a checkpoint system of some type might be nice, as it's sad to have to restart all the way back when you touch a laser beam :(
Love the art and overall visual aesthetic! Top-notch art team
Hi! @breadstick thanks for your feedback!
Yes, level design elements are considered to be added this week (or next), as we didn't have time. But your comment is very helpful.
The best art team :)
Tried to play it in Wine on Linux and it unfortunately didn't work. The narrative premise seems very creative, though.
What a vibe. I enjoyed watching the cats and bananas circling around. Really great rigging work!
I don't like the control scheme, specifically that you have to keep tapping the buttons to move, having a more challenging level design with actual platforming mechanics would have made it more fun. Otherwise, it is a unique take on Red Light Green Light.
Thank you all for your comments and feedback!
Soon we will start with some gameplay changes and bug fixes :)
The art direction is fantastic, as said above, and because the movement is a bit slow you really get a lot of time to take it in. I agree that the game could use some checkpoints, but it additionally could do with a bit of telegraphing for the lasers, since the jump mechanic is not super quick to respond to your input. Nevertheless, a very classy product with a ton of visual flair and character!
pretty hard to play with my azerty keyboard but it's fun, the gameplay is simple but nice :)
Hahaha this game were delightfully weird  Loved both the player character and the severed heads. Controls were a bit annoying and I found myself stuck trying to get away from the curtains sometimes, but I enjoyed the experience.
Love the super weird mood! The smashing-keybord-control-scheme is an awesome idea for controlling a coffee pot, but since I am right handed, it was way more confortable to play with my right hand. Using the arrow keys for the controls may feel more natural. And I found the timing of the jump difficult to get.
Some kind of fading in and out when we loose could be nice. The game restart abruptly, and it's easy to loose half of a second at the beginning of the game (nothing game breaking here).
Btw, I feel that it may be super difficult to work with such a big team during a short event like the ludum dare. How did you manage to make it, and organize the work? That's pretty impressive!
Good work on this weird little thing! It was fun!
looks great, sounds great, its just the controls that are a bit lacking. primarily the jump button and when you need to press it in relation to the lazers coming down the board.
Alfred Coffee Pot is a very weird game and I am absolutely here for it. I think the controls could use just a bit more nuance, particularly with jumping over the lasers. This game is an audiovisual treat, the moment I saw it in the feed, I made note of it to check it out later and it did not disappoint!
sounds really great. A bit laggy to me, but overall good game
Awesome Game. Enjoyed the overall concept and gameplay. really enjoyed the 10 seconds factor you imlemented in the game. A little more work from the SFX sides would have done wonder. But still a great job keep it up. Please do check out my submission as well.
I really like the games atmosphere, music and visuals. The gameplay is okay, but the controls was a bit annoying. Overall I will say it is a pretty good jam game.
The intro and narrative were very funny and well made for a game jam game!
Greats graphics and concept in your game. The controls could be improve but they are ok.
Thanks for your comments everyone! We're making some changes :))
Great art direction, music, and humour! I found the controls painful to play with, but otherwise had a good time.
Well done!
The audio is really cool, fitting and set a great mood. I adored the drawn intro (although I think it should be skippable, if you're relaunching the game and don't necessarily want to watch it again), and the setup as a whole is ingenious!
The controls could use some improvement, I think. Having to press W again and again felt strange - like there should be a grid to move on. The jump has this pause before it 'fires' and that is really the most deadly
The colors inside the game didn't really give me a museum feel. More like a fun house on a carnival
Fab storyline and characters! Really original and they'd be great to build out more!
The mechanics definitely need a bit of work with having to click each time to move, but overall great work !
I absolutely loved the graphics and art - both in game and for the cutscenes - and the storyline and concept were really cool, funny and original. The controls felt a bit slow - being able to hold the button to move instead of repeatedly tapping would have felt better (at least for me!) and I often got stuck trying to leave the hiding place, with my coffee pot jumping back into hiding as soon as I'd left.
Oh, this game makes my arms hurt! I know otherwise it would too easy to score the game, but now controls feel not so good. Anyway, I like the artwork and sound! Also the concept is interesting!
