A very difficult game; my brain exploded.
Tricky to play at first but gets fun after you catch up. Nice tune!
I like trains so this game is very exciting for me. I love the music and the graphics. This game is very very difficult. You need to control 3 trains simultaneously, using laser to remove the rocks and making the trains stop at right places. There is a text on the screen telling what is happening and a map showing us the whole scene, but the game is too hard and I have no time to focus on it.
@segtree Thanks for playing! You can slow down all 3 trains , but it will lower your score a bit. I'll keep this in mind if I ever make a larger version of it.
It is quite difficult to manage all three at once XD I liked the aesthetic, and it was pretty fun once I figured out how to play! Neat entry!
Oof ouch owie my brain--I'm bad enough at driving a single vehicle at once. Doing it three times at the same time has me worried about my triple insurance rates.
Fun game concept!
This is a brilliantly charming and addictive puzzle game with a wonderfully cozy vibe! When i started playing i didn`t understand much, tbh:) Guiding the trains safely to their destinations while enjoying some remarkably catchy music made in just 10 minutes is an absolute treat. The low-poly Kenny assets give it a clean, lovely aesthetic that fits the gameplay perfectly. Fantastic work on putting together such a fun and polished jam entry!
This game is really confusing, but it actually looks pretty good. This game actually manages to represent this "old simulation game" aesthetic, and i love it
I felt a little dumb playing this hahaha! Trying to keep track of all three at once completely fried my brain. It was a really interesting experience, though, and I genuinely enjoyed it! Such a unique and innovative idea. Congrats, great job!

unfortunately getting this error
I tried but never did figure this out. Maybe starting with one train to get the hang of it and progressively building would help.
I like the idea of three views from the train at once! But it’s kind of hard to manage them. I’d also like to see a map; that would be enjoyable!
It’s a bit tricky to keep track of 3 trains at once, but that adds a certain challenge. It was an engaging and intense experience. Thumbs up!
I liked the difficulty, but I couldn't tell if the levels were changing in any way. I agree with @onedozenbagels that it woulda been nice to see a progression of difficulty.
It was very tough at first, but once I got the hang of managing all three trains, it felt like the levels were a bit too easy. It seemed like every level was boiling down to: 1. laser rock, 2. stop the train. It would've been cool to have the trains start to overlap each other's routes (it looks like the tracks overlap, but I never actually had it happen in-game). Still, I very much like the concept. Rendering the three views simultaneously was really cool, and with a lengthier tutorial + slower difficulty ramping it could be a fun challenge while not being too difficult.
This is conceptually really neat! Juggling the views of multiple trains at once is a lot, but that's the point. The music is also a neat little tune to go with, great job making it in 10 minutes xD.
I really feel the "Next Level" system is flawed. The trains start back up again after stopping, so the trains need to arrive at about the same time for the "Next Level" to show up. If that's the intention, that's fine, but in that case, it would be great if the game paused when that screen appeared.
It would also be nice if the score was kept between levels, so I can try to go for a high score, rather than each level resetting me back to the start. With there not being any difficulty scaling between levels (from what I can tell at least), it's odd to me there even is a level system.
Lastly, I do feel the lasers take away from this being "old tech". If the intention isn't to go for the theme, then that's fine.
Overall, this is a conceptually really neat game, with some rough edges I think need to be sanded to turn this from something neat conceptually to something solid to play. Thank you for submitting it, it was quite fun to play! 😄
@hammy275 I didn't have time to implement anything aside from the lasers in terms of weapons. Lasers did exist in the 60s though, so I guess it's possible.
Thank you for such a great review. I will keep in mind all of your feedback if I decide to expand on this idea!
