Great game!

phealsout 2021-04-26 19:34

This looks so sexy

trabitboy 2021-04-26 19:38

The look and audio work well, a run button would be a must when searching and backtracking.

phealsout 2021-04-26 19:39

@trabitboy The run button is shift lol

iman 2021-04-26 19:39

Nice maze game, the low poly art was pleasant and the voice acting was quite good! The whistling was creeping me out a bit for some reason, even though it sounded just like birdsong. It was quite esoteric somehow. Reached the end in 4:51, but I was struggling to click on the levers a lot, so I may have been a bit faster than that.

The maze was good, and the voice acting and whistling really made it for me.

hilkojj 2021-04-26 19:40

The voice-over was a very nice addition!

The web version has a small bug where the (invisible) cursor for clicking the levers is not in the middle of the screen. But I have seen that bug before in another unity web game.

phealsout 2021-04-26 19:40

I absolutely love this soundtrack you made hahahaha

phealsout 2021-04-26 19:41

Hihi nevermind I cant read

pythooonuser 2021-04-26 19:46

@phealsout @trabitboy Yes, indeed, the left shift button can be used for sprinting. I can make it more clear in the description! Thanks :)

pythooonuser 2021-04-26 19:48

@iman Sorry to hear that the whistling is creeping you out! We tried to make it only subtle, maybe it turned out too loud :)

thesand 2021-04-26 19:49

My time was 03:22 :) Everyting was just like a a ludum dare game should be small, fun, and an experience. I agree what @iman said. The levers hitboxes where a bit hard to find but the rest was great! (For one second I tought the whistling was something/someone that was following me, even tho they sound just like birds)

pythooonuser 2021-04-26 19:49

@hilkojj Thanks, yes, Unity does not nicely behave with WebGL when performing raycasts. It's unfortunately nothing I can change :(

pythooonuser 2021-04-26 19:51

@thesand Great time! Yes, the WebGL build is not the best version, unfortunately :( It's not a horror game :)

iovorobiev 2021-04-26 19:52

Love the birds chirping sound and all the sounds actually :) Graphics is nice and the game is challenging. Finished in 8 minutes!

bereg 2021-04-26 21:22

Nice entry. Love the soundscape, ha-ha. The puzzles are interesting, yet a bit repetitive. It would be great to get some sort of feedback when pushing the lever, like the sound of opening gates. Overall I enjoyed playing it, thank you!

woodmancodes 2021-04-26 21:46

I liked this game! 4min 29seconds to finish. I really liked the background audio, one of the best parts. This concept could easily be expanded by adding more mazes as the player falls deeper and deeper, and adding sound effects for levers and such.

treslapin 2021-04-27 09:05

I love games with voice over!!! As soon as this game started I was smiling  I had a really nice walk around the garden, found the horns and the mood totally changed :joy: Really nice experience, I had a blast. Good job!

dorkulon 2021-04-27 09:07

Hello, fellow Minotaur game! This was super charming. I loved the voice over and whistled sound effects.

eugenik 2021-04-27 15:51

Loved the story and humor, great job to all!.

larsdu 2021-04-28 04:02

I opened all the gates, got to the green one, then got lost?

jcmonkey 2021-04-28 04:35

i would expand the colliders on the triggers so you dont have to be right on top of the lever

lrl64 2021-04-28 04:38

This was really cool. The different coloured gates and switches was a really well designed mechanic and introduced beautifully that made it so intuitive to play. Awesome stuff.

pythooonuser 2021-04-28 05:39

@larsdu The key is that you need to trigger some of the gates multiple times. When one gate closes, maybe another one opens?

pythooonuser 2021-04-28 05:43

@jcmonkey The colliders are placed along the lever. On the WebGL build the raycasting is off a bit, so the colliders are - somewhere?^^

humphreysmedia 2021-04-28 09:34

I loved this game, I'm a sucker for low poly aesthetics and this was stunning, especially the horns at the end! Despite finishing this game quite quickly, I had a wonderful time getting lost and figuring out the maze! The only thing I would suggest would be adding subtitles as the monster's voice was a little difficult to understand.

Just a side note, I played 'Feed the Slime' last year and you've been nailing it with each event!

exewin 2021-04-28 11:55

Really nice looking game, but these lever hitboxes can lead to insanity.

ellladee 2021-04-28 13:32

Ah, love the voice <3 And love the maze and puzzles. Maybe the mouse is too sensitive, but it's okay. Good job!

mdotedot 2021-04-28 18:49

What a nice bird sounds you made. Like the double function of the color switches. Nice atmosphere. Job well done.

fpirritano 2021-04-28 18:52

great art and idea ! So cool to have a voice acting in game made during a jam, really immersive !

damagefilter 2021-04-28 18:52

I must say. The sound effects and voice - amazing. I hear what you did there! The lever hit boxes could use a but of adjusting. It was a lot of searching for right not spots that took away from the flow of the game.

I'm not good with mazes but it felt like the pacing was good. To me anyway. :D

twistedhawk 2021-04-28 18:53

This is a fun puzzle game! It looks great, controls smoothly, and takes some challenge to figure out how to do the levers in the right order. Nice work!

pythooonuser 2021-04-28 18:57

@damagefilter Yeah, I know. Unity has problems with WebGL in that regards. Glad you enjoyed it :)

kristof 2021-04-28 18:59

Great voice acting :D I also loved the low poly look. I got lost a few times but made it to the end. The only minor complaint is that the levers were sometimes difficult to select with the mouse.

marcari 2021-04-28 18:59

I love the low poly look and I'm a big fan of self-made sound effects. The WebGL version's hitboxes are a bit hard too find, but as you already mentioned that seems to be an engine issue and I have still been able to finish the game. Nice job!

saussol 2021-04-28 19:03

I loved this game !!

cubanfrog 2021-04-28 19:06

This is a fun idea with very strong visuals! The maze puzzle was executed quite well, as it wasn't too hard, while still requiring actual thought at parts. The art style was phenomenal and I really liked the general colour palette of the game. The voice acting really brought character to the game. My only real complaint is that the background voice effects were a bit loud and occurred a little too often, making the soundscape at times a bit distracting. Good work on the project!

pythooonuser 2021-04-28 20:04

@humphreysmedia It's so cool that you mention Feed The Slime. Thanks so much :D

globulous 2021-04-28 20:22

Great game, but the web version made some bugs, the lever and horn collider are glitchy and the mouse sensitivity. good work in a jam =p

rubenwardy 2021-04-28 21:16

I liked it. The place where you toggle levers was offset by a bit, which made them hard to flick (Linux, WebGL). I liked the wall mesh, and decent voice acting is good to see

metapoua 2021-04-28 22:37

This silence and just birds made me feel spooky as some beast would jump on me when I turn across any corner. This remember me an old labyrinth game I played younger (but can't remeber the name ), fun time. Also nice graphics and pretty well designed puzzle, and well done for the voice !

Just the levers hitboxes are really approximative but many people already said that. Great work anyway !

marcoming 2021-04-29 20:53

Very good game, the only issue I had was related to interacting with the lever, for some reason it didn't work well for me. A part from that I really enjoyed the game, great work!

doctortm 2021-04-29 22:19

Really nice jam! Nice art, and audios. Voice acting was great as well.

Had an issue with the mouse. You should've locked the mouse in the middle of the screen. My cursor kept sliding to the second monitor.

lrvstudios 2021-04-30 03:37

I love games that take me back to my childhood haha.

Yes, I'm a little nostalgic, but the atmosphere reminds me of a game that I really like.

The balance between the character's voice and the whistle is perfect - cool touch, by the way.

I feel excited just thinking about how the game is going to get "deeper" and what kind of things are you thinking of doing. Great work!

szkocka 2021-04-30 19:55

Voice acting? Sign me in! BIRD voide acting. That`s some next level stuff! WIND VOICE ACTING?! Dear God. I would say the experience is sadly short, but there is quality in this creation

2021-05-01 22:02

Nice art and atmosphere overall, and nice voice acting too :). I'd like to suggest that instead of using the mouse for the levers (leading to the collision issues some people mention), F or E or something like that would be more standard for Interact

skvader-418 2021-05-02 20:02

The puzzle element was really neat, the humor and graphics are also amazing

xmagpie42 2021-05-03 05:48

I really like the art style and the puzzles where great.
