Really interesting concept for this theme, sometimes the game would bug out and I wasnt able to make my star bigger but i just relaunched the game and it worked just fine, loved the music for this aswell! I love when games take the theme to a whole different direction than other people do, Good Job!

Nice entry! I kept trying to build some cool fractals, but i could never *quite* figure out the controls.

One question on asset usage: Did you make the music?

chii 2024-04-15 17:49

@sirlich thanks!! D is quite trivial, F basically copies the entire current universe (screen), randomize the position, scale (always shrinking) and rotation, then puts it back on the screen.

And yes I made all 4 soundtracks used in this one :)

chii 2024-04-15 17:51

@congeesetador Thank you!! I haven't been able to reproduce that bug myself, but I will take a look if more players report of the same.

sirlich 2024-04-15 17:52

@chii Nice job on the soundtracks! They were good enough that I questions a bit if they were created for the jam :)

My girlfriend who's more musically inclined than me says the third track is her favorite.

chii 2024-04-15 17:56

@sirlich Glad to know that you guys enjoyed my music! I made the bgm for my other 3 LD entries as well, with mixed feedbacks (ratings). Curious to know how this one turn out ^^"

brandon-mcdonald 2024-04-15 18:00

Like others I had some issues with making the start bigger as it would just increase the size of everything. Movement was very smooth and sound was high quality! It would've been nice to have a controls screen in the game (maybe a UI menu?) or some kind of intro so that I didn't need to keep going back to my browser.

chii 2024-04-15 18:05

@brandon-mcdonald Thanks for your feedback! I'm speculating that it might've been a resolution issue. Would you mind sharing what your resolution is?

brandon-mcdonald 2024-04-15 18:36

I was full screen on my laptop which is 1920x1200. I recommend you set your canvas to "scale with screen size" if it isn't already

chii 2024-04-15 18:44

@brandon-mcdonald I'll check it out when I get some time. Thanks again!

Simple but amazing game, very experimental idea, ethereal graphics and music create a great atmosphere

wildcodeplay 2024-04-15 20:20

I like the experimental idea and the way how I can move star and change the star to smaller one - then it looks like the star traveled to far away galaxy :). Almost it looked like the moving star can be friend with every star or galaxy created.

bronino 2024-04-15 21:49

Absolutely not what I expected, but ended up chilling and creating something nice. Well played, this is a very original entry.

schizoid2k 2024-04-16 01:32

Music was great and really added to the atmosphere. I spent some time just listening to the music and relaxing with the stars. Well done!

metagen 2024-04-16 04:42

Music...is good.

brandsma 2024-04-16 10:52

As others mentioned, music is good. Also enjoy the fact that it is not Yet Another Run Of The Mill Summoning Game (YAROTMSG). Nice one!

ffffchai 2024-04-16 13:28

I enjoyed pressing F to see the random stars, and the mood is great.I also can't see the UI in full screen at 1920*1080 resolution. But it doesn't matter. Nice Job!

sodoj 2024-04-16 16:45

This was a very calming and relaxing experience. Sometimes the only thing you need is an empty canvas and a star shaped brush to express how you are feeling. Well done!

xuanqiuyun 2024-04-17 03:02

Beautiful games,It feels so relaxing.

nomus 2024-04-18 00:27

Cute little game! And either my keyboard is on backwards, or maybe I'm crazy, but for me 'A' was to make the star smaller, and 'S' was to make it bigger. Which is backwards from what the post says. Thanks for participating!

chii 2024-04-18 03:36

@parker8283 omg I just noticed I got the instructions wrong the whole time nooooooooooo haha thanks for pointing it out!

chii 2024-04-18 03:38

@nomus Yours is better than anything I came up with!

sariiger 2024-04-19 21:31

This game feels like an out-of-body experience. It's very relaxing and something I would've never expected to see. Good job!

diadem-games 2024-04-20 08:57

An interesting experience. It felt like there was a bug somewhere, so I was unable to do anything anymore. Still, good, relaxing experience among all the more action and horror oriented submissions!

affinitychris 2024-04-27 18:08

Cute! It's a neat little experience, with some nice music.

jamieok 2024-04-28 18:08

Just a nice little fun time  I spent a few minutes delicately placing stars of various sizes before I hit the 'Galaxy' button before spamming it to see the stars get smaller and smaller. A strangely calming and artistic entry, thanks for making it!
