game, I'd like to see some more considered colours so that the player/projectiles stand out a bit more against the background! And since you seem more passionate about the game art/music/gameplay than the dialogue I wouldn't worry too much about adding more story. Rather, it would be good to see more level variation and improved shooting mechanics. Enjoyable entry, well done!

Into the Abyss by oeschmid 2021-04-27T10:36:33Z

Nice job! Was nice going through 10 levels, level 9 is very clever. Would be cool if the mechanics were explored a bit more in spaces where you have some breathing room, the pace is quite fast and so I didn't quite have a full grasp of the mechanics by level 9. Still, enjoyed it very much and would love to see the mechanics explored some more.

Deeply Dazed by HangerGames 2021-04-27T11:21:45Z

Very chill game! I didn't quite get the hang of how-to-solve a puzzle apart from trying random values? Maybe it's just not very intuitive for me to think about those shapes. But I thought it was very innovative and fun to play with!

Sisyphus by Yizhao Jin 2021-05-07T11:40:54Z

I think I maybe got stuck since I thought I got to the top but nothing seemed to happen for me. You've done a really good job of emulating the frustration and tedium of the story, which doesn't make a fun game but is really interesting to play and think about. It's an interesting and meaningful gameplay experience which I'm really glad I had. Really interesting take on the story, and feels really unique. I'd love some more story included to give some more in-game text to expand on your game's ideas. Thanks for creating this, I'm glad I played!

TamanDua by Funambulist Cat 2021-04-27T15:44:13Z

Nice work, really like the music and art which works really well together. Gameplay is simple but the style is the focus and it's a real stand-out from the games I've played so far. Great game!

Deepest Mine by SmelJey 2021-04-27T10:25:47Z

Nice little game, impressive amount of systems. Might have been nice to include an option to turn off enemies to help players learn the game. Cute little bugs though! I enjoyed sending the little dwarfs to mine and arming them with swords to protect themselves!

DUNGEON SMASHER by goodwincek 2021-04-27T15:58:20Z

flying up to the top and then smashing down hard was great, with a huge crater and screen shake! would be good to add a bit more gameplay/decision-making on top but it's a solid foundation that's already fun to play. Nice work

A Frogs Tale by Gorethumb 2021-05-04T08:32:26Z

Nice graphics! I could see this being very cool if you fleshed out the combat a bit, would love to see a bit more info like my health etc and be able to do a heal if it's getting low. Cool entry with lots of ideas!

Deep blackhole and there is Duck inside by st00nsa 2021-04-27T15:39:31Z

That was really fun! A bit rough around the edges but a nice complete little game considering the time limitations. Grapple hooks are usually very fun and this one did not disappoint!

Cat Sweeper by gnevesdev 2021-05-03T16:31:12Z

Great idea and cool take on the theme! I would have liked to be able to mark the spaces like minesweeper so that I could figure out where is safe because otherwise it's a case of trying to stick to the zeros, but I could see how this could be expanded with some more tools for players to get more feedback. A well made game, especially without a commercial engine. Well done!

Deep Finger by Sephy 2021-05-12T23:04:31Z

Really enjoyed the audio and the level design, made me laugh and the puzzles were good for such a simple core concept! Played through the whole thing and found it a really memorable experience! It's worth playing and rating some games yourself to make sure other games get some support as well :)

U Cave by RoueSoify 2021-04-27T22:12:55Z

Great work! I liked the physics interactions a lot, they were really fun. The parallax effect should definitely go the other way (background should be moving slower than the foreground) but I liked the way the cave background gave the scene a lot of depth. I'm impressed at the number of different interactions that you fit it, would have been good to add more, like a sand section or a bigger mining section. The graphics are charming and the minimalist pixel art makes it feel like a classic flash game which I liked. If you had more time it would be cool if the colours were a bit darker to help feel like a cave. The sound effects worked really well though and it had a kind of mysterious atmosphere. Overall I really liked this one, good job!

About Love by maskinmask 2018-04-28T10:07:55Z

It's great! One of my highest ratings so far! Beautiful graphics, and really good music. I don't think the high speed clicking worked as well with the chill/calm atmosphere but apart from that, I loved it!

Succulent Drive USA by uvwar 2018-05-02T21:34:27Z

Hello fellow desert drifting game! I'm jealous of your particle effects and wiggly plant! Some really nice atmospheric effects there

What is Love by been 2018-04-28T09:23:05Z

The sounds were really funny, you definitely should have replaced the main soundtrack with the title music haha! I enjoyed the dialog at the end too!

Knight Pants by unoion 2018-04-24T21:35:34Z

nice art! a little repetitive and not enough pants! but really cute, with great sounds

Roulette Knight by Finlal 2018-04-29T18:24:01Z

I love it! Was really hard but that didn't stop me from trying a few times. I loved the presentation and sound!

Mad King by agrdev 2018-04-24T21:50:32Z

Nice, it seems inspired by Reign which is cool! I felt like I ran out of options at the end and it was just random, which meant the difficulty was a bit frustrating but early on it was fun making difficult decisions!

Think Hockey by RilleP 2018-04-24T21:32:09Z

Great! Was a little tricky to understand at first but I ended up having loads of fun and the AI proved just challenging enough for the perfectly balanced experience. I pulled through right at the end and won 3-2!

threeSpace by HS_Dave 2018-04-24T20:18:12Z

Nice, you should definitely add more features to it! I enjoyed the sci fi feel!

CarD^2riving by Derek Brouwer 2018-04-24T22:08:32Z

I like the style here, it would be nice to have more maps and maybe include a time limit? Other than that, cool idea and a nice clear implementation! I'd definitely play this with multiplayer racing!

Type'n Run by souzanod 2018-04-24T19:58:45Z

Cool implementation! Could have had more of the defend/attack bits to add to variety. I really liked the music, reminded me of Spyro!

Overwhelming by Ziovoxxer 2018-04-29T11:50:58Z

I wasn't that impressed when I started but once I got to about level 3 or 4 it got a bit trickier and way more fun! Good job, I definitely would start it at a higher difficulty but I enjoyed the look and the simple goal!

Rogue Poker by Balint 2018-04-24T21:16:06Z

nice art! and it was really fun trying to actually beat it! Took me a few goes but I got the hang of it and showed that monster who's boss! Great implementation!

Tour de France Legstrong by Freebo 2018-04-24T21:59:49Z

Hard! I liked the mechanics of it, it felt tricky to balance the water bottle throwing and the driving in a good way :) The art style is cool too!
