Good idea with the light cone, gets across the feeling of being down deep. Unfortunately I always ran out of oxygen and couldn't figure out how to refill.
I really liked the mood of this game and everything felt so relaxing and calm about it! A bug I encountered was that when i went to far right at the surface the submarine just flopped to the ground and couldn't move and I drowned. Overall a very nice game! :))
Not a bad game but collecting coins kind of feel useless. Maybe if we could buy things with gold (extra heart, oxygen etc.) it could be great. Love the mechanics
@streetgeek thank you for playing ^^ I will consider rebalancing the pace of the game
the graphics and audio tie in amazingly to contribute to a really nice mood! the gameplay itself however felt really slow and sluggy :/ but i'm sure it'd have picked up pace if i could spend more time on it! really cute game :D
It has really nice graphics your game, I do appreciate the small details you put into it! I did like being already really deep
@incal Thank you, you refill oxygen by swimming to the air. Also you can upgrade it in the shop.
Good job making this game but i still dont know how to get that deep with only 30 oxygen, i think i dumb, but still GJ!
This is a good idea! Why not polish it after the jam for a small release?
The game feels good and has good graphics, the main system was good too... Nice Job
@kudneus @krebzor @saranbaran Thank you all for playing my game, I see now, that I should have made things more clear in the tutorial maybe ^^' there is a shop left of the starting position where you can spend your money on upgrading your oxygen tanks / speed ^^
@giordas Thank you for playing my game and telling me about the bug ^^ I'll try fixing it
@ty_ Thank you for playing my game, I will look into it ^^
The game was fun. I however suddenly lost control, and I could not move by submarine. It was fun either way, this game is pretty cool. The only thing I did not like, it how fidgity the movement is sometimes. I found myself colliding into things a lot.
@mauriciomunky Thank you :) I will consider doing that ^^
@devga-me thank you :)
Nice way to handle light and visibility distance as you go deeper. good graphics. I couln't figure how to refill oxygen. Great game overall !
EDIT: ok i found out reading comments so i edit a bit :)
The struggle is real when you see treasures and are weighting your options between refill o2 or go and get more treasure XD. The shop isn't super obvious. I think that the sub should rotate faster when you buy the engine upgrade, as going faster increase your turning circle.
@thewhiterice Thank you :) I will look into it
A calm yet stressfull experience, would have loved an handling upgrade to tighten those square room turns, very good overall!
@pepnou Thank you for playing the game :) You refill oxygen by swimming to the air. You can also upgrade it by speaking to the fisher left of the starting position.
Pretty cool game, took me two times to die before figuring out I could buy upgrades at the fisherman though. For the rest it's a fun game!
@rongefilet Thank you :) That's a really good idea! I will think about it and probably add if I make a post-jam version.
@goldenevolution Thank you for playing the game :) I see, that most people didn't find the fisherman ^^' I will try to improve it ^^
This kept me playing for a while! I loved the lighting effects, and the oxygen depleting really made me feel claustrophic, so well done! The controls were a little annoyingly slow at times; it would be nice to maybe make the acceleration a little faster. I didn't realise that the yellow triangles were coins to start with - I thought they were decorative piles of sand! Their hitboxes are a little small in my opinion (same with the diamonds) which makes them quite annoying to pick up (especially with the slow acceleration). Also I did encounter a small bug where I left the water with too much momentum on the far end of the screen, and somehow ended up floating quite high in the sky, with my oxygen counter falling! Eventually respawned back at the starting location.
But overall, good job, it plays well!
@cjol Thank you so much for playing it and for this great feedback ^^ I am happy you enjoyed playing the game. I will consider hwo to adjust the controls to make them a little faster and more responsive. It's a good idea to make the hitboxes of small treasures larger to make them easier to pickup.
Good stuff, Art is just okay but the art and music fit well together to make a great mood. Gameplay was good, I found the wreckage of the distress signal. Overall its a good game, well done. Two things I would suggest have the boat start at the store so you wont have to search for it. And have the treasure spawn in random places, right now it just always appears in the same places.
@digitaldude555 Thanks for your feedback and for playing the game :) I really have to make the fisherman easier to find.
Very cool game, congrats! The mood is outstanding and the upgrade/progression system is nice. Are there any easter eggs to hunt for after you complete the mission? (I didn't make it back to the fisherman, so I wasn't sure if he'd say something...)
I also encountered the bug about floating into to sky on the right side of the screen, it does not seem to be tied to momentum, maybe it's just a hitbox issue?
Simple and nice executed. I read on the itch page about the additional stuff, like the shop (I kept dying because of lack of O2), and then it became a bit easier. As other said, you could polish it, add some tweaks and make it a final game. The sub takes some time to turn, maybe make turn a bit faster, or lower the decrease speed of O2.
@ditam Thank you very much for playing the game :) I am really happy you enjoyed it ^^ Sadly there are no easter eggs to hunt :( The world is much emptier than I had planned since I had less time, than expected ^^' The floating in to sky issue is indeed a hitbox issue. I will fix it in a bugfix update sometime soon ^^
This was quite fun to play. I really dug the feeling of exploration and the vision effects were great. It felt a little frustrating getting caught in corners in a few places, though I think that is pretty realistic to what would happen.
I did get locked completely at one point. Not sure there was anything I could do from there. Lost Contact.PNG
Perhaps a reverse thruster of some sort to get off the ground would help both of these problems.
Overall though, I really had fun :)
Nice game! I love the part when you take risk for greater treasure. Also when you get deeper, the sea and light changes accordingly. Nice detail!
Loved the atmosphere of the game, especially as you got to the depths. I do think the beginning was a bit too slow, it took quite a few upgrades before I got up to a speed that felt comfortable. Also had some collision issues while picking up treasures, I'd have to kind of awkwardly slide my sub across the ground to pick them up and then slowly build up enough momentum to move away. I liked the pixel art and the lighting effects, they were a really nice touch. Great job!
@cpv Thank you so much for your feedback, I will look into it :)
@venezia I am really happy you enjoyed the game ^^ I'll think about adjusting the controls so it's easier to navigate. I totally forgot to remove this corner :( I am sorry you got stuck, I will fix it in the next update ^^ I forgot about this corner and the submarine shouldn't be able to strand. Thank you for your feedback and for playing :)
@imyellowfish I am happy you enjoyed the game :) Thank you for playing and for the feedback ^^
@nice-gear-games Thank you for your feedback and for playing the game :) I am glad you enjoyed it ^^ I will make the colliders bigger so you won't have to slide through the ground to pick it up.
Interesting game, but I manage to die and lost everything wile speaking to the fisherman because I was still a little underwater, maybe having some warning (visual/ auditive) that can telle you more about when you begin to really miss 02 and then live would be really nice. But that's a nice little game jam, good job !
@nounka thank you for playing and for your feedback :) That's a really good idea ^^ I think I'll add something like that when or if I do a post jam version ^^
Took me a while to beat the game, but it was a good time! Returning to the fisher/submarine Engineer made you learn the layout until you felt ready to go deeper. Every level felt a little different and kept you exploring. My favorite part was doing flips at the surface :D
@parkuhrmd Thank you for playing the game :) I am really glad you enjoyed it ^^

Yeah! :sunglasses: Your game was really good and moody. I really enjoyed discovering the seabed, collect treasures and upgrade my submarine (which looks like a fish  ) Only one thing to fix: when the submarine comes to surface, its speed is too much reduced.
Great job on this jam!
@curtis-pelissier thank you very much ^^ I am really happy you enjoyed playing the game :) Do you mean when you enter the surface from the water or from the air?
Definitely a great game, if I were to criticize anything though it would be the art. not because it's bad but because of all of the unused pixels.
Other then that i think this was really well made
@wolfier Thank you very much for playing the game :) The art was kept very simple this time, I have to admit that ^^' Planned to do more decorations and to add more variety but didn't due to time issues :/
I like the exploration factor in this game, fun to have some objective and story behind it too. Light effects, player movement and sound were really fitting. Nice entry!
The graphics were amazing! I liked all the subtleties like how it gets slowly darker, then your lights come on, etc. I will say I was a bit disappointed by the ending after all of the grind it took me to get there. But still, was a fun little game and if I forgot to mention it, the music was pretty good, too! :)
@villanelle Thank you for playing the game and for your feedback :) I am really glad you enjoyed playing my game ^^
@rubixnoob13 Thank you for playing the game :) I am glad you liked it ^^ The ending was quite short and unspectucular, that's true :/ But good job on reaching the end! :)
Your game masterfully mixed grind and exploration, so with that alone you'd have me hooked  However, you also managed to create a great atmosphere with the graphics and music, producing a mesmerizing mood that reminded me of the "Sunless" series. So, naturally, I played Lost Signal until the end and kept exploring until I wasn't able to upgrade anything else.
Even though the ending could be described as "anticlimatic", I feel it was fitting — after all, it's all about the journey, isn't it? I was impressed that I didn't lose my way even once, even without a minimap, but the exploration still felt interesting throughout the game. I also absolutely loved the fact that the "player" is so small in this vast world. In the end, it was a quasi-meditative experience filled with surprises and rewards that will stay with me for a while. Thank you for making this, I'd gladly play more.
The only nitpick I have is that sometimes the submarine gets "stuck" in some corners, so if you're looking to keep working on it, I'd recommend making some sort of way to "move backwards" to avoid some frustration. Another solution would be to not have to get too close to the treasures to pick them up, so these "bumps" would happen less frequently.
Overall excellent game, I hope you continue adding content to it
@pijamar Thank you very very much for your detailed feedback! I am so so happy you enjoyed my game so much, that really made my day :) The backwards feature has been requested a few times, so I'll think about how to solve the bumping issue ^^ I think I'll also continue working on the game once I have enough time, since I really enjoyed making it and had a lot more content in mind, than I could implement. Thank you again very much for playing my game and giving me such nice feedback, **you** are awesome! :)
