Fun little game. It might have some longevity with more interesting maps and features. The controls needs some work unless the goal is to cramp up peoples fingers after 5 minutes.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD41 → Tour de France Legstrong

barely got halfway before my hand got tired, didn't have enough water bottles to really clear the zombies out as the waves got really big! the small resolution on the HTML5 version doesn't really compliment the graphics
Fuck, this game is fun!!! I specially enjoyed the pedalling mechanic and the particles dynamics. very fun to play! Good game design art and programming. Well executed! Congratulations. I does feel exhausting for the fingers like they were legs.
Haha! You guys nailed the theme! I really love the fact that while a zombie epidemic is going on, there are still some people training for Tour-De-France! Humor is real! Love it!
@raramalum I actually did cramp my left hand fingers. If we could rebind the keys, I would love to take another try! I love cycling game so I enjoyed it! Nice mood and lovely ending animation!
OMG a cycling game in 3D voxel art. I love it. Remind me of Crossy road. Having fun playing it. We also make a cinematic game with pixel art. Mind to check it out: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/daxua
Wow! took me a sec to start but it's really cool:) Would love if you guys checked out mine: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tower-race

my fingers :D really innovative look :) nice!
The keybindings are a little weird, but other than that very fun!
[Check my game out, too!](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/platscii)
like the idea never seen anything like it before i think it will get much bigger in the future, nice i like it
Haha love it, might have been nice to have some faster zombies that chase you. Good fun! Check out our game Mechasnek too! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mechasnek :)
@Lagman9000 Thanks for your comment. Getting chased by Zombies was actually part of the original idea, but it was dropped as we had to focus on finishing other parts of the game.
Nice little graphics. The screenshots surprised me a lot! This game is so fun, I'll definitely share it. Great work!
This was fun! I love the game over screen haha
Great little game! Controls feel novel and fun, and definitely keeping with the theme!
Hard! I liked the mechanics of it, it felt tricky to balance the water bottle throwing and the driving in a good way :) The art style is cool too!
looks good. the controls were odd at first, but they seemed to work pretty well in the end. Animations are pretty amazing and sounds made them even better. Good job.
The controls are innovative and fantastic, but it tends to turn into Hand Cramp Simulator 2018 after a while. Ow.
And the game is hilarious. Good job!
That was cool! :D I felt like the controls where a bit tough to get used to (switching between Hands VS just trying to move with my left hand instead of my right) but in the end that was somehow part of the game's charme. I love the artstyle and it actually feels really satisfying to drive through zombies, even though I am not supposed to do that <3
This is really great game! Pedaling mechanic is good and combining it with zombies is incredible idea. I really enjoyed this game, Love your work!
checkout my game if you want to https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/baseball-nightmare
Really fun game! I would really aprecciatte some paint on the ground defining lanes, a lot of times I hit zombies or didn't pick up the water bottle even if it looks like I did. Anyways, nice music and asthetics, I probably try to beat it later!
I really liked the game, although it could use a little bit more feedback, for example, having the bottle pick ups be more clear with any type of sound effects, also so more screen shake on driving through zombies. In the end I really liked it.
I was a bit confused on how the pedaling mechanic worked at first, but once I figured it out there was no stopping me. Fun game, nice work! I esspecially love the art.
Great fun and looks lovely. I love that small cutscene after failing
Good game man keep up the good work https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/boomball
my hand is really tired now lol had fun but maybe make the movement a bit easier on the player :P
Nice game. Loved art-style and gameplay
P.S. I think you can change game screen size on itch.io, so the screen is shown fully even not in fullscreen mode
Extremely funny, i rly enjoy it. I was playing it until my fingers get tired ahahahah. Nice game guys.
Really impresed <3
kind of hard to play single-handed, but really cool idea! Loved the death sequence with the sad music!
love that style and graphics great use of theme... can you build 32bit version i want to play it offline. i'll be happy if you play and rate my game too https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/minibattle
i loved the cinematic zoom out at the end man! Well done hahaha!!!
My fingers will propbably be integrated as zombies in this game now XD It's fun, simple, and the music is really cool :D
Great job ! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/turn-around
Really nice game. It would be great if HP and distance were showed. :)
@kovareka: Thanks for the comment and rating. We did infact include both these features in the game. For the web-version you need to play the game in fullscreen-mode in order to see them.
Great idea of mixing themes! I really enjoyed the mechanics of pedaling. Perfect! You did a great job. Take a look on my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/vector-rabbits-slayer
i have finger muscle now. Thx legstrong. now i am fingerstrong. great game!
Funny game there, but I have been limited by the fact you can't be reactive by go up and down while pushing the left right Arrow to go forward. It seams that my computer can't get that much of inputs and wait like three seconds to change direction, making it hard to play. But well, you've come with a good idea and at least, I enjoyed the end cinematic. Greeting from France !
Such a great little game. I had a lot of fun playing it. Giant props for winning and game over screens. You've managed to put tons of humor into this game with a minimal amount of words.
I loose the finger but i win the race! asdaef.png
If you want you can try my game on this link: [Scarry](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/scarry)
@Bad-idea : Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the turning needs some improvement, at least in the web version. If you try out the pc version hopefully it will run better for you. Allez France!
Funny game, a bit hard on my fingers but nice idea! I liked the graphic style, it made me smile :).
Really fresh idea (eventhough I am not sure if you can say this about Zombie game :)) Funny and fast paced. The only thing I was missing was some restart button after I fail (or did I miss something?). Great entry, good job ;)
One of the funniest games I've played so far, great work !
I don't really like games where you need tap keys as fast as you can - it's tiring and unnecessary - in here though it kinda make sense, it builds up tension while zombies chase you and game is not very long so you can play it once or twice before your hand falls off :) I finished game without using water bottles :)
PS. Nice touch with end cinematics - i really enjoy it :)
PS2. Check out our game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/educational-beat-em-up-punches-delivered-with-math
Ah, my fingers hurts, keyboard buttons A and D are broken, but it was fun. Some minor bugs, like when player die his progress picture change to black frame, but gameplay is solid and I really tried hard till I was able to reach finish line - took several restarts thought :( P.S. - not sure how you people do it but I was able to max my speed only to 19.2, don´t understand how someone can get 21 or more... are you with Flash? :D
Hah. While the controls felt a bit odd and it felt a bit wrong to use arrow keys+mouse, it was quite good. The idea of the game is funny and I liked the animation of the player frantically cycling. Though it felt like you couldn't really throw properly... water bottles just exploded right next to the player?
Hahah THAT ENDING!!! omg had me in stitches first time around. Good job on art + animations, ui could've been a bit polished, but its functional so can't complain!
This was so damn mashy. Awwww my hand hurts. The game is great fun, although the controls is damn heave for 2 arms, i needed my gf to throw bottles for me haha :D
Brings back memories(and hand cramps) from the C64 era. Well atleast you can change hand easily with arrows and wasd. Fun in the nostalgic way :bow_tone3:
It was a pain for both my finger ! Like to win, it so hard and ask so much stamina.... That was so much fun. Like, yeah it ask stamina : like a real one ! And the nescessity to dogde zombie, so to always stay alert is great ! Despite the fact I have to totally neglige the bottle throw to succeed, I really like the feeling of sucess at the end, and even the very common and sometime frustrating death were.... well, not that frustrating. The game over screen work really well, and see an army of stupid zombie go to our bodie with that music was actually... anti-frustating ! Like, I could just sit here for 1 entire minute just see it then go back try to beat that fucking game !
And even if I always tell myself that you could cut down by just 10% the lenght of the run, afterward, I ask myself if this wouldn't have decrease the intensity of the victory ? Well, I don't have the answer of this question
this Clearly is the best gameover scene of the jam x)Nice entry, well done. I finally finished the tour de France x)
This was a really fun game to play. Well done.
Ahhh my fingers!! The controls are pretty weird, but in a good way :P This was a really nice experience and a great concept. Would love to see some more features and levels. Some suggestions: hearts to pick up that increases health, different / more interesting levels and maybe some AI to compete against. You should consider making it a full game (maybe adopt to mobile).
Lol this is why lance armstrong lost a testicle!
Very fun and loved the lowpoly art. Congratulations!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
