idea about charging is nice, but i've faced some issues i guess. it seemed like double jump was happening some times + the fact that music restarts each time you die (which with 10 seconds charge will happen a lot :)). so maybe make the song loop and not be interrupted by restart. also for the main game maybe use the song from the menu screen - personally i liked it more :)

Very well done, the idea matches the theme well. I was very impressed you made multiple levels and the music and tileset was different for each level. I made it half-way through level 2, I think it's beatable but it seems very difficult to make it from charging station to charging station, basically I was just making it with a fraction of a second to spare. My only complaint is getting hung up on the terrain when jumping.

@disperse Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. Yes it's a tricky game and the timing is tight, I've play tested it from the beginning each time all the way through a few times to make sure it's possible, so it is definitely beatable it's just very unforgiving lol

Things I liked: - Decently tight controls. - The art, pretty clean and had a nice classic aesthetic. I like the look of the robot and tileset. Everything fits together pretty nicely. - Overall use of the theme, had a good and simple idea that was pretty well executed.

Suggestions: - Have a visual indicator on the robot itself for the battery life. Maybe that circle in the middle can go from green to red as the battery life drains. - Sound indicator for when you're charging. There is a visual one with the electricity around the bot which is good. - Remove the life system if you want to have the levels be more difficult like they are. Just having to go all the way to the start of a level feels like a pretty good setback for failing. If you wanted collectables maybe they could be small batteries or something that give +1 charge or something. - Maybe a smaller distance between charging stations, at least in the beginning like others mentioned it's pretty difficult to get to the stations.

Really nice and well polished game. It's quite difficult though, there isn't any room for errors, missing a single jump at the wrong time basically means you have to restart from the beginning of the level, which can be a bit frustrating.

This game plays fairly well. I felt like I wanted a dash/sprint while I was playing. Also including support for movement with a and d would be nice. I know it is a jam and that's just a personal preference. Gameplay was good but the timing was really hard to get. Having another level or two with some easier timing would have been nice. It definitely did not help when I got to level two and did not know which way the charger was. I had to guess which made that death feel unfair. Balance is definitely hard to do in a jam so I completely understand. The art was good and the music was good. Others have pointed out issues with looping and a few spots that sound effects felt necessary but were not present. Overall a good entry with some balance issues.
