LD59 — Signal

Misplaced by manabreak 2026-04-21T13:04:24Z

dude such a good game, the music absolutely slaps, the mechanic of not being able to see is peak, and fits relatively nicely into the signal theme. Art is also simple, nice, and not confusing. The beacons are especially well designed. Humor was great, really good stuff. Keep up the great work :D

MOTHER by Parxer 2026-04-22T14:36:09Z

Man this is really good stuff. Love the art direction of everything, the shaders for some of those planets is beautiful, like with the black hole thing (forgot the name). took a second to fully understand what to do, but once realizing, it became so much fun looking for other celestial bodies and trying to establish a connection. Also the time management aspect of it was perfect, I love anything like that (favorite loz game is majora's mask, lol). A little sad that the timer wasn't more strict, but I understand that's for play ability purposes. Anyways great job :D

CODE RGB by cogcomp 2026-04-21T21:27:42Z

Honestly really cool stuff, very unique style from other entries for sure. I love that you can heal from staying in the correct colors, that's a great idea to use. The ONLY issue I really have is that the background was way too cluttered for me personally (that and I couldn't fullscreen which made it harder, lol). But, other than that, overall decent entry, good job :D

Speed Signal by pkenney 2026-04-24T16:52:43Z

Very nice game, I like the difficulty and simplicity of it. The sprites are also fantastic with some good audio, nice fun challenge to go through. Especially for a compo, lol, I just completely ignored art style for mine and did a basic black and white pixel design work. Good job on this one :D

TRAPTOMB by fullmontis 2026-04-21T15:48:39Z

very nice game, loved the mechanics, although a weird issue is that holding space gives a regular jump, but just tapping it absolutely launched me into the air. Not sure if it was suppose to give just a tiny hop and the code accidentally reversed it, but either way, very cool game. (I see what you did to get traction, lol).

Static by drtizzle 2026-04-20T21:49:56Z

Loved this game dude, it's not often to see a top down 3d shooter, lol. I love the atmosphere, the design of the critters, and the final countdown. NGL, when I saw the timer, I had super metroid PTSD kick in and immediately ran back to the start. Glad I played a second time to see the last fight. Also the radio towers being so tall was peak as well. Good job :D

Lock by mahalis 2026-04-21T00:03:47Z

Very nice game, like the visuals, music is nice, very fitting. My brain felt like it was trying to rack a 400lb benchpress this got me thinking, lol. Great puzzle game with some very unique mechanics that didn't make me feel like the only options were to guess every possibility. Great job :D

Metric Relay by xotraz 2026-04-21T12:54:05Z

dang, 120 levels is insanely impressive. I felt like the tutorial was lacking a little, but still barely enough for me to at least figure out what I was doing. Art design is also nice and simple, gets the job done. Audio is also nice and pleasant, still astonished about the 120 levels, holy cow did you sleep??? Anyways, great job :D

Network Bridge by Coda Highland 2026-04-22T19:20:33Z

Very well done, love the art style and the audio is well done (I cannot hear anything other than the pacman sfx, lol). The enemies are aggressive, especially the laser one that tracks you, good enemy to stay AWAY from. Overall enjoyed it and getting that scare of seeing what looked like a hundred enemies on the radar, lol. Good job :D

R.P.S.G.F. by mr.kvinter 2026-04-20T02:59:19Z

Wow, was not expecting an entry like this here, lol. Still really good stuff, there were so many things to think about that I liked, especially with how you could see your opponents options. The extra layer on the regular roshambo was also great. Some some lag issues half way through, but I'm sure that was just cause it was on a browser, lol.

Zone Out by ConradoClark 2026-04-22T02:12:43Z

dangggg, this is good stuff, happy to see you went for a rogue-like style game as well, lol. The horror was perfect, not even being able to see it for a while, just KNOWING it's following you is absolute perfection. Then seeing it is no let down, just a huge black void that is SLIGHTLY faster than you. I panicked when I saw it and was like "I NEED ENERGY NOW", it was so fun and well executed, I'm happy there are so many cosmic horror entries in this jam. Art work is also great as well. Overall fantastic job mate :D

Licence to Fine by IndigoWolf 2026-04-21T13:14:54Z

Honestly really liked it. Not sure if the driving was necessary, but it did make it more fun and chaotic, so that's always a huge plus. Especially cause I can legally crash into vehicles, for the good of the tv licenses! Good work on this one :D

Broadcast Alignment by Pedro M Marangon 2026-04-21T15:41:03Z

Very nice, short simple, follows the theme, has nice artwork. Honestly really good for a short compo. Although bro, why these people up at 3 am watching micket mouse rip off  Anyways, good job on this one, hopefully you can get more traction and rate more peoples games :D

Monolith by William Corrin 2026-04-20T21:00:48Z

Man, so many awesome things about this. Probably my absolute favorite thing, is just having the monolith in the distance, looming over you, as you slowly approach it. Music was great, combat was solid, particles effects were well used and executed (like with locating the meteorite. Overall fantastic. I kinda wish the bullets were fast, since some of the misses I had were cause I expected it to get to the enemy faster. But still, absolutely fantastic, and hopefully you get to add those extra features you wanted later on :D

Avalanche by JulienLussiez 2026-04-20T21:39:44Z

such a good game, I love all the details of the mountain goats, the wolves, and it was just fun to play. The art was great, the sound design was phenominal, the atmosphere was perfect, overall just a fantastic game. Hope you get to continue working on it and make it into your vision, you clearly got it :D

Blind Run by Rolly 2026-04-21T15:25:20Z

Really fun game, the writing was absolute cinema from handsome rat. The addition of new mechanics was expertly implemented, like how molt can interact with buttons as well, just done so seemlessly. I did encounter a bug on the fourth(?) level, where activating the platform while molt was on it would cause him to clip into it, consistently bumping into the platform itself. Other than that bug, great work. If I had a recommendation on how to fix that bug, use an area node (or the equivalent from godot), have a variable to check if he's "on moving platforms" and just parent him to that node. If that doesn't work you could try applying the same velocity and such. There's ways to fix it for whatever engine you're using. Good work on this game tho :D

Chatos Control by Frogravity 2026-04-21T02:29:25Z

Honestly, the combinations the possibilities is fantastic, so many funny and wild conversations that just don't make sense. Losing track of each conversation as well made it even better, as I truly was going based off of just vibes, lol. The art is also great and simple, music is perfectly chill, loved this stuff. Good work :D

Dracula 2: The Bloodening of Neo London by Guardaro 2026-04-23T12:50:50Z

Dude, such a banger of a game, cyberdracula felt menacing with his sporadic movement. Also the laser felt so good to use with that kickback, especially firing and then drifting to immediately get speed to run away. The steering was very aggressive tho, but honestly just a difficulty curve, lol. Also music was very fitting for this, incredible job on this one :D

Wave Rider by Sariiger 2026-04-21T13:25:48Z

Honestly really nice use of the theme, having the entire movement system based on wave lengths was really nice and made it a lot more challenging to get through some gaps, but never impossible. Hitbox does feel a little big, but it's never too big honestly, good work :D

Call Me by MrWarranty 2026-04-20T02:08:04Z

Honestly, really enjoyed this, the concept alone was great with having to juggle so many different things. Not usually one to play a puzzle game, but this was honestly a great experience, developer art work is always appreciated, lol. It was a lot of fun and innovating to me. Things that lacked particularly was the theme, the theme wasn't necessarily incorporated as it was used as a prompt. If that even makes sense. But granted, you had an idea and ran with it, still loved it, lol.

Call Me by MrWarranty 2026-04-20T03:24:49Z

@mrwarranty, Ah you know what, that's a good point, my brain is mush after spending an aggressive amount of hours on this jcompo. In that case perfect, lol. (glad I can update my ratings as well)

Pouring Rain by T C 2026-04-22T02:57:05Z

Very nice stuff, like the pixel art, audio work was great, dialogue was pretty good with characterization. Not too much concerning mechanics or complexity, but short time to even work on what y'all did. I am sad that the shapeshifters didn't play a role in the story other than exposition, but still. Fun playing and good job on this one :D

Saintfall by nkvz 2026-04-21T14:50:34Z

Honestly pretty good, it was really hard keeping tracking of person and testing the different sins on them. Nice animations and the UI is good. Sound is also very well done (especially the snapping). Although I don't exactly see what it has to do with signal, maybe something like "virtue signaling", but that's all I can see. Other than those things, good job on this one :D

Fae'calling by BarnabeWild 2026-04-20T20:38:02Z

Like others have said, the ground dither and ambiance was fantastic. It would've been cool if there was some sort of tiny little secrets to find to keep the hunt for the static ghost thingy interesting. Either way, still a nice, chill, and slightly unsettling game to play :D

Signal Relay by AkihiroF 2026-04-22T02:43:00Z

okay, a little confusing (no idea how to use no boosters so far, lol), but still a fun idea. Like one of the others said, doesn't really gain anything from being 3d. However, still a cool concept, nice simple puzzle that's still fun to play around with. Good job :D

FINDER-1 by richjbaron 2026-04-21T14:43:50Z

Dude this was so cool, the story of it was simple and great, the way that the geometry was never quite consistent, the fact that we never truly see what we're scanning. Some of the structures were unusually patterened, especially the second to last level where you're inside of something. It's so good, I'm sad that I was relying heavily on the hints, but that really did not contract from the gameplay and story of the game. I got immediately invested even with that first level. You did an absolutely fantastic job. Great work :D

Man On Fire by debugman18 2026-04-22T04:06:13Z

Really cool game, love the fact that we can just light EVERYTHING on fire, lol. I was NOT used to rotating the camera with e and q of all things, but still works. Art is also probably my favorite part, such a nice little game with fun exploration that requires some thinking of "what even is this?", lol. Keep up the good work :D

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-21T15:09:52Z

This was so much fun, ngl, the change in music scared me so much, but I got used to it and ready for it. It was an absolutely fantastic game loop, so fun to figure out what the bottom two dials did, and finding that sweet spot for the music. it was so fun, especially with the music being very popular and known ones, making it easy to know what the song should sound like. Great job :D

Signal Blast: Alien Shooter by udfblr 2026-04-20T02:30:06Z

Pretty good, I'm used to a higher mouse sensitivity, so the cap still feeling slow was tragic. But, the theme was incorporated nicely, wasn't a challenge, just for the fun of it. Like the simple art style as well. Keep up your passions.

V.P.N. by torte478 2026-04-20T17:55:18Z

That was really good, pretty nice and simple. Managing all the towers while trying to have them not get eaten up was fun. Fits into the theme very well, nice simple art, music was peak, so many good things about this one. I don't think I have any critiques honestly, lol.

Signal by InfinateFalcon 2026-04-20T13:48:39Z

Nice short little game, glad you got it finished and out there. That's usually the toughest thing, lol. Models were pretty good, fit into the theme pretty well all things considered. The only thing I could not get over was the y-axis being inverted for the panels, holy cow it took me a second to figure that out. Also there aren't any bodies in the forest, just don't look :)

Chaotic Night for the Lighthouse Keeper by Skoufakis 2026-04-21T14:57:49Z

Really nice entry, there's been quite a few lighthouse games here, but they've all been incredibly unique. It took a second to realize where I was suppose to lead them. At first I was leading them to the lighthouse (which doesn't make sense now in retrospect), but found out they just gotta go off screen. It was really fun trying to manage all the boats. The only issue I have is that if two boats are too close together, you can't control one and not the other, which lead to most of my losses, as I couldn't get the speed boat to turn fast enough from the fat boats. But other than that, great work :D

Plume Tactics by WeirdBitGames 2026-04-21T18:16:35Z

Like everyone else, the visuals are amazing and the little people just stabbing each other is cute, would gladly play if y'all could get this out :D

ESCAPE_OS by Sylvic 2026-04-20T03:07:18Z

Wow, first off, nice seeing a fellow godot user, lol. Also very cool idea, extremely difficult, even on easy, my biggest issue was forgetting to activate comms before clicking a room, felt unnecessary and made me lose a lot of people. Also because of the pixel effect over the screen, it was really hard to read some of the text that was on the ground level. But, that aside, I love the idea, especially for the player being a computer trying to protect the important people of a company, feels perfectly corporate greedy. Anyways, glad I got to play it, for as difficult as it was. Keep up the good work :D

Moon Moth by kanity 2026-04-20T23:45:46Z

Honestly really cool, sorry to here about the issues you were having, but honestly it still came out great. Finally understand the combination aspect of the waves after the second dream. Artstyle is really pretty as well, and the narration is nice as well. The little flute thingy that plays catches me off guard tho, lol. Great work :D

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-21T21:38:16Z

OH my goodness there's so many things I want to say about this. First off, I'm sure the ai is sincere about it saying "I want to be closer to my father" (paraphrasing cause bad memory, lol), but with the context of the music and everything else, it has such a heavy undertone of malice. I'm use to stories about creations hating their creator now, so that's where my mind went to with this one, but I got actual chills when it said that. Also the puzzle is pure genius, the tutorials give you nothing but context in a masterful way. The design is perfection as well, and just everything. I'mma keep trying to complete it without hints, rn I'm stuck on chorus, but still, so so good. Fantastic job my dude. :D

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-21T22:31:15Z

Just beat it, oh my goodness, this NEEDS to have more ratings, If I had my pick, this is probably my absolute favorite game out of any of the 50 some games I've played so far. Holy peak, best game in this entire jam imho.

SETI@dream by rubatotree 2026-04-23T17:21:35Z

Oh my goodness you actually got me crying. This reminded me so much of when I was a kid playing super mario galaxy, hearing about rosalina's story, looking for her parents. This game just brought me back in a way I haven't felt in a minute. Okay, mechanics, amazing, art, gorgeous, music, somberly fitting in a beautiful way, audio, tickles the ears. Everything about this game is perfect. Thank you for participating and for sharing this, I'm glad I decided to play another game after being burnt out from rating games the past two days. Perfect job and I hope to see more :D

Radiotower by Custodi 2026-04-21T14:23:35Z

Man that had my entire brain going from "crap WHERE'S MY MOUSE" when I'm going from spelling to trying to not die. Some of the enemies have insane movement that's a little too hard to predict honestly. Other than that, great game, loved the incorporation of signal and having an insane amount of multitasking to do. Great work :D

Downtown Signal by Absolute Garbage 2026-04-23T13:26:37Z

Very nice, honestly I loved the feeling of looking at the map, figuring out what places are worth going to for what supplies. It becomes significantly easier once you know where you can get supplies, but still plenty of fun. Also love the little message on the gun, lol. Making use of the radio was also really fun and nice to know where safe places to go are. I got the ending where we make it to the JFK airport. Good job on this one :D

Sea Star by stepa 2026-04-23T01:24:53Z

Dangggg, this came out so good, I only made it to the third item but MAN that scared the crap out of me. First off, I got so immursed in the exploration that when the alarms started going off, I immediately panicked forgetting I was in the sub. Also, seeing that thing above the third item was such good horror. Love the fact that you don't see it necessarily, that it just vanishes a few seconds later, and that it's human shaped, making it even worse. Sad I died drowning on the way to the fourth one, but I'll probably give it another try in the morning. Good job on this one y'all :D

Signal: UNKNOWN by basic_eagles 2026-04-20T18:09:58Z

Yeah, seeing the same issue as well, looked like good stuff, especially since there was a team and not just a soloist :(

POKER FACE by T4RAN 2026-04-21T15:33:21Z

I was NOT ready to get shot, but should've expected it with the GUN just sitting right there. The game is really cool, and just knowing if you have a good hand or not also really helps to enhance the game, while not making it impossible to play for non-poker players. Really awesome art, sound design, and incorporation of the theme. Great work :D

RETURN//NULL by ShadyShade 2026-04-20T21:12:23Z

So so so good, it was so fun moving through space, having that floaty feeling of everything. Also that black hole OH MY GOODNESS I need to read through your source code and "borrow it", holy cow it's so good. Plus I need to get good at shaders anyways, I am garbage, lol. Again, fantastic stuff :D

The Message by Matt Giuca 2026-04-21T12:49:14Z

dang, fantastic stuff, this is such a cool and unique idea of trying to decode the signal. Difficult but it was such a fun puzzle to solve. Fantastic job my dude :D

NEURAL ERROR by no_firing 2026-04-20T02:11:14Z

ngl, might be an issue on my computers part, but the game just would not load. Sorry I couldn't play it, it looked fun :(

NEURAL ERROR by no_firing 2026-04-21T13:31:10Z

Other than the insane lag caued by enemy deaths really cool stuff (glad I finally got to play it). Also I like that it just kinda autoaims, so you can focus on not dying and getting upgrades while the combat is still going. Glad I finally got to try it (take over the AI overlordssss!) good job :D

Morse Fishing by JonaGameDev 2026-04-21T17:25:29Z

Man, can't believe I was baited into learning morse code, sadge. But really cool concept, I'm not sure what others are saying about the UX, maybe you just updated it and fixed the UX design, but the instructions on the side were very helpful. Decently fun for people that are willing to learn morse code on the fly, lol. Either way, good job on finishing it and putting something out there, that's more than what most people do. Keep up your pashions :D

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-20T02:20:32Z

Very fun, the "dodge the bullets" made me immediately lock in. Was a little sad it was a repeat of the same 3(?) stages. Still fun tho, love the effects, granted, a little aggressive for the eyes, but still really cool stuff. (Don't know what it has to do with signals but you go, lol)

Invisible by Quanthon 2026-04-24T01:45:44Z

Very awesome work on this one! Took me a good second to realize that the flames "follow" you, really impressive mechanic that made solving puzzles unique and interesting. All of the puzzles were never too difficult, with it being easy to understand things just enough to get buy. Also art style is perfect, didn't realize mario got into tomb raider, lol. Fantastic job on this one :D

Propagation by MemoLoop 2026-04-23T17:36:36Z

Nice little game, incorporation of the theme is simple and reliable, music was pretty decent. Smooth camera movement might be something worth figuring out in the future. Also forgot to mention, I just played the ld version and not the updated version you have. So any critique you already fixed just ignore it, lol. Anyways, camera movement could smoothed out, synths could've used a little decay to make it feel a little less empty. But those are my only things, other than that it's a good and simple platformer with a cute ball as our player. Keep up the good work :D

Smoke Signals by WormKingBoo 2026-04-21T02:18:52Z

Such nice art, simple gameplay loop. I felt like it was taking a while for each progress marking of the cigarrete going down was a bit slow, but still really good stuff :D

Astroscanner by DiElecktrik 2026-04-21T13:45:00Z

Dude so many fun and cool easter eggs, the art work is always great when it's there, this is such a great concept getting all of these messages and not necessarily knowing if they're all true (in which case don't power off the simulation) or if there are things trying to deceive out there. It's so fun and cool and just makes me think the entire time what is out there in this universe full of death, star wars, and cake. Amazing work 5/5 in all categories :D

Electrician Simulator by Akuta Zehy 2026-04-20T20:17:59Z

Overall a great game, probably one of the harder puzzle games I have come across on this jam, lol. Sometimes it felt like I would stumble upon the solution, but the game is still great with having to figure out what each of the nodes do. Great job! :D

Through the Dark Forest by tweekus 2026-04-20T23:38:31Z

Super awesome game here, I was very unsure of what it meant by stars that don't feel right, but then I see the eye of sauron, lol. Great pixel art, some nice audio, love the little messages. Each star had me questioning whether it was an actual star or not. Also the idea of making sure that the beings of the universe don't know that we exist is such good cosmic horror. Peak game :D

The Lost Signal by Tineks 2026-04-23T20:06:47Z

Man, this is a surprisingly chill and fun game to play. Watching the forest around you, doing little minigames to decode the signal. Also I was not ready to see the alien while I was peacefully looking for a fire, lol. Also, absolutely LOVE that y'all took the time to add a camp in the distance with someone walking around, that was so cool and just perfect to see. Good job on this one :D (also music is a 10/10)

LOUD TOWN by qwesasuke 2026-04-20T18:07:54Z

Holy cow, probably one of my more favorite entries on here, the art style is perfect, the text audio is perfect, the ambiance is perfect, the combat is great, the movement of the enemies toward you is menacing. This is such good stuff, even the end with the "run away" got me with the tornado warning sirens, I had not idea what would be coming, but it was obvious I wouldn't want to be there for it. Honestly peak game

Follow the signal by cupofmilk7 2026-04-21T12:38:56Z

Man, really good stuff, love playing card games, so having this to play was peak. Art work is very nice, like the boss at the end, especially with it having a second phase. Very impressive for getting this done in 48 hours. Good work :D

Signal Loop by SMOLBIGBY 2026-04-20T17:46:56Z

Honestly good puzzle, a few of the levels had me stumped for a minute (especially that last one). The mechanic was nice and the constraint of 30 commands only (without the battery stations). Art design is also top tier. It did drag tho with having to wait so long for every step. But that's my only real complaint. Overall good job and keep up the passions and good work :D

Deep Fall by qmdev 2026-04-23T14:34:21Z

Dang, for a first game jam, this is quite impressive. The glitchy visual shader is amazing and is never too much because of the minimalism. Also I played this without reading the description just to see if I could get context clues on playing, and it's soo good. having the static grow slightly louder helped guide me immediately without even realizing it. The flash of the signal to guide the player is great, and the movement speed is just slow enough for me to keep moving in a direction without worrying about crashing into something. This is a really good entry, although all the white at the end legit made me close my eyes, I was not ready for that it was so bright. But other than that, a really good entry all around. Good job :D

MORSPELL by arieare 2026-04-20T13:49:56Z

Sorry dude, games restricted, idk what could be in there, but the cover image looked cool :(

EmailPostman by Jacat 2026-04-21T13:21:25Z

Really cool and unique puzzle, I like that the signal determines everything, including movement, lol. Really nice puzzle with some cool mechanics, 5th one had me stumped for a while, lol. Art is nice as well, audio design is satisfying, overall great job :D

Fading Light by mister_king 2026-04-20T02:40:21Z

Honestly great, this game absolutely STRESSED ME OUT, but it was so fun and rewarding figuring out a method on the fly and winning. Holy cow, actually so fun and incorporated the theme in a meaningful and unique way. Wasn't sure what could be brought to the table other than technology based games (if you know what I mean), but having the lighthouse as a literal signal for ships is genius. Only issue is audio, the water thunk sounds are aggressive, lol. But other than, honestly great game.

RedFlag:SOS by ReiMi 2026-04-23T14:27:25Z

Very awesome game, I love the sort of panic that comes when you aren't quite able to get enough of the waiter's attention, like "NO GET BACK HERE" and then he walks off assuming that you don't get the timing right. Art style is great, audio is perfect, the idea of signal is fantastic as well. Overall just a fun game that feels stressful despite the seemingly calm situation. Great job :D

Without Brakes by Shernik 2026-04-20T19:50:58Z

Very nice game, like others have pointed out, it kinda becomes impossible at one point (without some crazy luck). But overall good entry. Plus, can't complain about some good pixelation effects :D

Signals of God by Geeni 2026-04-22T02:33:22Z

What the frick did I actually just play, this is the most symbolic loaded game I've seen with so many things that make no sense in the best way imaginable. Okay, I just gotta rattle this off before I get to my praises. Who was that bamboo king? am i hallucinating or did we cut off the LEFT arm of the last sinner before taking god's RIGHT arm? why was god's left hand in the stomach of the beast? was it cause humanity died because of nuclear weapons, and the beast was "full" of all of humanitie's deaths and vices? Was there a NUCLEAR WAR?? why was the slug tied with the quote "god made man in his image" (paraphrasing in game)?? What was with the no sleeping mask thing?? Stone tablet????? Also why is it when we tried getting closer to god, we fell in the pit, only getting farther and farther away?? HUH????

I need to know what drugs you used while making this cause I NEED that stuff. Holy cow, mechanics are simple, story is narratively mysteries (not confusing), the art is just something else I can not describe it other than pure horror and peak. The audio was aggressive (in a good way, lol, except for the monkey he was OBNOXIOUS). like what? Genuinely gonna be thinking about this game cause of how much I loved it, holy cow. Fantastic job on an amazing piece that came out of no where.

Void Signal by Kandvise 2026-04-24T02:00:41Z

Okay, game is very good, the idea of using noise as your visual is fantastic, also made me really focus on the dark areas, something that isn't usually done when it comes to color theory, the static made it work. Now then, it's not controversial to say that the monster standing in the distance and dissappearing isn't usually effect horror (imho). But, what y'all did was interesting and got me. Instead of him just appearing in the trees once and vanishing for a while, he appeared again, and again, and again, and then he appeared in the way. That got me, idk why that got me, it felt like he was toying, and then it looked like he was about to approach just standing in front of you. Something about that just made me say no with how much he taunts us. I'm sure unintentional but REALLY affective when I was playing, lol. Good job on this one and the heart beat mechanic is metal :D

pretty nice game, I like the simple pixel art, the enemy attacks are varied in a very fun and unique way. Although something that detracted from the fun was that the shooting was weirdly inconsistent, I'd be shooting and the bullets would randomly stop shooting but the audio would still play. I assume this is just a bug, not sure if it's an issue with frame rate or something else, but worth trying on a laptop that's weaker. Other than that, really fun and great concept, especially with being able to deal more damage to enemies when they are closer, super good risk-reward system. Keep up the good work :D

Signals From Somewhere by BrittleLizard 2026-04-20T20:28:20Z

Very nice entry, I like the idea of trying to find the right signal through trial and error. I do have to admit I wasn't able to get past that third one with the disconnected sounds. But other than that, I think the game is great (for as little of it as a played).

Read My Signal by Shivvvy 2026-04-21T16:09:24Z

really awesome stuff, nice and cozy game of just picking up what the customer is putting down, lol. Audio is also nice, with some excellent art work and straightforward mechanics. One of my favorite details is the animals speaking in a different language, putting another layer of thinking on everything else. Really awesome stuff. Keep up the good work :D

Qwadrant by glem-fumeno 2026-04-21T15:54:09Z

Very nice and interesting game, Felt like the signal part didn't play too heavily into mechanics, but the game is still very good to play. The amount of times I died at the beginning was insane, lol. Good job tho and keep up the good work :D

Hey, thanks for the headsup, legit no idea what happened. Should be a link now to the itch.io page and the files should be here now as well.

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T03:36:37Z

Thanks @richjbaron, ngl I fully thought the theme was split, so when I saw the theme was signal I just took the concept and pushed it into this, lol. Thanks again :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T03:41:44Z

@nathmate ah that's a good point, they do do a hitscan, I had the little spark as a telegraph, but it wasn't much of one. And yeah, tragically the dash was just a thing to add cause dashing, lol. Thanks for the feedback.

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T14:39:24Z

@zezinhoesr, lol, that would be fun, something I might consider when I'm finished with my current steam game (don't have a page for it yet, so I can't share). It would be fun to make a 2d pixel game like this and just flesh it out. Cause yeah, there were a LOT of missed opportunities. Still significantly better than my last game jam entry (no joke, that one was not playable).

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T14:42:05Z

@mrwarranty yeah, it didn't occur to me that I never explained it in game about the router mechanic. Wish I played more into it, but hey, greatly appreciate the feedback. I was gonna do an ending boss, but making 10 separate rooms took up most of my non-existant time, lol, so I just looped it with each loop increasing enemy stats. Also the weapon switching could be because you hadn't gotten those weapons (you start off with only the shotgun, then get the minigun and sniper). But it could've been just a bug. Thanks again Mr :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T20:48:13Z

Lol, thanks @nbumgardner, one of my focuses was on detail to bring it to life a bit more. And it's playable, lol. Thanks again for playing it mate :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T21:41:56Z

@drtizzle Thanks mate, yeah the cursor is something that I didn't even think about, but that's a really good point, lol. Also yeah, gunshots are lacking in audio, still need to get gud at that stuff, lol. Thanks for playing :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-20T21:56:01Z

@podrez definitely true, those big areas were made in the span of like 5 minutes each (not including accidentally deleting the navmesh cause I forgot to make it unique for other rooms, lol). Thanks for playing tho :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-21T00:15:41Z

@dingbat thanks dude, glad to hear that you enjoyed it, transitions are slightly long, thinking about that now, lol. You can take damage, there is a provision that enemies have a delay so they can't immediately attack you, but I forgot to apply that to the moving routers, so yeah, lol. Thanks again tho :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-21T17:47:38Z

@jerrywest Yeah that's true, could've made some upgrades like health, piercing, and pellet count repeatable upgrades. and yeah, audio was lacking for shooting. But thanks for playing and for the critiques :D @dywanix thanks, glad you got to play :D @batnik thank you! sorry you couldn't make it past the third room, you probably would've hated the big skull enemy the other people have mentioned, lol.

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-21T18:13:18Z

@makintosh true, general art was the last thing I was thinking of (hence the black and white pixel art), if I come back to this, first thing I'm updating is visuals. But hey, thanks for playing :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-21T22:33:34Z

@avhatar lol, I'm sure it'll be fineeeeee :) Although I didn't think about embedding the game so people didn't have to be worried about viruses (FOR A GOOD REASON) wouldn't play it. I'll have to figure out embedding

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-21T22:35:55Z

@weirdbitgames aw, thanks mate! I hate having to read a bunch of instructions pre-game, so I tried everything I could to make mechanics obvious. Also fun fact this was made in 2 days for the compo (I need sleep desperately), so happy you got to play it. Certainly taught me a lot :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-22T02:05:30Z

@conradoclark thanks mate, I had a strong desire to make a roguelike and went through a few iterations making use of the prediction poll. Glad you had fun playing it :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-22T13:12:36Z

@johndare, @furyohfury, @juyr, @gecko64, @w2k, @planetary, @hibiki, @aannnnman, @faketrap thanks for playing yall! And yeah, this game got no play testing for balancing. Although I’m sad I didn’t remember that there’s an extra hour given for submitting games, so I could’ve spent that hour playtesting the rooms  but still I got it finished with a slightly smaller scope compared to my last game jam, lol. Plan for the next jam is to actually incorporate playtesting. Thanks again for playing this mess :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-22T17:58:59Z

@meta-link thanks, pretty happy with the idea, wish I utilized it a bit more (a brief idea I had was being able to push the router around, but didn't have the time).

@gubo lol, glad it looks "polished", I'm hoping to go through all the feedback and make it a truly polished game.

@wormkingboo Aw, I'm so happy that you're enjoying it and trying to beat the final room. I definitely tried to make that room screw with the player. Again it makes my day seeing people enjoy it for all of its flaws

@rolly Tragically no, there is no end, I did make it so every loop the enemies had buffed stats, but that's just cause I figured I'd make it endless like most rogue-likes I've played. Believe me I wanted to add a boss, but I left that at the bottom of my requirements list so I can focus on making plenty of levels for the player.

Thank y'all so much for playing, I can't believe the game has made it this far so far:D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-23T01:28:27Z

@coda-highland yeah, tragically I did not have track pads in mind, and yeah, the idea of balancing is pretty much non-existant

@infinatefalcon thanks, yeah it didn't occur to me that I could make the damage and health boosts repeating upgrades, that would've helped out so much more with replayability. But honestly, most of my focus was just on scoping and getting a coherent idea. My plan for next LD compo is to hopefully limit the scope just a little bit more to really focus on the mechanic of the game and making it simple and replayable. I have too much fun with fighting/shooting games, so that's usually my default for ideas.

Thank y'all for taking the time and playing as well, glad y'all had some fun :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-23T17:25:29Z

@ukulelefury Aw, thanks for playing, happy that you had fun!

@coda-highland lol, yeah I'm slowly learning that and incorporating it into my other projects. Game deving is my passion, just can't let it be a burden.

@ugly-robot Yayyy, glad that you loved the game, I've been inspired by a few games for this one, glad you played and enjoyed it!

@smolbigby yeah the weapon switching wasn't something I thought of, but I'm already working on an update that addresses all the feedback I've been receiving. The weapon switching was one of the first changes, lol. Glad tho you still pointed out its importance.

Thank y'all again for playing :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-24T01:23:34Z

@plutonicrock @christina-antoinette-neofotistou Thanks, glad y'all had fun playing it :D @animaster yeah it could 100%, The only kind of balancing idea was vibing with the numbers, lol. 0.5 damage per shotgun pellet compared to the sniper's 5 damage sounded balanced, forgetting the shotgun has 10 pellets (dealing 5 damage) allowing it to be a faster version of the sniper. Definitely gonna do a lot of testing in the future once I'm reinvigorated. But thanks for playing and for the feedback :D

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-28T01:40:37Z

@henk im pretty sure the one thing that it lacks for it to be a rogue like is randomize rooms. It’s still got (like you mentioned) the random upgrades. But aren’t roguelikes primarily about playing a run to get the highest score, losing it all on death, and having to go through randomized situations? Other than enemies not being random. I’m pretty sure it checks the boxes for a roguelike? If there is something I’m missing to make it a proper roguelike (besides the randomized enemies, that’s something I’ll include later) then I’d love to know.

Signal-Tied by Mr. Flower 2026-04-28T12:30:28Z

@pimeko hey thanks for playing. Balancing was something I just vibed implementing, so hopefully in the future, I can balance the game just right.

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-22T03:56:43Z

Very awesome stuff here, the movement feels nice, the pixel art is glorious, the audio and ambiance fits so so SO perfectly. Having the side mission to collect the acorns is also fun. It's a nice short level with some fun dangers. However, my one GRIPE, is the underwater movement, sad to say that was annoying to move through, but, if y'all continue this game I'm sure that'll be an easy fix. Some fixes with that could be holding up moves the player consistantly up instead of having to spam tap, the drag horizontally is way too much. But of course, not a lot of time to polish something so miniscule like that, huge props on the art work again, absolutely gorgeous. That was the only issue I had tho, really nice and chill game to play, keep up the good work :D

Signal surfer by poddub 2026-04-21T13:48:00Z

Very nice game, it's a really simple mechanic, but being able to land the ball just right felt so satisfying every time. Also that transition screen into the game was perfection, lol. A little difficult at the beginning but still really good suff. Keep up the great work :D

ULTRA-RADAR by ZezinhoESR 2026-04-20T03:14:09Z

Very nice, I like the simplicity of it, the rader idea is fantastic and fits perfectly with signal imo. The background getting a ton of noise like that was hard on the eyes, but there was enough contrast to make it still playable, lol. Really good idea, I don't think I can emphasis that enough. Audio works well, overall I enjoyed. Keep up the passions and good work :D

what's the signal by Makintosh 2026-04-21T14:02:06Z

Dude, this gameplay is practically perfect to me. Being able to keep upgrades and stat increases between losses and wins is so so cool. The upgrades are great, the combat is nice and easily understandable, the visibility mechanic is pure amazing and makes exploring the forest in a top down setting feel amazing. There are so many things that I loved about this, if this was a steam game, I would throw my wallet at this to see it develop and fix the few tiny issues it has. The biggest issue with me was just lag, ever move caused a little delay, but honestly, the game was so fun I didn't mind it. Peak and perfect game, absolutely loved it. Keep up the good work :D

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T21:30:08Z

Okay, so many cool things, as unexplained as the story is, it's still enough to give an idea of what's going on. The mechanic is genius (assuming you know just enough about audio design, but even if you don't experimenting still lets the user figure it out). Honestly, the only game I'm giving a 5/5 in every category, absolutely amazing with so much potential.

Buller than Bull by gubo 2026-04-20T03:32:33Z

Very nice stuff, it took me a solid second to actually read what the text was saying each time, but still got it. Art work is beautiful, although had an issue with all the UI elements not scaling on the itch.io page. Other than that, audio and art work were the best parts, the signaling was also well executed. Very simple and nice to play.

Signal Lost by lanatra 2026-04-22T02:03:55Z

Okay, played once, a little confused, played a second time and unintentionally got hooked. There's something so satisfying about building this network, seeing a gray spot where packets are being lost, putting a tower there, and then new paths are made near those gray spots, where it becomes an infinite loop. It's sooo good and so seemless. So much so, I may have filled out the ENTIRE map with nothing but white.Screenshot 2026-04-21 220113.png

Very good job on an amazing game loop, sad there's no satisfying audio of putting the towers down (unless my audio on the site is bugged). great job and keep up the good work :D
