EARTHQUAKE by TheNBCorpse 2022-10-03T16:58:07Z

@indigo Thank you for playing and leaving some feedback!

This definitely turned out as being a bit longer than I originally thought it would be, and in a good way. Even knowing how to beat the game I don't think I have managed to get below four minutes.

The jumping is deliberately weak for three reasons: - Having a low jump and high gravitational pull increased the game difficulty and made it a lot more satisfying when you get a jump right - Giving the player a jump of only two blocks allowed for better level design, personally I hate making platformers where the player shoots up across the screen and easily makes it over several blocks - Many games from the NES/Famicom era had odd jumping physics (namely: Ice Climber), so it seemed fitting to give the player a mildly difficult jump

Or maybe it's a low jump because of my love of difficult platformers and hatred of how nowadays most platformers don't have that same feel as the classics

The theme being garbage is certainly more than just a joke this time around.... personally I loathe themes that are mechanics, I'm not looking forward to having to rate a lot of stressful games.

EARTHQUAKE by TheNBCorpse 2022-10-04T01:31:50Z

@gamejmunk Thank you for playing!

I made it so you have to specifically use your magic when the earthquake happens so that you wouldn't be randomly stopping, and if you gained magic automatically that would be confusing and a tad boring. In retrospect it gets a little tedious near the end of the game if you have not been saving up energy prior to the mountain

A hint for when to cast the mage powers: the best timing for gaining magic is after when the countdown says 1, the earth mage powers conveniently last for exactly a second

LD54 — Limited Space

BLOCKIES by Ayxs 2023-10-19T06:31:49Z

I was promised relaxation and oh my did you not disappoint. Absolutely amazing and addicting, I just played for over an hour without even realizing it. Quite a few no-brainer 5/5 category ratings, this is easily one of the most fun Ludum Dare games I've played in quite some time.

Managed to get a score of over 13000, getting a nice respectable place of 6th on the leaderboard. Unfortunately it got stuck in a scenario where both choices were 4 blocks tall and had nowhere to go, but the game's so relaxing I can't even be disappointed.

Super Pinup Smasher 2000 by fullmontis 2023-10-19T05:00:51Z

Great graphics, good physics, easy to learn gameplay, fitting audio, overall a pretty solid entry. Could be interesting to speedrun because there aren't too many levels and there are tons of possible ways to beat the them (I absolutely had to use the Pit of Shame the first time it appeared lol).

Rush Hour by pataya 2023-10-19T08:34:27Z

Very very well-polished, easy to understand and play, and has nice sounds and music too. I absolutely enjoyed this! Managed to get a high score of 33754 which is apparently pretty good.

Rover Under by ColeSlaughter 2023-10-20T07:08:03Z

Really really neat concept, very innovative and relaxing. Managing to get something like this working in only 3 days must have been tricky, well done! It runs very well and I didn't encounter any issues.

Go team blue!

Voidonaut by Jonathan Lorenz 2023-10-20T05:36:56Z

With a base this solid I can only imagine how polished and fun to play a full version would be. You did a good job, the graphics look great and the shooter section was simple but fun.

A.I. Move by Petter 2023-10-19T07:45:13Z

Simple, good-looking, and short, overall pretty good. Throwing the objects was fun, I rarely ever placed them down (sorry vases!) Managed to get a score of 96, so not bad at all!

Prof Delespace and the Golden Record by cagibi 2023-10-20T07:25:01Z

Absolutely fantastic and an easy 5/5 in Humor. The dialogue was fantastic, the puzzles were a great difficulty, the sounds fit very well, and the music was very catchy. I would gladly play a full-length version of this.

Speedy Deliveries by sinus 2023-10-20T06:33:17Z

Simple to learn, easy to play, fun to try and get a high score. Overall very enjoyable! Color-coding the packages was a nice touch to make it quick to see which packages to send.

Got a high score of 30 packages, wonder how well I could do using my tablet's touchscreen rather than my mouse.

Screenshot 2023-10-20 011334.png

Edit: got 41 using single-finger touchscreen! Very fun game, nice and hectic.

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-18T15:39:37Z

Really really cute game, the graphics were fantastic and the story was very entertaining. You put just the right amount of empty rooms between puzzles and sheep encounters, they didn't feel boring or useless and instead made the dungeon more dynamic. You may not have made the music but there's still feedback to give on that, you picked some good music for each situation, they all fit very well. I don't usually replay story-based games but it's a such a good game I'm going to play it again and try and get ending #1.

Pack-It! by shiny Elster 2023-10-03T07:07:05Z

Quite fun! The difficulty curve was really nice, it sped up at a very good rate and the addition of new objects when the game got harder was smart. The graphics are nice and cute too. A few items were a little wide and had trouble fitting in certain boxes at specific angles and had to be positioned at *just* the right spot but it wasn't too bad.

Current personal best is 695 points, might try for 1000 later.

Grandma Won't Stop Buying! by WeirdBitGames 2023-10-19T07:24:41Z

Pretty good! The graphics and story are quite cute. The near-constant deliveries of more packages really made the space feel limiting fast and having to throw boxes into the house and then immediately rush outside to prevent new ones from smashing is pretty fun.

Only managed to get a high score of 148 since I had a little too much fun grabbing tons of boxes and throwing them all at once....

Puzzle Pawz by Creeepsy 2023-10-19T07:50:56Z

Probably my only complaint about this would be that there's only 3 levels, I'd love to play more! It's nice and simple and the audio is very cute.

Ambling Below by SaikaMatoi 2023-10-03T08:31:19Z

Playing through the whole game at 2 AM despite my brain really struggling with it was absolutely worth it for that ending music, 10/10 lol.

This was pretty fun, the puzzles were good and the graphics are nice. I'd love to see this get updated with more levels, I'd gladly play them.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Fly's Revengeria by jward 2024-10-25T21:58:31Z

Both very funny and very fun, I love it! It has a lot of personality and charm, and trying to figure out what's safe to go for is fun. The opening cutscene is a nice touch too.

Globlins by twopoint3 2024-10-25T22:47:37Z

Extremely underrated, this game is cute and fantastic! The mechanics, music, graphics, and level design are all very well done, and it was super fun tinkering around and trying to find unintended ways to beat some of the levels.

Creature Rehabilitation Lab by Anson Rutherford 2024-10-25T19:30:01Z

Really neat game! I love how cute the creatures are, their expression when you're holding them is funny. The creatures going all over the place and escaping as soon as you open the dispenser does a good job of feeling like you're frantically having to take care of them all.

Miku's Minion Madness by Miku 2024-10-08T06:23:03Z

The art and music are both absolutely fantastic, they both feel extremely polished. I really like how the music goes quieter during the card choosing phase, it indicates the phase change quite well.

Screenshot 2024-10-08 005514.png

Managed to beat it second try, after the first attempt it was pretty easy to figure out what each card does and what it's good for. Personally I don't mind the slower pace of the combat, it makes it easy to analyze how the battles are going. With a few new features to add more gameplay length I could easily see this being a game I'd play regularly on my phone, the randomness and card variety makes it extremely fun.

Corporate Swarm by lonelyfloat 2024-10-25T21:52:55Z

The sudden swarms where you suddenly get rushed are really fun! It's a very charming game, I'd love to play even more levels of it.

Creature Collect by TheNBCorpse 2024-10-09T04:08:17Z

@gao-ming thank you!

@plasmapuffs there's 33 in total, looks like you got 27 of them! You're right that saying somewhere how many there are to find would be a good idea, there is a % completion text on the win screen but not one during the game. (There is an ending, and it's not stated as clear as it could be but you don't have to get every creature, I'm pretty sure it's possible to speedrun it in only 6 creatures.)

Looks like you got all of the creatures up until the area with the Beam Creature, so a hint for how to get to the end:

**HINTS/SPOILERS WARNING**

in the 4-way room with a Door Creature and 3 Triple Turrets south of where you get the Beam Creature, try blasting the turrets away to get deeper into the dungeon! The fourth and final checkpoint is in the very next room and there's a few Coin, Door, and Maze creatures around, and the ending room.

Thanks for playing!

Creature Collect by TheNBCorpse 2024-10-26T01:49:49Z

@triastase aww, glad you enjoyed it!

Code Bunny by Stevie257 2024-10-25T20:20:02Z

This feels *really* polished for a game jam game, everything feels extremely cohesive. The graphics have a nice style, the music and sounds are very clean and fitting, and the gameplay easily made me play for around 20 minutes. Definitely one of my favorite games I've played this jam!

Clay Clash by Just_ahcino 2024-10-25T22:28:17Z

Very adorable! I really like the distinct differences between the enemy types, makes them have different strategies to fight them. The movement did bug sometimes though, the enemies and clay people would sometimes slide along each other and one time as a clay person spawned it shot itself and a purple enemy far off-screen.

Nit N'Run by Mikl95 2024-10-25T22:18:19Z

It's definitely a little rough but it's a good concept, jumping up and infesting the people is neat and I had fun. You did a good job with the time you had!

Worm Eats Apples by Azimiro 2024-10-25T22:11:58Z

Quite solid for your first entry, good job! The gameplay is easy to figure out and has good replayability.

Ant of the Road by SpeedyRagout 2024-10-25T21:48:10Z

Really creative idea! Laying a path for the ants while being careful where your mouse is is a neat mechanic, and the music was very fitting. I did have some problems with the mouse lock though, sometimes it wouldn't lock correctly and the sugar would jitter or the mouse would leave the game window, sometimes causing the sugar to snap back to the nest and kill the ants.

Hell's Kitchen by DavidZ 2024-10-25T22:08:21Z

Quite fun, and having mini screens in the corner to see all 3 rooms is really nice! The variety of different bugs plus having to switch between the rooms and use multiple squishes sets the chaotic mood well.

Goober City by Will Liu 2024-10-25T22:34:53Z

It's rough but it's an interesting idea, the music is really nice and rolling around collecting other goobers was neat! I had some performance issues too despite having a pretty beefy laptop, especially when loading in, something with the models or the web export could be causing issues.

Hexoban by PlasmaPuffs 2024-10-08T05:02:48Z

6:58 on my first run! Probably could have been faster but I lost around a minute to the game running in slow motion until I turned down my refresh rate.

Screenshot 2024-10-07 234108.png

Definitely one of the best sokoban games I've ever played, the levels are extremely unique and require a lot of thought. I especially loved the final level, trying to figure out how to do the first few honeycombs reminded me of playing checkers. The audio and graphics are nice too, I've been listening to the music for a while and it's very calming.

Puddle of Slimes by Apoly7 2024-10-25T21:33:33Z

Very fun! Each color's behaviors were easy to figure out, and I like the music and short but fun length.
