This is a good take on the theme, practical and you're always feeling the clock on your back. Had a good time with it!

Reminds me of Seaquest on Atari, which is one of my favorite Atari games. The core gameplay is very solid, but it needs some rebalancing to really shine. It would be nice if the movement was faster, and the sharks really start to add up after a while. Maybe it would be more fun if, instead of tracking you, the obstacles moved in fixed patterns? Or perhaps some obstacles that are fixed while one tries to track you down?
@quinn-patrick THanks. I wanted the movement a bit slow to feel more "under water". I agree on the balancing part. I was thinking about disable the shark follow behaviour last minute, but ended up not doing it. One following you sounds like a good idea.
Thanks for the feedback
Somebody use more time to think about the game then others, it is visible in inovations!. Average art design, next time will be better. Partly match the theme, maybe next time it will be better.. Fun factor is not high at this game, but maybe next time you will think more about that and it will be better.
Really neat take on the theme! I enjoyed playing this one, and the risk reward of getting that extra clam but hoping a bubble would spawn. I agree with the movement could be a bit quicker - I think you could balance it out the lower impact of gravity to keep it feeling floaty and underwater. Great work for 48 hours!
Interesting game. I like the intensity that struggling for air brings. Definately one of the better takes on what is otherwise a fairly bad winning theme. I do agree the movement could be faster. But otherwise a fun little game. Good work!
I enjoyed that for a quick round of diving. Great job. Would have loved some 8-bit "jaws" soundtrack to get into the mood :)
Really inventive. Originally I found it quite difficult, until I realized that the space button let's you respawn at your boat with no penalty it seems. It reminds me alot of newgrounds flash games, good job :)
@nullval Thank you.
Oh, you found that bug :) It's a bool that isn't set properly sometimes, I know exactly why but didn't notice before submission.
@gildar76 mate we've aaaaaall been THERE XD just be glad it wasn't some integral fortune 500 software and instead just a game jam game, besides it made me laugh :D I just imagined the diver having somekind of star-trek device with them that would go off whenever :P
The sharks are relentless! It's a bad feeling when you find yourself laden with treasure but surrounded by more sharks than oxygen bubbles! ^_^;
Good implementation of the theme, just missing a bit of suspensful music.
Wow, those were some hungry sharks! :smile: The game worked well! I liked the 10s air bubble concept.
A nice little game which I absolutely did *not* ragequit after the second shark spawned right on top of me. :) A very well drawn shark mind though! :D A good take on the theme! :D
Nice game, it reminds me of the old platformer games. It's quite challenging due to the sliding movement (swimment), but that's the part of the fun :D And theme of the game is realized. But the exit button in the menu doesn't work :(
Hello!
Nice entry! I liked the simplistic look. Audio was also nice. I think in terms of Gameplay it felt a bit hard, it was a bit frustrating trying to catch the bubbles, also I feel that the player sprite was too small, but maybe that's something you wanted for the style of the game and the visibility of the objects. It was fun once I got used to the mechanics, nice one!
Nice diving simulator. It would be great if I could use the keyboard to start the game instead of using the mouse, so I wouldn't have to switch inputs.
