LD46 — Keep it alive

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-22T17:54:56Z

Good job on the atmosphere and drawn art! Feedback is clear and the mechanics are very clear. It's a nice touch on the clicker game genre. Not sure it's a good idea to let the player continue playing after the story is completed as it creates expectations to have something more when there's nothing else to do. Good job delivering a complete experience!

R.A.Y. by Dsn 2020-04-22T17:19:47Z

Interesting concept. Feels like there could be more interaction possible with the button. I tried holding it down again later, expecting to have another reaction. The "thinking" section was indeed a bit unclear, but I liked the fact that since you only have one button and the players only know of two ways to interact with it so far, they will most likely try to hold the button down effectively leading to the "you won't shut me down" reaction. Good job on that :)

LD55 — Summoning

Summon craft: Ritual Simulator by Xakkar 2024-04-18T16:28:09Z

Great job with the art and music! The theme is right on too and I like how you have choices to make and conversations that have a short term impact. Some of the dialog choices also made me laugh hehe As some have pointed out, I think its only missing a few guidance to be able to narrow down the ingredients necessary, especially the amount of each. For example with the healing potion, clearly I understood that I needed the flower for healing potion, but do I need 1,2,3 or 4 ? I suspect I need also other ingredients that are used for items summoning, but it leaves us to waste a large amount of precious time to trial and error the combinations.

BLOOD WRITES by jelch 2024-04-21T21:36:01Z

Either I didn't understand what to do or it was bugged, but I couldn't manage to complete the first level. I tried reproducing the symbol but always failed. Nonetheless, the mood, music and theme were all on point. Great job! Wish I could've gone further though.

Sandtown by UnidayStudio 2024-04-17T17:19:19Z

Impressive tech, that's for sure. I know it's merely just a tech demo, or a relaxing building experience rather than a proper game, but to me it is a bit too ambiguously sitting in-between those two experiences. Meaning that if the goal is just to let the player build as it wishes, why limit with randomized assets ? The randomized aspect feels like it was part of a challenge for the player to do as best as possible with the randomized elements in direction of a goal, but we don't have it. Sorry I didn't mean to sound harsh. I think you have a great foundation for a building game or a building sandbox. I think you just need to pick a direction and run with it!

Trago Seu Amor De Volta Em 7 Dias by luuchowl 2024-04-17T18:20:04Z

Thanks for introducing the rest of the world to a Brazilian superstition! And also exposing me to Brazilian Portuguese words hehe. I was going to say that it's a shame it is not available in English before playing, but I actually liked that it wasn't. Especially since you don't need it to figure out the puzzle's solution. The game looks very nice. The effects on the evaluation of the summoning objects is well done and very pretty. I must say it is impressive that you added a tutorial which highlights the different features and how they work (even though I didn't understand much), but the gameplay was clear enough to me to figure what was expected of me while playing. Good job once again!

Cold Case: Consecrated: Consequences by squimmy 2024-04-21T21:46:18Z

Interesting monochrome design, it really stands out. I like the idea of summoning ghosts to get more information and not know what you'll summon until you do. I managed to summon the friendly ghost as the first summon though. I think it would benefit from at least a little puzzle or challenge before being able to stumble upon the end condition randomly. But overall great entry! The summon sign animation was really well done and thanks for the color palette choice and multiple options.

Call to Summon by KenForest 2024-04-21T22:37:08Z

This makes for a really good base for a more fledged out game, congrats! The atmosphere is really good, the audio integration is well done and I find it visually pleasing. Love retro PS1/PS2 style. You really nailed the "liminal space" vibe with the frog room! And that glass wall looked really good.

Summon Kid by juninhostrife 2024-04-16T16:53:57Z

Great concept! It shows a lot of potential for complex puzzles simply by adding a few summonings and puzzle ingredients. Like others have said a few more puzzles or at least one complex could've sold it even more. Also thanks for implementing volume sliders.

WIP (actual game name) by ThomasVenner 2024-04-18T16:51:41Z

Cool idea and nice twist with the narrative :) Thank you for implementing a respawn system instead of restarting the level! I was expecting to sadly have to restart from the start on the last level when I failed the last jump and was pleasantly surprised. The environment, menus and interactions are all super clear. I managed to pass some puzzles by somewhat bruteforcing the physics and not sure if it was the right solution or not (dropping the cube next to me and then the pallet in-between and moving before it touches the ground so that it moves the cube too)

Burn with me by Nozomu57 2024-04-21T20:05:28Z

Congrats on a great entry! The theme is well used here as you perform the summoning of the creature to have it join your deck and points and effects are applied the moment you summon (play) your card. Clever! The sacrifice mechanic felt harsh at first, but really balances out well once I understand the stakes better. Will keep an eye out for the Steam release :)

How to Summon a Cat For Dummies by LChaves 2024-04-21T21:19:58Z

So cute! Easy to pickup up and understand. I often shout "nooo cattt don't go away!" haha I also loved that you could push objects with other objects so you could under a mistake for example or adapt over time.

Summoner's Clash by Hector 2024-04-18T16:36:30Z

I ultimately didn't understand much of what I was doing, but the animations are pretty and I won my first match haha Cool idea to have abilities be the result of combinations and that you then have to do with what you have and adapt. The guessing part I'm not sure if its meant to be guessing our possible combination results or guessing what the other summoner will do and thus attempt to counter it. Also the fact that it's real-time leads the player down the line of trying to brute force by simply doing as much as possible as quickly as possible, which might counteract what you're trying to do with the game.

Summoner's Clash by Hector 2024-04-18T16:38:29Z

Also, obvious feedback, but it would help you and your player greatly to have a description and screenshots of the game on here (LD page) and on itch.io :)
