Nearly shit myself when the door sound played. I liked the mood, but too bad the game got stuck in the room with three orbs.

Very nice game
I really like the mood and atmosphere of the game, and I can always appreciate the extra work that goes into making something 3D for a game jam. I will say that, even though I beat the whole game, I still don't exactly know how the puzzles work. I know it has something to do with looking at all the crystal balls, but I'm not sure what specifically triggers the doors to open. I just ran around looking at the crystal balls until the door opened, which seemed to work well enough. Perhaps some more audiovisual feedback could make the mechanics clearer. Still, I enjoyed my time with the game overall. Nice work!
I love the sound you made lol
I got a bit stuck, but Ive looked at all the blue balls
Nice atmosphere, simple concept that can be developped a bit further.
Nice Game!
The idea of seeing certain things to open a door is nice. Immediately turns the players attention towards exploration.
Got hopelessly stuck here though: Untitled.png
@poorwill hiya, thanks for the feedback The idea for this puzzle and from there and onwards is to line up the balls when looking at them. Sorry for not making it clear enough.
@al-is-kinda-cute Ooooh, the previous puzzle did teach this mechanic but I kind of fumbled through it without learning. I guess perhaps like a different color of ball would have made me more aware of an added puzzle mechanic. 🙆🏼♂️
The atmosphere was nice but I couldn't really tell if I was doing anything right, I just looked at the balls and stuff happened until it stopped and I got stuck :\ The camera movement and models were great, I just think some feedback to tell me why things were happening would've helped tons
Hey! I loved the atmosphere of this game. I think this is one of the few I tried that really conveys a sensation of going deeper and deeper. I appreciated the effort of going 3D. I didn't understand the mechanics of the game though, and I got stuck. By reading here it seems that one had to line up the balls visually. Perhaps a visual feedback when you did that and/or when you were close to doing that could have helped in communicating the main mechanics. Also, the fact that the first doors open very easily just by wandering around makes it so that one can progress without you designers making sure that they understood the mechanic. Anyways, for a 3 days gems I think it's a great result overall! Especially given that it was your first!
Oh guys, it would be really great with more feedbacks! Like a glowing material with a "woosh" SFX on the orbs. The puzzles weren't understandable enough. Like, I finished the game and I really don't know how x) I just aligned myself to the final door and the orb in front of it and I don't know why she opened.
P.S.: the SFX of the door opening is perfect :ok_hand:
Congratulations for finishing your first game job, good job! The Unreal Engine really did the trick here, the lightning looked amazing and I actually felt like I was exploring a deep in a desert ruin. The puzzle was little bit unclear, I just randomly ran around and the doors opened. But at least I won the game, yay! Enjoyed this game, I hope I will see you guys in the next jam!
Cool game! I had fun!
I think I got the general idea of how the puzzles worked, but there could've been some help for solving them and feedback for the orbs. Though, I guess knowing nothing about the unknown temple sets the right mood! I would've loved some music or atmospheric ambient sounds. But even without them the mood was great.
Enjoyable. Great job for your first Ludum Dare!
I was able to complete the game, but to be honest, I myself did not understand how I did it. I just shone on the blue balls and something opened up. The sound of the doors is frightening. Overall, not bad.
The game definitely misses some feedback for the player to understand what's even happening. I managed to finish it by chance. I do understand that it's about looking at the blue balls. But, especially in the last room, not getting a feedback on if I got the order right (I assume it had to be in a certain order) was not so great.
Regardless. It's a very solid first entry!
Really like the idea, and could make for a great puzzler. Kinda reminds me of some Zelda dungeons, but it could do with some better feedback to let the player know they have to look at multiple lights, maybe a laser or they light up or something. Really nice work though!
The idea is overall pretty good, and I had fun playing the game. The game could have used a better introduction to the game mechanic. But overall a pretty good first LD game. Well done.
Very good game, maybe there can be some changes happen when the player sees the blue ball, such as turning red.
I like the mood, and i'd say the difficulty progresses pretty smoothly across each room. The mechanic eluded me for a few rooms as I would simply stumble into the solutions, but the obstacles in later rooms help to show whats actually happening
Line up mechanic is very unique but it's also unclear. Good game tho
Pretty good game. Nice graphics!
