A scathing thesis on the problems of human overpopulation (told through the thinly veiled metaphor of Gooberkind), Goober City remains a poignant deconstruction of our own earthly ambitions. We may construct cities, and we may fill them with goobers, but has anyone stopped to consider the consequences of our actions? What of all of the trampled, downtrodden, and overlooked that we leave behind in our wake, who have no recourse but to glom together and roll through our cities at 6fps?

Goober City is boldly unafraid to ask these questions--no matter how uncomfortable may be the truths it points us toward

Its broken? Camera goes wild

Funny and quirky, but controls seemed to be reversed! It was a little difficult to navigate the camera and player movement. Love the little guy though <;

Congrats on completing the jam and thanks for sharing your game!

The little goober is right in between creepy and adorable, well done with him! Also props for doing your own music!

I struggled a little bit with the controls — it seemed like my camera was getting stuck on something or jittering a bit. I did get a decent sized goobermari going though!

I like the goober guys and music! It's a very fun concept! The only thing is The camera and controls are very laggy for me so it takes away from the experience.

The goober's design is absolutely perfect! The music is also amazing, great stuff guys!

your idea is interesting, but as my teacher said, "it doesn't work, so it doesn't work." I would love to play the repaired version :)

I love the concept and music!

You are Gubs, and we are Goops! I think these are neighboring kingdoms. Welcome.

It looks like a good technical experience. I would think about how this could be implemented. The idea is similar to Katamari Damacy, a very popular game.

The gameplay turns into an experimental music video with a generated montage due to the lagging camera. It's fun!

Collecting Gubs around the city is cool))

Nice katamari game  For me the game lagged a bit and WASD not adjusting to where I am looking confused me a bit. Very personal opinion Goobers are scary looking!

An experience indeed! I think you have a funny concept here, and I really liked the presentation going into it, with an amusing description and amusing characters, and music that fits the vibe as well, but as others have pointed out, the game itself seems kind of broken? :(

I got a very bad framerate as well, and this is definitely not a bad computer, so I'm not sure what's going on. The models of the buildings seem very detailed, so that might have something to do with it. The camera kept zooming in and out which might be the linear interpolation overshooting due to the low FPS? Movement also didn't seem to change with the camera angles, so it was very difficult to move around.

The actual game also didn't look much like the screenshot for me, so I'm not sure if it just looks wrong on my machine or if the image is not actually from the game.

If you can work the issues out I think this could be neat! :)

(sorry, my comment posted twice)

It's rough but it's an interesting idea, the music is really nice and rolling around collecting other goobers was neat! I had some performance issues too despite having a pretty beefy laptop, especially when loading in, something with the models or the web export could be causing issues.
