here are two difficulty modes here: hard and very hard. But I managed to beat it anyway.

I think the controls are too difficult for me. Are you sure this is normal difficulty? It feels like hell difficulty, haha.
Short but fun ! finish the game with escape and killed by SWAT (think it impossible to defeate them.)
In a game like this I'd really love for respawning to be instantaneous after death, that would be great. Nice bassline and amen break! ; )

This reminds me a lot of Hotline Miami as you said but with a humorous twist of being a maid instead. Very impressive for 2 days. Well done!
Definitely Hotline Miami-like. After beating normal I did hard and killed everyone and cleaned up properly but it still says I got caught, so perhaps it doesn't like that I cleaned up some before killing everyone? I think the "bottom - down" view point is quite funny, but I don't think it is too useful as something that is detached from the mechanics. I think a game where maybe you can switch perspectives between top and bottom would make a good hook. Still funny here though. Have fun out there!
@phlip45 when you shooting your bullet cases are left on the level. So for hard level you need to clean bullet cases too.
But thanks for the tip about changing perspective. I'll think about it.
Very impressive for a one-person team to make in just 48 hours! Fun idea, great gunplay, tight controls. I especially liked the dynamic music that drops the break when the shooting start 😎
Some nitpicks: * It's a difficult game, it would have been nice with a quick way to retry when you die * The bottom-up perspective was different, but didn't add anything to the experience * The theme is not really part of the gameplay in any meaningful way

Very tough, but nicely executed. I loved doing the little mop up animation. My eyes didn't even register the perspective for a while XD
Is there a windows build? the compo version only contains linux and web, I download web the html didn't work...
(Also what does those weird Chinese charactors mean?? I'm a chinese and they look absolutly absurd out of no where :astonished:
@wo-ri-gou-le, you always can play web version in the browser. But i'll try to build Windows version. Don't know will it work because i don't have Windows at home.
About wierd Chinese characters. As person who can't read hieroglyphs i see in this weird characters common symbols as simple letters from English. So this symbols can be read as BOTTOM UP MAID. ^^
@vydra I don't have linux but everytime I just export it and people played it fine. (Also Idk if I should tell you this... 丁丁 is a cute way of saying that thing, I believe the English term is willy :flushed: you can use alternatives like 十十 （or keep it like this it is quite funny and confuse people who can actually read them
The core gameplay is really fun! The movement is fast and responsive and the shooting matched the pace of the game perfectly! I also appreciate the twist of having to clean up afterwards, but it did take me a few tries to realize I also needed to dispose of the bodies, as well as where to dispose them. Having had to restart so many times, it was frustrating to have to return to the main menu and rewatch the opening dialog each and every time - I would have liked to have seen the level immediately restart a la Hotline Miami so I could keep playing while the energy was high
This game reminds me of Hotline Miami! I really like it! It gives me the vibe that you have to clean up the scene yourself, so this is one careful hitman lol. Not sure if it's a display bug on my end, but in the Windows version I downloaded, the bodies render underneath the blood pools, so sometimes it's hard to see the corpses. Great job though! Awesome game!

Не знаю, может это проблема только у меня, но в скачанной Windows-версии тела рендерятся под лужами крови, поэтому иногда их трудно разглядеть. Но в целом, отличная работа! Игра просто супер!
@yuriscat I tried using a bottom-up perspective instead of a top-down perspective. This means you see from the floor to the ceiling. So when the blood spreads across the floor and covers the bodies, it looks right. There's also a gameplay modifier that forces you to clear the floor before hiding the bodies. I wasn't sure if the Windows build worked well enough! Thanks for the feedback, and have a nice day!

This was pretty fun. At first I thought it was a Hotline Miami clone. I didn’t really like the cleaning mechanic — it feels more punishing than fun — but for a jam, it’s quite decent overall. Audio also good.
Coldline Omsk - I really like the OST and the controls feel good. Unfortunately, there’s no restart button after death and no fullscreen mode. Also, I think the blood should be on a different sorting layer :D

Really liked the fast-paced gameplay and the twist of the cleaning up the bodies and all. It could use some more clarity in the bullets but maybe it's skill issue :3

I always thought how a bottom-up game would be like, I haven't expected it to be a bit le perv tho :D I think music is really on point, I managed to beat normal in two attempts
For a long time, I thought I was playing as a weird robot maid, until I realized that buttom up was a reference to the game perspective. I like that you are trying new perspectives, but I think buttom up perspective is something I would recommend in the future.
I would have loved for the game to have multiple levels, in increasing difficulty, since the game was a bit too easy on hard. But since others think it is too hard, you might have hit a good spot for the casual player.
