I found the game to be very challenging with the cave entry fee, I just keep running out of money when I try to dig up coal. The graphics are neat, but there is not much to the game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD45 → Timed Cave

Fun and challenging game. But it seems impossible to beat. I had fully upgraded gear and couldn't get past the little cave below the emeralds. I tried to find a way to get as far as I can, but I got nowhere near the treasure. Is there something I'm missing? Other than that this turned out to be way more strategic than I thought. Good job!
Fun game! It was nice to figure out which blocks were best to mine to get the most money, and where to place the bomb. It's also nicely balanced. After I bought everything I got stuck for a moment because I didn't realize you have infinite bombs at that point. But eventually I reached the treasure chest. Great job!
WOW, I really liked this game! The first two times I fell behind and got game over, but the third time I had developed a strategy, and made it to the chest. Perfect amount of challenge if you know what to do, a bit frustrating when you fall behind and desperately try to get enough money. Love the concept, it really makes you want to go further into the mysterious cave to see what you can find. The character is super cute. One of my favorites I've played so far this jam, it really captivated me. Would love to see this game develop into something more! @jandourek Use the bomb+ as fast as you can. The timing is still tough but you can make it that way!
A fun game, audio would have been nice but I understand how hard it is. If you work on this more I would like to see different paths as it felt like I had to do a very specific set of things in the correct order so that I wouldn't lose. Great job!
Really challenging game, but I still enjoyed it. Good game.
I like it. Very challenging. It's an interesting take on the theme. I think that audio would've helped provide more feedback for your actions. But for 48 hours it's very good
Hehe dat ending doe ;)
I thought the bomb was a one time use so took me a while to figure out how to proceed! I love mining games so this was really fun for me!
Cool, insanely pressed on the button :arrow_right:. It was fun dig by hands
Nice timed digging game mechanic. Two things I'd like to see there - a better cost/fee balance, and a clear display of being able to use the bombs multiple times in one run, as it was something I learned not from the game, but from the comment section.
I thought it was hard at first, but when i realize how powerfull the bombs are, the game started to be very fun and i was able to find the treasure! I 'd like to play it with some audio ;) Good job!
Cool game! I like how determined the miner looks when he is punching rocks and blood is coming from his hand! That guy is hard core.
I think my experience was a bit degraded by a weird technical issue - I could not see any of the text in the game. Here is a screenshot of what it was like on my machine:

I played through this issue the best I could. When I got time over and went to the buy screen I would just hit 112233123123. I knew 2 was time from the screenshot in the game description, and 3 was bombs. I feel like 1 was "rock-breaking speed"?
Anyway I got past the coal and got a pretty good sense of how it plays out, pretty cool! I seemed to stall out there, so maybe the items I was trying to buy were sold out or something? Whatever I had to do next I couldn't quite figure out and I seemed to keep ending on the same spot. Then I must have fallen behind the economics because the game went to the blank empty screen I see for game over.
Issue must be on my end, so I won't rate it according to the text problem! Just wanted to mention it happened.
Cool entry.
I agree with others that an indication that you can use a bomb multiple times would be helpful - especially since apparently you need not to do anything else at the moment, so the bomb button often becomes unresponsive.
Aside from that, it was a pretty nice incremental entry, though I wouldn't mind an extra upgrade tier for a pickaxe and/or a clock, to give players even more breathing room and opportunity to play around. The graphics were somewhat silly (in a simple, but nice way), the ending was... very themey. Too bad there was no audio.
