Hey :) I liked your game. The variety of upgrades was neat, and I love games with compulsive upgrade loops like this. Reminds me of flash games. I don't think I've played one where the upgrades reset, which was different. It would be neat if it was a little quicker to start - because picking upgrades when I hadn't played the game yet was a bit hit or miss. I also only got to wave 5 (I always got a difficulty spike on that one), but it would be cool if there was more interactions in each level, like walls to destroy or bonuses to collect. Overall, I liked it, and there's clear scope for expanding it into a bigger game, which I think would work even better.

Really fun and fast paced. I second everything that @red-stake says, (I even think we died on the same wave XD)

This was quite fun. I was going to say it didn't fit the theme but you opted out of that. The movement and controls felt very good and responsive, especially once you upgraded your tank. Was fun to play. Feel like some audio would've made it feel so much more complete. But otherwise a solid entry. Well done!

Definitely one of the most fun games I've played of LD51! There's a bit of an issue where once you've got all the enemies clumped up you can just kite them in circles forever, but that's a hard issue to solve for sure

@red-stake - Thank you! Yes I agree I dropped the player right into the upgrade screen with no explanation, I should've gave the player some time to familiarize with the game. I agree about the variety as-well, but you know how it is, jam time is never enough. Thanks for the kind words :)

@nullval - Thank you! Ye those waves get a really steep difficulty spike :(

@roitchie - Thanks! Oh I was battling myself so much with how to fit the theme, I had some ideas where maybe the tank would only last 10 seconds, or the waves so it would become a survival kind of game, but I just didn't like those designs, I wanted something like Papers, Please money management + strategy so you are always under pressure with low amounts but can make a choice knowing the waves beforehand. I wanted to get audio in but ye the game kind of glued on like the last hour haha

@rendahgames - Wow Thanks! Yes that's a very annoying issue I've noticed after playtesting it after the jam, I think tweaking their speed a little bit would've slightly improve it.

Cool gameplay and concept!

It was quite fun :) I wish there's music and simple sound effects tho.

Nice one, it worked well! The tank design reminds me of Battle City, a game I have fond memories of .

This is good, and I like the idea of being able to upgrade your tank and tailor its design to the enemies you're about to face, but I feel like it's underutilized, and you *really* need to re-balance the waves. The first four waves are practically identical, so there's no real incentive to experiment, and then the fifth wave finally throws a new enemy type at you but also *triples* the enemy count, which is just completely ludicrous. I must have spent ninety seconds firing at a solid mass of orange with no visible reduction in their numbers before I just got bored and stopped playing.

Was interesting to try the different tank builds and see what difference they made. Picking up the loot was difficult if you go blast heavy in the design, push me more to speed shot upgrades.

Plays really nice. Some blasting/firing sounds would do wonders. I like the range indicator, so you know where to aim, nice touch.

Too sad no theme :( Really liked the game, the economy mechanic was intense. Would've loved a little more enemy variation. Good job!!
