Downloaded the exe, got "Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing? If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension)."
Hope it gets fixed, I would love to try this! The download was just the one executable, btw.

Cute game, and a fun set of abilities to play with! It took me a couple of tries to work out how to progress (didn't spot the mana bar at first, so I didn't understand it was about conserving resources), and (embarrassingly) I didn't realize I could jump, but once I got it, I was able to get going! It's always fun to be able to combine movement mechanics like this -- teleporting or summoning midair, etc. The summon block tutorial outline was a nice touch as well.
Thanks for sharing your hard work this weekend!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, thanks for making/uploading a mac build! I'm playing on that platform, so this was one of the few submissions I could try out natively vs on the web!
I'm seeing a missing .pck file error when I try to run the exe file

yeah like the others said the exe version is missing the pck file. too bad i dont have a mac to test it on
@jason-shapiro @james-greenleaf @cshep99 Thanks for letting me know, I was working from a mac so I couldn't test it. Hopefully should be working now!

Nice one! Thanks for including mac version :)
Hi, I would love to try out your game! I'm getting the same error as Human when I try to run the Windows executable. (I do see the .pck file in the folder though, named the same as the executable, so it's not the same issue as earlier.)
@human @artmuse62 sorry about that, I've updated it again and *hopefully* this time it should work-

Encountered same error as @human.
@avareii That's... weird, cuz I made sure I included the data_Desktop_windows_x86_64 file in the most recent upload. I'm gonna try to fix it but I'm not really sure what's wrong
@avareii Are you sure you've downloaded the most recent version? Because I tested it on a few different computers and the issue seemed to be fixed

Discord_SyLvcQO69k.png I got stuck. I like the music and it was nice there was a tutorial of sorts in the level design but I felt I had to waste some of the energy to try out the rit... spells... to figure out what they did.

Got it working! Some neat jumping puzzles, the graphics are cute and consistent, and the music is nice.
I got stuck in the same spot as @willby due to a combination of the invisible platforms and my inability to come up with a solution that didn't involve casting Summon in mid-jump, which I am very bad at.

I had thought at first that the invisible platforms were a side effect of the platforms I placed with Summon, but they turned out to be present anyway. They made the first part of this level very easy, at the cost of making the second half impossible.
Good effort, guys :) I enjoyed trying this one out.
Came here to drop my review! The game is pretty fun and I really liked the teleporting mechanic! It's a really useful and perhaps even a bit too OP skill at such a low mana cost, making it very easy for the players to exploit and spam. I played through the game several times and the game can be finished within a minute without platforming, summoning, or attacking. That is not to say that the game is not fun, but it might need a bit of balancing on some values. I really liked the lore and overall environment design, it feels very immersive as a sorcerer/wizard in an ancient castle (gives me Hogwarts vibes). Great job!
@willby @avareii I had noticed that bug but had no idea what cause it, finally figured it out though! Should be fixed
@andypang1010 Thanks!! Yeah it's probably not the most balanced lol, half our team had stuff come up so we kinda had to rush to get the basics down

the music was a bit repetitive and the screen stretched weirdly on my laptop (granted i have a weird aspect ratio on my screen) but liked the ambition. i wish the spell mechanics were a little clearer (i would run out of mana and i was never sure where i was aiming, there were no effects to actually show me an attack or where i was teleporting). extra points for technically having a branching narrative at the end but i don't think there was supposed to be a black screen... i imagine there was a video that was supposed to play. also fwiw you bound click to also advance dialogue and this had the unintended consequence of making me miss dialogue if i ever tabbed out and tabbed back in to the game
The dialogue box weirds out in fullscreen, so I had to play in windowed mode. The level design is repetitive and you get stuck on many things, forcing you to use teleport most of the time. Also it isn't clear where a platform will span. It is not clear at all that there is a restart level menu. I spent half a minute thinking that the game is softlocked when my mana ran out before discovering the reset level menu. I like the instruments in the music.

Beat it twice to see both endings. Was going to say it needed a restart but then saw you included it. Fine little game. Good job.
Nice little game with two endings. I liked different abilities, it was fun get stuck sometimes in the objects with the teleport
Music was fine from what I could hear, but there was some issue on my device as it made unpleasant cracking noise all the time. Honestly don't know what could have caused it.
Guess we need a sequel now to see mentor's comeback )

Nice game, needed some interations for play-arrounds but i enjoyed it, well done
Fun game. On level three (I believe), I glitched when teleporting past the light chain mid-jump and got stuck in the top shelf of the bookcase. (Unfortunately no way to upload images here.)
