hey nice music! and the sounds of the bugs are very cute too. It's just that the web version was cut off and I didn't see the options below and I didn't understand what I had to do at the beginning, but the rest is fine
Yes, web version seems to have been scaled wrongly. Otherwise I think the towers feel not very impactful. Many of the upgrades give multipliers. I'm not sure if the thumbnails are misleading but are there actually tower segments which lower the damage of my towers?

Hey, we fixed the scaling for the windowed Web Version! We still recommend playing on Fullscreen!

@jellyfishhunter Yeah we have some versions of towers that give more of a certain stat but lowers another one. We did not have time to create separate versions of the sprites for them sadly. We thought of making the stats color coded in red and green while hovering over it, but that idea also crossed our mind too late ^^'. Maybe an overview of the towers would also helped 🤔. Might add that to the page later.

Congrats on finishing the jam and thanks for sharing your game!
I had fun with this one, though it took me a hot minute to realize that the web build wasn't rendering text on my computer (macos in safari, if it helps). I was dragging upgrades around, but not seeing the stats or costs at first, and (surprisingly) did okay even so.
Tower defense is a clever genre idea for a jam, and y'all did a great job with it!
I wish I had a little bit better of a sense of how much damage I'm doing to the little swarm (maybe some kind of indicator of overall kill rate, or some kind of indicator per little guy on how far done they are). You might've had this and I just couldn't see it, too, because of the web/mac combo issue above — if so, awesome!
I don't see any texts except for what I'm thinking is actually images.

And it's on M1 Mac btw, happening with Chrome and Firefox. I recall having a similar issues way back on iPhone/iPad builds (thought it was fixed at some point though) and managed to get around it by wrapping all the canvas elements in a single mask (so basically have a full size image as the root object of the canvas with a mask component & show graphic on it turned off). No idea why it works like that though...

Nice fun game, Very tiny creatures fit well in the game. i like the big number of (very small) enemies. For me it wasn't clear how much damage my towers were doing without looking at the stats.otherwise good job!

I found it very fun to play until I realised I am not smart enough to beat it, if it's even possible. I tried like 4 times

It was difficult to get the game to even show up when I switched to fullscreen (wound up having to stay in whatever mode the game originally loaded in, otherwise the text all disappeared). The creature sprites seemed unreasonable small to the extent that I didn't see them at first until they started pouring out of the object. The sound design seemed okay, and I understand the theme y'all were going for, but it feels clunky and hard to comprehend.

Very nice game! The upgrading system of the towers is very cool. And the fortifications are nice to give time for the player to build up. Congrats!

Even though the tower strengh and the coin system would have needed some more balancing, the cute graphics and the bounciness of the blorps really made up for it :) Very fun to play!

It's really fun trying out different combinations of effects on the towers, and something just very appealing about stacking stuff on top of each other. I think I'd like the area of effect circles to stay up a bit longer or fade a bit more gradually - very much a nitpicky criticism though. Otherwise visuals are great and the creature sound effects are fantastic!

@antti-haavikko our game is not developed for MAC/ iOS. Please play it on Windows for the original experience. It also seems to work well on Android.

Good game ! Stacking the tower is a really game design idea ! At wave 5 or 6, I got stuck because one little shnorps got stuck somewhere, I could hear him but sadly he wouldn't despawn, so I had to quit the game 😅 Continue like this !

Fun game, but either I'm terrible at it or the balancing needs some work. I gave it a few tries but eventually gave up. Loved the sounds, though. I wasn't able to look at the the left-most upgrades without moving the view to the left, which was kind of frustrating (Web version, Firefox, Linux).

Really fun game, i aggree with some comment that the balancing could be better but for a jam game it's really neat and i wanted to play again and again and do better, great work
Super fun tower defence game. Loved the art and the swarms of little guys.

Really cool take on the theme of tower defence. Using literal towers and building them up as you upgrade them. I've never seen that done before so it's really innovative. The sounds effects are funny and I love the designs of the blorps

Don't know what happened here. It took me a minute to realise that you can move to the right with your mouse. Maybe add it to the desccription? Cool entry. Love a good TD game.

@mrmaico What kind of device are you using? Did you start the Game in Fullscreen Mode or changed it later?
Btw: The Camera-Controls are explained directly on Start as an UI-Window! :D

I loved how the concept of literally stacking towers as upgrades was implemented—it’s such a fresh approach. The gameplay is engaging and kept me hooked, trying out different combinations of effects on the towers. 🏰💥
The visuals are cute and really enhance the experience. The little creatures you fight are fun to watch, and the sound design, especially the quirky sound effects, adds a lot of charm to the game. The blorps are adorable, and their bouncing around kept me smiling throughout the game. 😄🎶
In all, this game is a delightful entry and an impressive jam creation. It’s clear a lot of love and creativity went into it. Keep up the great work! 🌟

@p3ngui I started in the windowed mode on my MacBook in FireFox and then realised that it's a bit cut off. I then went into full screen and everything looked ok. Then I put a module on a tower and it went like this.
Oh that makes sense! I wasn't able to read the UI as it was just a blank screen except for the ö and ß. Same as for @antti-haavikko

@mrmaico Ah okay that makes sense, our game doesn't really support MAC/ iOS. The UI will be buggy :/
It should work fine on Windows or Android. But nice that you tried the game anyways :)

@memz I suppose you also use a MAC/ iOS device? We really didnt developed for iOS, please play it on Windows or Android if you want a not-clunky experience. The extra-tiny creatures are the main part of our approach on the theme. We feel sorry that you disliked it.

Fun game, I really enjoyed burning the little blorps (even though burning might not have been very effective). Audiovisually very cute, just the way I like it. Mechanically it was fun, but it was hard to find out what was a good tower stack and what wasn't before it was built. Not really sure how good the burning and infect were, but the freeze was, I think, a bit too short especially with such low chances. I did enjoy playing this and survived multiple waves multiple times, but it seems that it gets very hard very fast or I am just missing a overpowered combo somewhere. Might need to give it another go. Well done!

@p3ngui I'm on windows, and I agree that they did in fact go with the theme. Everyone will have different opinions, but regardless you made a game and put it out. I can't dislike that!
Very fun! I liked the visuals and the audio is superb. It's fun to discover different tower builds and learn by doing. You really have a cool, fun concept here!
I think the difficulty could go up a bit slower, and it would be nice if the end screen contained some stat about the number of waves survived/tiny invaders obliterated or so. That would give the player additional incentive to try again and do better.
The web version didn't work properly for me (on Firefox) - it didn't want to go fullscreen, and on the tiny screen it kept scrolling to the left when mousing over the tower upgrades. So I played downloadable and that one worked fine

I got sold from the title, but I also loved the tower and the blorps designs (especially their sounds ).
Game was really fun, too, and the tie to the theme was clear. Well done!
PD: Small bit of feedback based on my own mistake. Although controls to move the camera were clearly mentioned I messed my first run because I totally forgot that the world extended to the right. I wonder if hinting at what lies beyond the first wall could encourage players to move the camera by themselves and learn about it.

@skbadger Thanks, it was a work of coffein and not enough sleep :D
10/10, I stuck to this game for a very long time and re-entered it. I really liked everything, the only advice would be for monsters to randomize the tone of the sound in the code, because often the sounds on one note just merge into some kind of mush or a very loud sound.
Nice tower defense game!! This concept of defending your castle is rarely seen in video games, but it's great to play. :european_castle:
Also, the tower modifiers are great, but the buy buttons seem smaller than in the screenshots. Maybe it's a UI issue because the info panels are bigger than my screen too. So I would advise you to solve the problem!
Overall, good concept! Congratulations!

I really liked the art style. Building the towers upwards was different for tower defense games. Good job with this entry.
Wow, really fun game I enjoyed it a lot. Its difficulty was also nice Really liked the idea to combine different towers. Also the cute enemy noises was nice.
