A fun little game, though there were a few quirks I noticed. It feels a little annoying that you can't just click outside a menu to close it, and instead need to press the actual close button. Something that might be a bug, I got a huge hoard when starting a round, but it became just a slow trickle of enemies for a while, leaving me waiting to have something to test my newly upgraded combos on.
As for the game design, it took me a little while to realize I wasn't spending a currency to summon units, but instead working within a cap for them. After realizing that it became an interesting little puzzle game to figure out what each unit did and how to combo them effectively. Also, I love the transition effect between scenes, and great job with the screenshots and Itch.io page theming, they look great.
Overall a fun idea with a lot of visual flair and polish. The UI/UX could use a little work, and a simple tutorial would go a long way, but overall a really solid entry.

Three days to have such a completion is quite impressive, it seems that there are some bugs in the operation, the cursor will be centered after each selection, which is quite affecting the operation in this kind of game. The upgrade is a personnel cap which is interesting, and I don't need to use currency to summon.
is it possible to get a mac build? I would love to try this
@social-mushroom not at the moment. But we will try to make it.

Good vibe )
I liked the atmosphere in your game. Thank you!
I liked the art style, the nifty UI decisions, the entertaining gameplay. For a game created in such a limited time - a decent result! I would like to note that the stage is too dark, the figures of Summons and enemies are lost in the background. It would be nice to add some light! The system for accumulating and spending summoning and enhancement points is unclear. But I like that Summons intuitively find the nearest enemies, rather than disappearing because of an empty line. I'm also a bit frustrated by the inability to close the summoning panel by clicking in a free space. But these are minor things, the overall impression of gameplay is excellent!

Really nice game! Visuals are quite atmospheric and after you figure out game mechanics the game plays really well! Like others mentioned UX/UI may have some improvement, but for the game jam it is an impressive work!

Love your settings and game pacing. It feels like "eh, one more try".

I clicked some buttons and it spawned some heroes and they shot some enemies, sometimes :)
The graphics were nice, although I wasn't very able to see anything in the dark.
There was some music and sound effects.
The spawn points didn't seem to matter much.
The red X button was not very fun to press.
I didn't have much ideas how to progress or what to do better.
Thank you for stopping by at my stream :)
The game is really addictive. Despite all the issues with summoning menus (about closing with x button & cursor goes to the middle of the screen each time), I like clearly intuitive gameplay and smooth balance (I wish I had more enemies with the progression though, it became too easy to defeat them). Graphic is great and all the atmosphere feels very deep. Screenshot_2.png
very cute skull characters and clever gameplay loop.
The UI kinda seems not as smooth as the very detailed assets, but we all kinda speedrun in doing UI to focus on the game for gamejams so very understandable.
that's freakin awesome!! This is a very cool project. And the music is great! I would make it a little more terrifying, but even so, it's wonderful.

cool game it was challenging to manage summoning and upgrading it did take me a little to figure out how to play but once I did it was fun to try and survive for as long as possible great game if I had to pick a thing I would want to be better I think the UI could have been improved.
That's a really nice game for a jam! One problem I had (beside a bug with the cursor jumping to the center of the screen) is enemies being too dark and hard to see. I think it would have been cool to give them torches. That way seeing the wave of enemies being literally snuffed out would have added to the mood and coolness factor. Overall this is a very fun game!

really cool entry, and very impressive what you were able to accomplish in such a short time. I had fun trying out the various mechanics. I would agree with others that the game is a bit too dark but very well executed theme!
This is a welled polished game and it is fun. Well Done.

The game looks very polished and amazing for a jam entry, great job!
:information_source: Cursor jumping to center bug; the need to click the red cross feels like bad UX; the enemies are very hard to see and react to
Great game for the amount of time.

Great visual and audio, pleasure to play) I just didn't immediately understand what units are bought with, and the enemies running out of the darkness confused me.
Overall nice entry, really polished game, congrats!)
Good visual design! the animation of ghostfire and little demons are truly cute

It's an interesting concept, I like the art. Good job!
Lovely mood and top notch polish, as expected from you guys :D my only gripe is with having to close the menus for summon instead of jumping to one another seamlessly
Nice idea, very cute and cool graphics. I love the characters and the particles!
Only downside is that I am not sure what the "win condition" is (if there is one)
Otherwise it is really great what you have managed to do in so little time :)
Cool idea, but the fact that you can only remove the panel with a cross is a bit annoying. Otherwise, very cool result!

Thank you for your feedback. I recognize the UX issues with menus, and it was too late in development when I realize it. Our team is happy that you had good time in the game despite the menu controls!

Beautiful visuals + art. I definitely agree with many other commenters that having to hit X on the menu was pretty frustrating and got in the way a lot. My mouse would also snap to the middle of the screen at times, not sure why. But putting those issues aside, nice entry!

I had more fun with this than I expected. Aside from the issues with UI and darkness mentioned by others, I also found that my allies hanging out where they were after defeating an enemy instead of moving forward was annoying - especially when they fought an enemy right in front of the base and then they just hung around until dying instead of helping teammates further afield. But, #jamthings, I guess, haha. Overall, really good entry. I played this longer than most other games, I had quite a bit of fun!
@dxk2294 @maimai Thank you for playing!

You guys are crazy with your team size! I played this game on stream, was a bit confused initially, but got there eventually! I just don’t understand why the game is so dark, maybe units / enemies could have had lights on them so you can both see them and appreciate all the detail that was put into their character models. You can see what happened in the stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2130698362
@justcamh thanks for playing!
