Then Came A Stork by bonkibot 2024-04-20T15:03:26Z
that was really nice! i loved the flying mechanics, and it even had a story!

that was really nice! i loved the flying mechanics, and it even had a story!
very cool! i imagine it could use a little bit of balancing because it didn't take long for me to realize that if i just keep spamming "boar" they slowly flood the area and the vehicles cant get through. but really interesting concept nonetheless!
lol i wasn't sure it was going to end! i just kept buying more and more minions and apples and it was a constant battle to feed everyone! that was surprisingly fun!
definitely an interesting take on summoning! the hardest part was just getting items into the summoning circle, if i was too close or facing it i would just pick the items back up again (also i think the dirt hitbox is too large or something cause it just launches if i touch it the wrong way). on my second go around i did manage to finally use the vampire bait to catch what i believe was a shark! very difficult under the time constraints.
nice old school game! very hard too. i really like the particle effects when enemies explode! also out of all the games I've downloaded for this jam, your exe file is incredibly small! i didn't even realize it had downloaded at first. its the second smallest i played so far. the first being a game called "The Floppy Disk of Forbidden Creatures" but that's not really a fair comparison since it was a command line text adventure.
really funny game! i loved running around and hitting the wizards saying "no! bad!" lol
interesting little text-based adventure game! and so tiny! most of the games I've downloaded so far has been HUGE!
hey! we're URL neighbors! i named my game "summoned" as well so the website has the URL for mine set as "summoned-2"! (i guess you beat me to the upload lol) anyway, your game is really cool! but really hard too! the keyboard is definitely not the best way to play this but i sadly don't have access to a controller at the moment.
very nice game! it felt a little tedious at times, but it was a cool mechanic! also, you started learning blender 3 DAYS BEFORE THE JAM!?! Jesus! I've been using blender for years now but i remember how hard it was just starting out, this is amazing work!
very fun game! the particle effects are so pretty! i also love the upgrades being random each time. but i noticed if i level up while still fighting i usually hit one of the options by accident. not sure how you would fix that though, maybe making the player open a menu themselves to upgrade instead of it being automatic?
very pretty drawings! and the gameplay was pretty fun! i keep losing to the castle of doom
that was a really cute little game! i laughed when the musician said the kraken was his true love!
pretty fun! a little too easy, but still fun!
really cute game! i love how the cats gain a little helmet lamp when in the dark areas!
i didn't understand how the symbols related to anything, but i got it through blind luck.
very silly game! a little hard to get the hang of but pretty fun!
that was really hard! i only got to 3 gems, and they just keep coming!
very cute little game! the objectives were a little hard to follow since i didn't know you could break open stuff. but i managed to get to the frog picture!
pretty short, but still fun! it was a little too easy, but you did said you didnt have time to balance it.
that was pretty fun! the swarm mechanics were really nice!
it looks really good, but i cant figure out how to lay out the materials to summon more creatures. screensot.png
That was really fun! the first time i attempted the red one...

lol the frame rate just plummeted to 1 fps. that's a comical amount of enemies!
interesting mechanics! lot of stuff to remember too lol, i made a few mistakes.
i love the pixel art style! but it was really short. the longest part was the cave section everything else was just right in the open
really cool idea! a little short but still fun!
like others have mentioned its a cool idea but the spells are too long to remember, but it looks amazing!
i love when the objects come to life they are so cute! im using teh windows download version and i think i ran into a problem; the cutting board, tv, pc, and window don't seem to work correctly. im sure the cutting board was "i want to see my cousin key" and the pc was "someday I'll take over the world", and i think the tv was "whats the worst you can do to me?" but no combination of these would work for me. i guess the window could be "i wish i could see myself." but like i said no combination of these would work. also i didn't have a problem with the walking speed, but the LOOK speed is far too slow. i had to pick up my mouse and move it a couple of times to turn all the way around
yeah like the others said the exe version is missing the pck file. too bad i dont have a mac to test it on
very interesting mechanics, but its really hard! i feel like the turning speed might be a bit low. the farthest i could get was little over 6m.
the game looks really good! but its so fast! theres hardly enough time to zoom in to see the incident then zoom out to find another one
really cool! i loved how you get to choose what you are fighting! very difficult as you get more hearts but really fun!
very pretty! that last puzzle was particularly hard but i still managed to figure it out!
that was really cool! i had to cheat to see how to start the game, maybe animate the letters being drawn to give a more of a hint? i thought it was just a cool font at first. and i had to cheat again to see how to pass the last equation. i had completely forgotten about the square, i laughed when i read that. but overall, that was really fun!
such a simple idea! i love how the ambient music is affected by the words clearing!
very nice graphics! like the others mentioned the spikes were really hard to see and i'd have liked a way to heal myself but overall really cool!
i love the visuals! the game felt a little easy, the ghosts were way slower than my running speed so i just ignored them and headed for the book. also i noticed if you spam jump while running into a steep slope you can just keep jumping all the way to the top
the visuals were very pretty, and i got to the second level after a while. quite a few times i thought i had the right answer but nothing happened. you almost have to be right on top of these things to pick them up. but i couldn't for the life of me figure out the second level. i couldn't figure out the combination for the buttons nor what i was supposed to do with the objects that made the sounds when i clicked them. i noticed it needed to be box, well, then spear, but i couldn't figure out a 4th item to click on. maybe it makes more sense if i get the button combination figured out first? i tried brute forcing it but i didn't know how many times each button might need to be clicked. I tried for probably an hour and a half.
i did find a couple of bugs. well, a bug and a way to exploit it. the body doesn't seem to have a looking down animation, so his whole body rotates. i figured out if you switch to him while he's looking too far down he'll clip through the floor. i also realized that if you look almost that far down, he'll clip through any walls he happens to be in front of when switching back to him. i was able to clip through the door in the second level to get to the lab before figuring anything else out. but that didn't really help much either.
darn this game is hard! those little black guys just zoom down the trails faster than i can shoot them down!
lol i got hit with both traps too! it was so dark in there! very spooky atmosphere.
