It's fun! I hope I can see more flavors

jo-bettaque 2026-04-21 10:42

I really like the idea of shifting the frequency to control your character, very unique! The hitbox of the player may be a bit large, i had the hopes of "squeezing through" a few times but did not ^^

sariiger 2026-04-21 11:04

@lingzhao and @jo-bettaque glad you enjoyed it! About the hitbox, yeah, the shape of a U.F.O makes it a bit tricky to fit through gaps, the shift/dash mechanic was made to compensate for that issue. On a 2nd thought, a spherical player would've probably felt more forgiving.

My review if you're interested : I'm biased because we used a similar concept but in 3D so obviously I value the choices you've made, the game is simple but feels good and I love the wonky music, the dash is a good adition to the mix ! the only thing i'd say is i'd like to see the music adapt to the wave if a V2 gets out one day ! good job team !

kremlebot 2026-04-21 11:54

Great simple game idea but the music is really annoying

sariiger 2026-04-21 11:59

@kremlebot Sorry, it was my first time ever trying to compose music, and it's not a field I've ever been involved in.

sariiger 2026-04-21 12:02

@rhookx Thank you for the review! I'm definitely checking out your game on the concept, curious to see about a cousin game! I was also thinking of making the music adapt to the wave, but I feared it would get too annoying. Maybe I really should've explored that idea a bit more rather than just dismissing it. Thank you for the feedback!!

jk5000 2026-04-21 13:25

The idea is fun and I had fun playing the game. I agree the music is not the best but visuals is pretty good. Overall a fun little jam game. Well done.

mr-flower 2026-04-21 13:25

Honestly really nice use of the theme, having the entire movement system based on wave lengths was really nice and made it a lot more challenging to get through some gaps, but never impossible. Hitbox does feel a little big, but it's never too big honestly, good work :D

vadoha5 2026-04-21 13:30

Great addictive game

nullval 2026-04-21 13:37

Really inventive movement mechanic. It's so simple to grasp and yet SO challenging. The music is weirdly disorienting, which kind of adds to the games difficulty. the Upgrade system is great, but I often died before ever getting to Wave 1 T_T

kuviman 2026-04-21 13:43

accidentally teleported into the asteroid, but otherwise would have the WR. good game

itero-proto 2026-04-21 13:50

Not bad! Requires skill! 👍

bonedaddy 2026-04-21 15:15

I love this gameplay!

schizoid2k 2026-04-21 16:01

Unique and fun! I thought the music was pretty cool too.

graphene 2026-04-21 17:31

I'm not very good at this type of game and only got a 90 rating! But the game mechanics feel very fresh and interesting, and I love the sound design!

guardaro 2026-04-21 19:07

Very interesting! Manipulating sine graphs for movement is a concept that I haven't seen before, and it was neat and a lot of fun. I didn't love the music, but taste is subjective. Nice entry!

rinzu 2026-04-21 20:28

I liked the game. It wasn't available on the Ludum Dare page, so I played it on itch.io.

drainkid 2026-04-21 20:47

Cute little game, fun implementation of the theme, good job!!

oradimi 2026-04-21 22:05

Very interesting concept! I feel like it's a bit slow though. Props for trying to make your own music

podrez 2026-04-22 02:12

A fun take on Flappy Bird, and the music is great 😄

tkap1 2026-04-22 13:56

I think the game is too slow. It'd be more fun if you could dash, let's say, 5x as often (and make it harder if necessary to compensate). Lots of idle time as it currently is

garyglhf 2026-04-22 18:23

Потрясающая идея. Хорошая графика и музыка)

coda-highland 2026-04-22 19:00

If I had to give a criticism, I would say that the game is far too slow. It would be more fun if it were more reaction-based. But it's a complete package that's put together well, so good job in that regard!

echo-team 2026-04-22 19:19

It's a little slow indeed but I like the concept!

goodwayman 2026-04-22 19:20

I love the idea behind this game! Well done!

krakadushka 2026-04-22 19:48

It’s a really nice idea to use a sine wave to get around obstacles—very unique!

I think the energy bar is unnecessary, since the game is already quite challenging.

I also love the graphics. Nice cosmic vibes

sariiger 2026-04-23 10:53

@oradimi @tkap1 @coda-highland @echo-team Thank you for the constructive feedback! I also realized the game was a bit slow, but unfortunately last day was quite hectic and didn't have the time to fine tune the pace as much as I would've liked. Definitely not an excuse though, it probably would've already made a difference to allow the player to speed up the game with the press of a button. A missed opportunity for sure, I 100% agree with that criticism.

gecko64 2026-04-23 11:01

I like the idea of the game with the sine wave and shrinking and expanding, but I just couldn't get past how slow the game could feel at times. Other than that it was fun good job!

andrian 2026-04-23 15:06

Using a sine wave to control the spaceship is such a cool and creative idea! Really clever implementation of the 'Signal' theme. Great job!

sinemual 2026-04-24 05:14

Good game! Unusual idea!

loki-drams 2026-05-07 14:55

Fun game! I didn’t get a good score, but I have to try again later! Simple and short but suitable for a jam game. Good job !
