Incredible ambiance . The graphics , audio and theme of the game are in total sync and work like hell . Was a bit frustrated by some collision (got gliched out of the map) , by the 10s between radar that seem just a bit too much (but not your decision xD ) and by the fact that I got confused several time over wether or not I explored enought my room . Did not see the end because was stuck for too loog at finding all the batterie . Great Game :) (hope my comment is not rude or anything , first time participating and english is not my maternal language)

This is a really incredible entry, the aesthetic of the game is so nice with the art, sound and animations all working in harmony. It's such a clever but simple concept and executed to perfection, astounding job :)
@ginahe Thank you for the great review! Now I thinking maybe we hid the batteries too well :) I'll look into the issue with the collisions, thank you for pointing this out.
@jaybaus Thank you! We really glad you liked it!
This is really something! The visuals of this game are incredible, and the sound design is spot on as well! I really enjoyed this one, amazing work!
I'm not even going to ask how you made this. Real impressive stuff.

very cool game! the idea is awesome. I only given up searching for the batteries because I've lost myself too many times, when I found an entrance to a new room I was too excited and probably left the batteries behind XD
That's an awesome idea you had here. Love the concept, and the way you made it into the game. I really enjoyed the graphics. They felt very nice and polished. The sonar sound could have a little more impact, I think, but it's pretty good as it is. I feel that the controls are a little difficult, but it's ok.
My main issue is that, just like @ginahe i wasn't able to find all the batteries.
You made a very nice jam game, congratulations!
Lidar mechanics is awesome! However it is pretty easy to get lost, so I guess room entrances should be bigger
Thanks for reviews @ziobob @chocolat-endive! We will think about the batteries and how to make searching for them easier. I guess we got into the classic trap "If we can find them players can too", despite the fact we're the ones who placed them :)
Great adaptation of the theme! The music agrees well with the tempo and visuals, the combination has created a calming atmosphere. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the third battery. I felt like a knew the level by heart but could not find anything. I appreciate the effort made with the yellow highlighted doors/entries, but I would have needed more help. Perhaps you could add a few extra yellow dots to indicate where we're supposed to be going? Or maybe a sound that originates at the battery site.
Did you really add three batteries? At this point, I feel like you removed it as a not so funny joke!
I understand that you do not want to spoil anything for the other players, but if you remember me in a few days I would appreciate a hint so that I can finish the game!
@landberglife I promise all three batteries are in the game . ~~But also i clearly see the problem with finding the last one, so i think it will be fair to do things this way: Now in the downloads section we have Waves_Easy_Mode_Windows.zip the same game, but one of the batteries is moved to the new, more obvious place(I hope i moved correct battery if you had problems with another one it would be really awkward).~~ That way, hopefully you can finish the game, and if someone wants to show how it's done to all this casuals above, you can try yourself in the standard Waves release.
@riptidestudio You moved the one I already picked up! But don't sweat it, I found the last one. I_did_it.PNG
Super cool way too visualize the world, even though the environment was quite simple it still felt wast and complicated with the restrictions to sight. The only real gripe I had was that the camera did not go far enough up and down, making it difficult to navigate some sections. Great stuff! A review made with  especially for you!
@landberglife Hahaha, Good job! I think you're the first who managed to finish the game! *And just like that, the easy mode was gone*
Very nice, atmospheric game. I really like to traverse the word with a completely different perception. It's quite hard to navigate and the controls to go up and down are a bit awkward, but the music, the mood, and the innovation of the concept makes up for it.
I adore visuals and sound. The game is a superb experience. Great job.
wow this game was absolutely breathtaking! the moment when you are in complete darkness and then turns out that is a giant door in front of you.. just wow!
I love the style of this game. What a really fun experience.

Remember how Super Hot was born as a game jam submission and went on to become a huge unique thing? I'm getting strong vibes of Super Hot success from this entry. It's incredible. Add some nice control scheme to it with a gamepad support, and I'll be lost for hours and hours. Also, give me a full VR version. Where do I put my money?

OOhhh, I like the artstyle here and sounds! Really unique game here.
Every aspect of this game is super-good. Music, ambience, gameplay and 10sec concept implemented incredibly good

Very good entry, the idea is phenomenal and if it had more mechanics and a better tutorial I'd have played longer than 5 minutes. Thanks for the interesting idea.
Great job! A really beautiful, interesting game that with an incredible ambience and atmosphere, although I found it a bit challenging to know exactly where I was and where to go at times.
Programming that LIDAR feel for exploration must've been fun. Nice job!
congratulations on the single best use of radar/sonar as a mechanic that I've played in the jam so far (and this is coming from a team who's game used radar/sonar as a mechanic). That being said, the controls could use some work, and I wish that getting all three batteries would turn the power back on to where you could explore the ship without the radar view.
Really nice and somber experience and a very nice work on the level design. I felt lost a bunch of times, but I felt that this was intentional. There were some nice contextual clues on what could possibly be an exit, which I appreciated a lot. Really cool job, well done!

What an amazing experience! My only complaint is that I wanted more story!! I want to know what happened here and what will the lil robot do after the batteries are found?! You didn't just LEAVE them there did you?! D: (Seriously, love the game! I hope you guys expand on this!!)

@harry-alissavakis you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found
waves.png wow Minimalistic gameplay + great spooky music is great combination here. Really happy that i stumbled upon your subbmision! Thanks :)

So atmospheric that I felt almost physical discomfort from it. Even though I am not claustrophobic.
My biggest problem was the third key. I found one in the big room, second in the room behind the vent shaft. And spent too much time looking for what I missed. Imagine my surprise when I found the "final" key, heheh.
Very impressive. Thanks.
Wow this game is maybe one of the best looking Ludum games I've ever played, this is genuinely a very impressive art style and it works perfectly with the theme, the atmosphere is fantastic. At the start I found it very disorientating but it was surprising how quickly you get used to the very unique way of exploring the world.

Thanks to all of you for the feedback! It's really a pleasure to read all of your comments!
Absolutely love the atmosphere here! The music in combination with the visual style works wonders- it's all at once calming and somewhat haunting. I found myself getting lost more than a few times (my sense of direction is not great), but persisted and really, really enjoyed the experience. It's a simple idea, but done very well. Really great work!
Loved the idea, look and feel of this. I particularly like the minimalistic aesthetics. Unfortunately I got a bit too disorientated and could only find one of the batteries in my first playthrough, but I'll give it another go later. This fits the theme really well too, however I think perhaps it'd be cool if there was something more to do after the light go down, because I mostly found myself playing only after the room lights up and waiting when it gets dark. Overall - great work!
wow this game looks AWESOME!!! everything from the art to the sound design is great! at first i was a bit lost and didn't know what to do, but damn, this atmosphere!!! Excellent work! (only issue for me was the camera look was a bit too sensitive)
Great idea, could be expanded into a full fledged game, damn, I'm jealous.

Great job , by the way ; this is what I call an immersive experience ;-) The controls felt a bit awkward, that's too bad because the exploration part is really cool.
This is one of my favorite jam games I've ever played. The atmosphere was fantastic, a somewhat spooky, dark environment with nothing but you in your ship. The game itself is extremely polished, controls were fine for me, took a bit of getting used to but overall it felt good to move around. The visuals were top notch. It did take me awhile to search around for the batteries, but having important things be yellow definitely helped. Great job everyone who worked on this game!!

Really loved the audio and graphics for this game. The enviroment was amazing and as said above, it did have a creepy vibe to it, which was cool. Great job!
Nice game! The graphics were really good, and I loved the music. I like the effect you had with the red dots every time run into something. Can't think of anything to suggest. Well done!

Hey, I checked this out on my stream! [Here's a link to the VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1619345236?t=3h02m00s) if you're interested :)
got lost after finding a couple of parts sadly, but the atmosphere is really cool!
Cool game! Please, tell more about technology and rendering.

Wow. I've no idea how you did that but kudos to whoever programmed it to render like that :D Amazing game, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this little gem. Great work!
Amazingly cool visuals. Love the sound effects too. They really set the mood. I wish the controls were better laid out. Having up and down be space and ctrl was awkward to use. I wish the ping was more then every 10 seconds but then that would go against the theme. Maybe a small ping on the 5 seconds between the big 10 second pings. I love the red collision dots when you bump into walls. A really impressive amount of work went into this. I would love to see this expanded with more mechanics. Fantastic job!

@paul-avallone Thank you for the detailed review! I'm happy you liked our game! The 10 seconds boundary, yes, it was done solely to fit the jam theme  if we continue development, most likely we'll give a player ability to scan when they want, with another limitation system(Maybe some kind of charging system, we're still thinking about it). About controls layout, maybe you have some ideas how I can improve it? I just layed out controls as was intuitive for me (I get used to have ``ctrl`` as crouch/down, and ``space`` as jump/up) which was not the best decision, as many comments pointed out.

@andrewrain @ehon @paul-avallone I'm thinking about writing a post about what I did to create this effect, I'll send you a link if I manage to write it. For now, in short: It can be a little bit disappointing for you, but there is nothing fancy going on, i just have a pool of dots, and i put them in right positions using raycasts i throw in all directions around the player, by utilizing [Spherical Fibonacci Lattice](https://observablehq.com/@mbostock/spherical-fibonacci-lattice), i thought about rewriting it as lighting shader, but this basic solution was working well enough for the jam, so we just decided to leave it as it is.
Technically, the game is really good. I love the mood and graphics. Controls are a bit rough sometimes and I got some FPS drops while playing. The idea is cool and reminds me of Scanner Sombre.
Although the theme is respected, I found that 10 seconds is too much time to wait between to scans, and let the player wait until the next one. Maybe the fade out of points should be delayed, this way the player can follow already scans paths without hurting every walls.
Great jobs though
