Takes some getting used to, but I think this wound up being one of my favorite entries in the jam so far.
Cool concept. I'm not really into tower defense games generally, but I like the idea of strategizing through building outward from a few central points. Unfortunately I think at least the browser build might be somewhat unstable, because after a little while none of my shots would fire, so I lost very quickly and was very confused. My healthbar also wouldn't visibly go down when this was happening. I was able to reboot and beat it quickly, but something to keep in mind if you want to expand it. I think the idea has a lot of potential!
@23edsa @beats I updated the page with some information if you would like to try it out again.
@jvdwijk Can you tell me what platform you were playing on and if anything in particular caused the freezes? There really isn't a lot going on under the hood, so it shouldn't be hard for most people to run
The presentation is top-notch, of course. Unfortunately I'm just really not into the "just walk around a big room" game design it's got going on. It feels a little tedious to lose all my progress and have to restart in the same map with the same set pieces. I could see this being expanded into something super cool, though.
