A Day in the Life of Death by DDRKirbyISQ 2023-01-12T07:37:41Z
Impressive little setup. I feel bad for all the innocence I killed as they got in the way. Guess I need an easy mode and two red lines.

Smashing bugs for days. Love the presentation, sound and style. Game-play wise an end state or progression goal would have been nice.
Feels very familiar, nice job getting this far in three days.
A Second soft timer to give the player some urgency when trying to get back up would be nice, death atm is very sudden and no real way around it if you get the timing 0.1 sec off.
Sweet and short game. The field feels a bit small as died twice because of watering on the edge and a zombie spawning on top of me. Giving them one or two more rows outside of the field would prevent that.
Graphics and audio are top. Took me a few tries before I learned to dodge when they wind up.
Hard to control but the little buggers ate up everything without even destroying a tower. Balancing out tower defence like game mechanics is a challenge in a jam. (if not impossible) Love the concept and with some polish this could make for a fun little title.
I can not build for windows or mac, and the Godot web builds seem to be broken on this site.
A link to itch.io is acceptable I hope? * https://story-arc.itch.io/the-dust-harvest
The jump drives takes you "home", it lets you save resources before you die and lose them. When home you can craft boosters to using them more freely in the next run and hit higher scores. (the death and jump transitions are a bit jarring, did not have time for smooth transitions or polish on those)
@SparklingSushi The start seems a bit rough for many. Pick up white stuff, kill one or two and jump out, save dust repeat until you have a stash and get the hang of it. Also killing those that light up (harvested your) drop extra dust.
@yorsh for the Jam I opted out of the graphics because the game has none. Maybe I could have left it on but it did not feel right. (Same for Audio it is just some royalty free track and 8bit procedural noise)
@autumnmnmn Try running it on using itch.io, something is off about godot/ldjam hosting combo.
Sadly most of the art was cut from the submission. Working on an update for after the voting.
@ismael-rodriguez nothing wrong, you need to quickly harvest some Dust (white dots) before you can shoot.
I keep failing the exam, feels like they game me the crappy controller with all the buttonz. Maybe setup difficulty levels by increasing the view size a bit, or angle, or the responsiveness to input.
Impressive art, music and composition for the time frame. Love the overall mood.
Nice concept, feels good and impact full but control feels a bit off. Died twice and feels like a dice roll, not allot you can do to prevent it skill wise.
Love the art.
