Good game +1
The level of detail is incredible; I think your game deserves high marks.
As already said in commentrs - very high level of details
Very beautiful game, I like it)
decent graphics and gameplay loop. the content is pretty decent but everything being available at the first moment makes it hard to learn imho. would love to see this game after jam with a more graspable progress.
Would like to have played, but I'm on Linux :( Graphics looks very detailed.
Papers Please but UE5! Very ambitious, very cool!
I like vibe in this game. I really enjoy
Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff
Wow, this is really well done! Such a clever take on the jam theme. Awesome work!
@seyoke @ao-85 @sanechekz Thank you so much for being bots!! Very cute. The download counter on my game did not move for past 2 hours, how did you manage to play my "amazing" game?
@eugenik this your game? {FB5E8B0B-5657-44E5-8509-44C36A5DD8AD}.png
@seyoke I see you spammed the download button exactly 7 times, yes. Post an end game screenshot if you are not lying to me.
edit: or not. I dont care for people botting my game. I want real opinions, not opinions of leeches.
i give for all customers cocaine, funny experience
You're game looks super detailed and interesting, do you plan on making a WebGL build for it?
@thanatosisanoob that would be difficult to do, afaik the webgl on itch has 500MB limit and the game right now has around 970MB after compression.
Screenshot 2026-10-20 184425.png love these little messages. i find it funny that it prioritizes food and heat over life saving medicine. the vibe in the game is on point. the scale feels good to use. i think this game has legs you should add some content and release this on steam. the book is well laid out. i would like some quiet music though and maybe a little more hand holding on the first day.
Such a fun little game! The core loop is really satisfying and easy to pick up. Had a great time playing through it this morning. Left my scores!
The design is so great, love the idea, definitely a good game
Very great work on the environment and mood--you really get a sense of the time period from the art assets you've compiled! Also something about the clicky UI noise is satisfying to me. I received no demerits by post; my family survives another night. I do enjoy these sorts of games of operating a complex user manual under time pressure--very well done!
@eugenik ah ic ok. I wanted to give ppl cocaine 😔
I couldn't play it since I'm on GNU/Linux and it's Windows-only, so I haven't rated it, but I'd love to play and rate it!
I also couldn't play it as I don't have windows, but It looks so good and I really would love to >.<
Top 1 game in this Ludum—I’m genuinely blown away, it’s just so cool!
Very beautiful graphing and great game!
Very good game as always for @eugenik. It's always interessting to see bits and parts of the past. I've learned things again today. Thanks.
That visual so pretty!
This game has such a familiar, comforting vibe... I really love the visuals, and the gameplay is fun too.
I liked the graphics, but I'm on Linux. It would be great if it were possible to play on it too
Visually stunning! "Medicine, Please" would honestly have been a fantastic title and reference. This game is genuinely mind-blowing! I have to admit, though, that nearly 1 GB was a bit of a killer hahaha, but it was absolutely worth it! Amazing work!
before anything, the graphics is a chief kiss. The vibe is interesting, and the gameplay is unique. Good work! The dev attitude on some of the replies though is something else.
Looks great, man!
The game looks insane! I did not go that far into the game though, cause there already were so many things to choose in the beginning. I'd appreciate it if you only make some of the meds available first, to help me get a basic understanding of the gameplay.
@eugenik you don't want opinions of leeches but you use generic ai comments under other game.
Graphics are cute! Gameplay is not for me, but at least it works well!
This game looks really impressive for 72 hours! Everything models and UI already looks great together in one style. Love analog thing in gameplay, probably if you put all interface as books on the table it would work well. I also thought that your first screenshot is with shader and game also have it. It looks much better. Anyway, great work!
@pazio-di-dante thank you! You mean it would look good with a shader? That was just gif compression :D
@eugenik Yeah! Some kind of shader would make it much stylish. Even with simple gif compression :)
This is a great entry. You got a lot done in 72 hours.
The atmosphere really hooked me: standing behind the counter in 1930, with a sick daughter, money running low, and every decision weighing heavily. Weighing out powders on the scales—without some unexpected incident occurring, or someone begging for morphine without a prescription—is something that will stick with me for a long time. It’s an excellent game for a game jam, though by the third day, it could have used a bit more variety in the customers.
Good game, my favorite on ld60
Really enjoyed this one. It looks intimidating at first with its bulky inventory, but it's actually surprisingly intuitive once you get into it. I love the setup too, three days, a family waiting at home that you're working for, and ten customers a day. Some describe their illness in words, some hand you a prescription, and some just want to walk off with drugs without one, and you get three chances to make a mistake. Overall a complex, excellent project. My only suggestion would be to declutter the screen a bit, there's a lot of menus and active actions.
Wow, graphics and artstyle is insane 🤯 attention to details, typography and interface are also nice.
I’m speechless; it’s hard to even believe that this was accomplished in such a limited amount of time
Awesome! I absolutely love this aesthetic. Great job!
> (...) I dont care for people botting my game. I want real opinions, not opinions of leeches.
Here's my real opinion then:
I think maybe you should start with yourself here. You seem to be visiting people's entries and leaving a generic, or AI-generated, comment - and it's pretty clear you did not even start those games.
Because of that I am not going to leave any constructive comment on the game. You're not gaining anything by trying to "game" LD rating system. If you want "real opinions", start by giving them yourself - actually spending time with others' creations. Who knows, maybe you'll actually learn something.
I had fun playing this! Took me a while to get used to the UI, but after a while it became nice to use. And the scale is just beautiful, very good vibes.
Hmm… a solo developer rated 151.5 games in 2 days, leaving AI comments on each one… seems suspicious
Reposting my comment from last year. Things have changed now because he started using LLMs in his comments. And him calling out other people for supposedly not having played his game is just funny.
--------------------------------------------- Don't give this guy any more attention, and don't bestow heart karma on him. You may have come here because he commented under your game, or because he has 285 karma at the time of writing–but he didn't play your game, and I'm half-convinced he has never played a single Ludum Dare game other than his own. When he's active, his "ratings given" counter increases by about one every 4 minutes, which is nowhere near enough time to download and play a game, leave a rating and comment–and comment he does:

These comments weren't selected. They were the first 10 comments I encountered, and that didn't take long. You'd be hard-pressed to find a comment of his that doesn't look like that; I've never seen one personally.
Leaving one-liner comments isn't inherently bad, but if someone collects (!! is this a Ludum Dare 58 meta-game?) almost 300 karma in a few days, and every. single. comment is so insubstantial, so empty that it could have been written after merely glancing at a screenshot, or not even–then something doesn't seem right.
My game can take less than a minute to complete if you aren't particularly committed to it, and the end screen has a little request to the commenter, a request which obviously hasn't been honored by Eugenik who only commented "Amazing art!!!." under an experimental mini-game where art is the weakest link.
Opportunists who game the system show up at every Ludum Dare, but Eugenik is a repeat offender that has done this for years. In fact, if you've been around here for some time, you probably recognize him. Perhaps his most egregious comment was "nice humor" under a tearjerker game about playing the piano:
@alaah looks like I have a fan! You re-use the screenshot from last year, which just makes me look bad. 4 minutes per game is bullshit, I take at least 15-20 minutes per game. At least I did this year. That i help myself with AI because my english is bad is something else. Does not mean I don't play those games.
Investigate the 3 actual offenders in this comment thread, that were so obvious for not downloading anything (the download counter DID NOT move) and they wrote the most generic comment there is. Namely seyoke, ao-85, sanechekz. Check them when you have more fun hunting people than writing actually fun games :)
You've rated at least 152 games. You claim to have spent 15 minutes per game at the minimum, so that's at least 38 hours of playtime. The jam ended 48 hours ago.
You've been doing this for years and should have been banned years ago for algorithm manipulation. What the other spammers are doing doesn't matter here (whataboutism), though at least you have a taste of your own medicine.
@alaah I have lots of free time and don't sleep too well. Do you explain the other "top feedbackers" with simplified explanations like this too? AFAIK the rating games started after Compo ended, 3 days ago.
Papers, Please vibe. I like it. I’ll be making a game about pills soon too, so I’m going to steal your idea for the reference guide. The game looks really cool, though, honestly, I found it difficult even with the tutorial o_o
Interesting game. Graphically impressive, very detailed gameplay. Impressive for a 72 hour game. Good work -- well done.
the amount of detail in this is unreal for a jam - weighing powders on a balance, poison register papers, three fines and off to the gulag. the setting of a soviet pharmacy in the 1930s with a sick kid at home gives it real weight. i can see how everything being available at once might be overwhelming at first, but the loop itself sounds great. did you model the whole pharmacy by hand or use a kit?
@perrarancino by hand, but as I said, there are assets from my previous projects, so that's why graphics is opted-out. I mean, the set dressing was not difficult, it is a small room. And the bottles in the cabinets are 4 assets duplicated around just for visual effect, and put together into Instanced Static Mesh.
Based on the phrase DOWNLOADS DISABLED above itch.io link and itch.io listing looking like that I guess I came at the wrong time. lol.png Its a pity, game looks interesting
This public information is being shared here as an act of disclosure, as I believe it is important for people to know who they interact with online. I say the following in the strongest possible terms, **do not harass "Eugenik" or anyone connected to him**.
@burneraccount @alaah Thank you for being my fans for multiple years <3 But how do you explain Ludum Dare 59? How come that game is not accused of cheating the system? I did write the comments myself. As I said, I used AI to help with english. And jumping to conclusions from my nick, which is based on Eugene is really reaching.
@burneraccount Man, we're rightfully annoyed about this, but doxxing probably crosses the line. This is ultimately just a game jam. The guy should be banned but you didn't need to post his Linkedin.
@alaah We disagree here, but out of respect for the LD community, I have edited the post to only include a link to his public website.
I was pretty terrible but my family still lived despite me overdosing and underdosing and misprescribing 1/2 of the Soviet union.
Was a fun time and gave me the papers please vibes / Lucas Pope which I think you were after. Thanks for sharing. https://www.youtube.com/live/751Mtc-0IKI?si=M7Wxntn_t7wHLIhg&t=1328
I'm currently on GNU/Linux and noticed the downloads are currently disabled, so I had to evaluate the entry mostly based on the provided screenshots, gifs, and detailed loop description.
The concept of a historical 1930s pharmacy simulator with a risk-reward loop (balancing the family purse vs GULAG fines) is certainly a solid and heavy narrative setup for a jam game. The reliance on old scales, manual grinding mechanics, and looking through reference books is a great way to interpret the "Old Tech" theme. I see there's a big discussion in the thread regarding English translation and LLM/AI assistance for communication — as someone facing a language barrier myself, I can understand using tools to translate feedback, but honest interaction is what makes the jam community great.
The aesthetic and UI cohesion look very detailed for a 72-hour project. Thanks for checking out my game earlier, and good luck with the rest of the jam! ⚖️💊
Happy to see another person from FIT (who knows, know), but the straight up doxxing was inappropriate. The game looks really nice and I really would like to play it, as the game we created was also inspired by Papers Please, only in completely different fashion, but the downloads are disabled. Is it because of these allegations in comments or for some other reason? And will it become available again?
@lazyapegames Based on comments posted prior to mine, he already had his downloads disabled prior to my comment's posting.
This looks really awesome but could use a web or Mac build :(
@eugenik really interesting strategy to deal with comments. So I downloaded the game, played it for some time and left a comment. Should I also upload proofs? Heart rates analysis during the gameplay? Heatmaps of my eyes. Regarding download counter, yes, itch is very reliable regarding statistics. I'm sorry if it felt like a bot review, I DID play the game
@sanechekz you came a bit late, but I know for a fact you did NOT play the game, at least in the time window I mentioned.
no point for further discussion. there are no arguments you would accept
