Nice little game. Love the art and the animations. Also love the gathering of effects, that makes it more fun. It feels a bit random what I should choose, which makes it a little less fun. Then again, that's rock paper scissor for you. Great game!

The artwork looks great, and I love how they bounce at eachother before the attack. Also credit to setting up the itch page's decoration!
It's an interesting concept of applying bonuses to the game - I think it could be really fun if expanded on.
I feel like you could start by collecting an item before the game plays so that people get into the mechanics from the very start, and then more items would be fun too.
There was a slight bug where it freezes if you don't select 3 things before hitting OK.
Good job!

This game has very clear and tidy logic, I think less is more, and it's really great!

Cute fun little game ^
I’m overwhelmed by the adorableness, the art is PERFECT! Turning rock-paper-scissors into a more complex game is a great idea, and it was well executed, and it still can be even more! However, I think the enemies in the first battles could use a bit less health, since it’s mostly luck at that point. A way to speed up the battles would be great too — after a while, they can feel a bit slow. But overall, I love the game! Well done!

I love your game. When the start screen is animated, I'm already hyped. The animations are funny, I love the art style and it was fun to play. I also like the items you can get. Maybe they could be a bit bigger on the popup. At first I just selected one rock and clicked ok. So I got an error (IndexOutOfBounds). Maybe you could prevent the click on the ok button or show a note that you have to select three moves.
That is adorable

A very cute game! The idea of a simple game like rock, paper scissors and expanding is quite unique and not something I've seen before. I also really like the name "pe pa te", it's somehow fitting for the adorable art style. A lot of my effects I chose involved playing 3 of a type (3 rocks, 3 papers) so it would've been nice if I defeated the enemy sooner (i.e. turn 1 or turn 2) then the special effect would still trigger (as I had 3 rocks in my hand). I think I also found a bug where if you don't choose anything (just press Ok!) then enemies will appear anyway and you can't do anything :(
All that aside this is a very charming game that's well-polished :)

Cute game! I felt you got the vibe nailed down with the visuals , I really like how you took a simple idea and developed it into a concept that could be explored further.

Art is nice, but didn't feel intuitive. Didn't get that the pink one was paper and the triangles the scissors. If you click ok before selecting, the game bugs out. Still an interesting take on the classic, good job.
This is a fun spin on RPS with a roguelite twist!
I will say that the power where 3 papers = 3 health is entirely broken... if you play only 3 papers from then on, you literally can't lose. Worst case is you lose all three clashes, which is -3 health, but then you get 3 back. If any of the fights go your way, you slowly win the war of attrition.
Fun game regardless!
@breadstick, I found the same to be true. I will say I enjoyed it. I also expected to face enemies with those same benefits. As I went on, I wished there was way to speed up the gameplay animations. Have you played? https://www.looneylabs.com/content/pyramid-sham-bo

It's a great game! Congrats guys! I couldn't imagine that Scissors, Paper, Rock could get such an addictive twist. Definitely has great potential for Steam games. The graphics are very cool and I love the colors. The game feels very polished.
Dunno if it's a bug or if it was already reported, but I still can play with nothing selected and the game doesn't advance any further (itch.io build)

Really cool twist on a classic game. The faces are so cute! I wish the sprites were a little more descriptive; I thought they were a potato, a napkin, and an office building at first.

A simple and effective game, it’s a solid base to imagine more powers and combos! And the assets have cute faces so I had a great time :)
Very innovative twist on the rock paper scissors game, I really like the animations on the sprites too. I do wish there was some way to regain health very early on since it was pretty hard for me to last more then a few matches, since most upgrades seemed to give you more max health instead of normal health, but maybe that's just a skill issue lol.

The graphics are very nice, but I found the changes compared to rock-paper-scissors to be too little, adding some more would make a nice game out of it! The game freezes when not selecting 3 items, which is a little bit annoying, a fix would be great.
Overall it's a neat entry.

The art and animations are really nice! There's a lot of charm to the characters that you've developed, and the little things like the moving background really add a nice layer of polish to the game! :)
That said, I may have been missing something, because it didn't feel like there was any strategy I could develop for choosing rock, paper, or scissors - It felt like it was pure luck when I won. After I beat the first fight and got the "Heal 3 if you play 3 paper" ability, the game wasn't about luck anymore, but was reduced down to just selecting paper each turn.
Rather than trying to have the player play a straight game of rock/paper/scissors, it might be more interesting if you treated this more like a traditional roguelike deckbuilder, and had the player build a deck of rock/paper/scissor cards. Then, you could let the player see their opponent's next move in order to be able to counterplay against them, without guaranteeing the player's victory each round.
For example, Slay the Spire lets you see exactly what your enemy is going to do, so you could theoretically block every point of incoming damage, but the difficulty comes from the fact that you need a synergistic deck in order to guarantee that you have the cards you'd need each turn. You could do something similar here where you draw a hand of 3 cards by default, and the cards that you draw have extra abilities tacked onto them that force you to make interesting decisions about which cards to play against which of your opponents moves. For example, you might have a "Double Edged Scissors" card which always deals 1 damage to both players, in addition to acting like a traditional scissors card, or a "Bandaid" card which heals 1 health while acting like paper.
I think there's something really cool here, and it needs a little bit of iteration to get to its final form - A rock/paper/scissors roguelike is a great idea for a game concept! :)

Very cute art and despite being simple, it was a very fun concept and funny to play too :) Some lo-fi or silly music would have been awesome!
