Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:05:00Z

@JoeDev Thanks for playing! There isn't health for the player, you just lose some coins when you get hit. We were considering having health along with checkpoints but ran out of time. Kind of glad we went this way in the end because some of the enemies are kind of impossible to dodge (talking about you bats lol)

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:05:57Z

@ehtd Thanks for playing! And yeah those bats go ZOOM haha, thanks for the feedback

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:09:11Z

@jeremia Thanks for playing and for your feedback! We considered having a tiny bit of global lighting but decided to just have a torch. If we were to work on this in the future, we might put some global lighting, and maybe even a flashlight or something. Also probably move the camera a bit forward like someone else suggested.

Also yeah the menu music was kinda last minute and I agree it's too loud.

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:10:20Z

@bmacintosh Thanks for playing and your feedback! I like the idea of moving the camera in front of the player, I might try that out in other projects in the future.

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:11:10Z

@noam-zeise Yeah if I were to do this again I would probably spend more time fine-tuning the enemies. They're one of the rougher parts for sure. Thank you for your feedback and for playing!!

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:12:15Z

@david-horning Bats go brrr. Thanks for playing! (And yeah enemy balance is 100% something I'm gonna work on improving for future games)

Treasure Hunter by WoodmanCodes 2021-05-01T19:14:51Z

@pythooonuser Thanks for playing  glad you enjoyed!

@michaelyount And thank you for playing!!

Capsule Fall by Jeremia 2021-04-26T18:37:12Z

Not bad overall! I like when people use the terminal in creative ways, and this is definitely one of them! Game has a pretty good pace to it I'd say.

The Deepest Dungeon by Susumu Asaga 2021-04-28T02:52:48Z

Love the graphics! I like clicker games and yours is pretty good! I tried on my phone and it didn't scale quite right but it still worked. Pretty impressive for this short of a time frame!

Maze Of The Minotaur by PythooonUser 2021-04-26T21:46:20Z

I liked this game! 4min 29seconds to finish. I really liked the background audio, one of the best parts. This concept could easily be expanded by adding more mazes as the player falls deeper and deeper, and adding sound effects for levers and such.

Vinewell by dpmzi 2021-04-26T18:47:15Z

Downwell with a rope! I like it! Difficulty could use some balancing, with it starting out easier in the beginning and getting more difficult as you go on. Also the player felt a bit floaty.

Definitely like the black and white visuals, they're super clean.

Falling Rock by David Horning 2021-04-26T18:25:47Z

I like the idea! The 2 color palette and simpler visuals worked well. Fun idea overall! (Not to sound like a broken record but definitely wish there was sound)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

MAGICAL JUGGLER EXTRAORDINAIRE by benskca 2022-04-05T22:20:52Z

Had a bunch of fun with this game! Very polished, especially for a compo game so great job! Love the different power-ups and stuff.

Light Keeper by SideUpDown 2022-04-06T02:20:47Z

Overall not bad! The graphics and sound are pretty polished so kudos on that. The gameplay is a bit on the weaker side, technically I could survive forever by just walking with the campfire in circles, so maybe give more incentive to use the shooting mechanic. For a bonus if you were to expand upon the game, maybe more types of enemies and maybe having them come in waves like a TD game, or at the very least have things ramp up more slowly.

Fresh From The Oven by KobaHawk 2022-04-05T00:11:31Z

I laughed out loud in the beginning and I like the concept, just wish the game was taken a *little* further. By that I mean the gameplay is very standard and could've used another element or 2 to keep me more engaged. The graphics are really good with the models, super simple menu/UI, and steam coming from the pie so good job there.

The Adventure of a Lifetime by JamPaktGames 2022-04-05T00:32:30Z

Overall an OK experience. Like the creative kid-like art style, and the tutorials being drawn in seamlessly was a great touch. (One note I did notice the one sticky note had A on top instead of W lol. Minor mistake no big deal for a jam game just wanted to point it out.)

Untitled.png

Bird section was pretty hard but only took a few tries (though definitely could use some balancing to keep the story moving). Not a fan of the jump in the first platforming section but it wasn't bad, reminded me of Inside/Limbo with the light puzzles. Music was great, especially the end song and the heart monitor sound syncing with the music. Good concept overall.

Time Dash by Agyrzstar 2022-04-05T00:54:03Z

Overall not bad. Very clean asthetic. Feel like there could have been more enemies, and some music would be a nice touch (though I know music is super hard to fit in a jam so that's fine).

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

HAZCAT - Toxic Feline by johnnysix 2022-10-06T23:17:08Z

Pretty good game overall! Love the character and animation, and the controls feel really good (which is hard to pull off in a jam so kudos). Could use some more sound effects for things jump/wall jump, but overall very solid. Last thing, it's a bit too much screen shake for my liking lol maybe turn that down a lot.

NIMBOSTRATUS by huskitch 2022-10-08T19:21:53Z

Graphics wise I really like the game! The concept is good but could use some more in-game tutorials and whatnot to get me used to the game play first (hard to do in a jam but at least the video was there to assist). Could use some more audio like for the eyes so I don't jump out of my chair after turning around for a second and see a giant eye 2 feet from me lol.

Just fly around shoot rocket i guess by dimaswift 2022-10-08T02:40:12Z

Honestly the title of this post was funny so I tried the game. It's pretty good! I like the ultra detailed explosions with the simple models. One suggestion I'd have is making the background not just a solid color, put something there so I can see how fast I'm going when I'm far away from the ground. Otherwise not bad!

Clock Caper by Ryan Dotsikas 2022-10-04T22:31:42Z

This is amazing! I can't believe this is a jam game, has incredible art and a really unique idea that is very well executed. If I had to nitpick one thing is that the jump is a bit floaty, but other than that, very solid game.

Maze Runner by mimusangel 2022-10-06T22:57:28Z

Good controls and good game idea! Also liked the graphics, clean and simple. Though the portal placement could use some work, felt really hard to get to even with the dash. Maybe a difficulty curve would be nice in an updated version, start easy and get more difficult. High score 11001

10s Puzzle Dash by WoodmanCodes 2022-10-02T21:54:39Z

@lukas0842 Thanks for playing! Yeah it was intentional that you can't walk diagonally. Will keep that in mind if I expand the game.

Waves by RiptideStudio 2022-10-08T02:24:27Z

This is one of my favorite jam games I've ever played. The atmosphere was fantastic, a somewhat spooky, dark environment with nothing but you in your ship. The game itself is extremely polished, controls were fine for me, took a bit of getting used to but overall it felt good to move around. The visuals were top notch. It did take me awhile to search around for the batteries, but having important things be yellow definitely helped. Great job everyone who worked on this game!!

SquareMan by Flying Dog Fish 2022-10-08T02:34:35Z

I like the sound effects of the box.

Curse of the Wereburger by Brainloaf Studio 2022-10-08T03:51:21Z

Incredible game and very polished! Could barely tell it's a jam game! The art and audio are incredible and complement each other wonderfully. I even liked the story, it's funny and simple, which is perfect for a game jam. The puzzles were very well designed and had a good difficulty curve. Was a bit confused sometimes on when enemies would do damage, seemed a bit inconsistent. And while the animations were very good, they were a bit slow at times, and sometimes when I would retrace my steps quickly the animations had a hard time keeping up. Other than those, no complaints really, very solid game!

Untitled Cat Game by edgeboyo 2022-10-08T01:46:13Z

Very interesting concept. Love all the unique abilities the animals have and the little animations and so forth. More feedback for the player like glowing red slightly every time you or an enemy gets hit would be good. Moving felt a little awkward with the camera angle. With some polish this could be a really fun game! Especially co-op and with a controller.

Quick Charge by Soul Grinder 2022-10-05T01:04:20Z

Things I liked: - Decently tight controls. - The art, pretty clean and had a nice classic aesthetic. I like the look of the robot and tileset. Everything fits together pretty nicely. - Overall use of the theme, had a good and simple idea that was pretty well executed.

Suggestions: - Have a visual indicator on the robot itself for the battery life. Maybe that circle in the middle can go from green to red as the battery life drains. - Sound indicator for when you're charging. There is a visual one with the electricity around the bot which is good. - Remove the life system if you want to have the levels be more difficult like they are. Just having to go all the way to the start of a level feels like a pretty good setback for failing. If you wanted collectables maybe they could be small batteries or something that give +1 charge or something. - Maybe a smaller distance between charging stations, at least in the beginning like others mentioned it's pretty difficult to get to the stations.

Line Momentum by Itooh 2022-10-03T21:11:01Z

Not bad, but also pretty difficult! Kinda wish the level didn't restart all the way when I failed but other than that it's not a bad concept. Music was pretty good and I liked how it built up more and more as I progressed.

PolyGone by LabToast 2022-10-08T19:28:33Z

Neat game! I like the concept of losing an ability rather than gaining one every 10 seconds. Makes me more likely to go fast which is fun, and I liked how you creatively used the different abilities to increase the types of movement. Overall good job!

10-sec pause mania by Stingby12 2022-10-12T22:52:36Z

Nice game! Got stuck around the 6th level but really this is a pretty good game. Clever and simple puzzles, simple graphics, and and overall pretty polished experience.

The Box by Lukas0842 2022-10-02T22:22:31Z

Really creative idea! Felt satisfying to solve the puzzles, even if I stumbled into a solution or 2 haha. I beat every one, would love to see more in the future!

Jump in the line by resacaGames 2022-10-06T23:03:27Z

Like most comments, couldn't really find the theme but the graphics and music were a nice fit! Flying really fast is satisfying

Dimension Rush by LunariiSXZ 2022-10-08T17:41:16Z

Great job! The controls felt pretty good and the theme was well thought out. Art style was nice and simple and the background color changing mechanic was cool for when abilities changed. One thing, the spike hitboxes are too big, probably want to shrink those a lot. All the gimmicks/mechanics were very polished, I didn't personally love the slippy/ice one for when there were lots of small jumps in a row but that's part of the challenge. But yeah overall great job!

Speedrun for light by _mK_ 2022-10-06T23:57:29Z

Really polished platformer, job well done! Controls feel great, art is fantastic, sounds are good. My only complaint is that there's no checkpoints. Other than that, fantastic job!
