I love building games, and the graphics + music of this one is adorable, too bad that placing the items is confusing because there's nothing indicating it, but overall lovely!

I follow you on YouTube and I'm Brazilian Congratulations on the game, it's incredible. Well planned, well done, without theme and the graphics are wonderful. My game I've seen so far, good luck with the game jam!
Very good, I loved the idea, the background music is very relaxing, and the sound effects too!
I'm not good at building but at least I can make floating trees
An indicator where to place an object would be at handy. I also found that it is hard to build a beautiful and coherent buildings because you can't undone a step and you can place a building on trees which is not logical. Other than that, the aesthetic are great and the sandbox game is very lovely.
Pretty calm and relaxing. Stands out from the rest of the games. :)
What I do like about it is the aestetics and relaxing feeling. I would probably enjoy it a bit more, if there will be less this random dragging experience, which is quite unpleasant (to me at least) and making the whole experience challenging, tho it shouldn't be.
@erlioniel very valid feedback, thank you a lot! What made you feel like there was too much "random dragging"? What could I do to improve it in your opinion?
Quite enjoyable and relaxing game. Graphics and sounds are to the point. And the fact that the game is made on a self-written engine is very impressive!
@unidaystudio I think it would be way better to pick a brush and then draw with it, yes maybe with a bit of randomness (like a few possible models for each tile or smth), rather dragging every single block. If there will be a color-picker to customize the model even more - it's even cooler.
Overall I think the whole experience should be quite relaxing.
As an idea how to make it a bit more game I'd consider to have some blocks / interactions between blocks and will let user to build with some limit to get the highest score or smth like that. But tbh just a relax building will be as well quite pleasant experience
Impressive tech, that's for sure. I know it's merely just a tech demo, or a relaxing building experience rather than a proper game, but to me it is a bit too ambiguously sitting in-between those two experiences. Meaning that if the goal is just to let the player build as it wishes, why limit with randomized assets ? The randomized aspect feels like it was part of a challenge for the player to do as best as possible with the randomized elements in direction of a goal, but we don't have it. Sorry I didn't mean to sound harsh. I think you have a great foundation for a building game or a building sandbox. I think you just need to pick a direction and run with it!
I liked the idea behind this game and spent some time building a little castle.
I think it would improve the cozy vibe if the player could choose and remove any building element without having to push the randomize button all the time.
Also, a roof with a square base would nice to cover some of the cubes.
Otherwise, I was happy to see a building game in this jam!
It turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for when I saw your post! It's so charming
I'll try to make something pretty to set as my desktop background as well xD. Cheers from Brazil :v:
You did put love in it. As for me it's not that much fitting the theme but you did put tons of love into it. I like this genre and in this game everything fits and resonates it's chill town building core.
Obviously not so much time to add more to it but for me there was missing one small addition - destruction of objects which are not on another solid object. For example when we delete something below.
Thanks for making this!
I agree that it would be nice to have an indicator of where you're actually putting the object (it was mentioned before).
Unlike some other commenters, I enjoyed the randomness - I think it helps boost creativity by giving you a limited set of options to choose from. That way, you can "go with the flow" more easily. That said, I do think you should add a "creative" game mode where you can choose whatever you want in case you are planning to develop this further.
The graphics are lovely and the sounds relaxing, exactly as they should be  I mean, except for the "explosion" sound of the bomb, that felt a bit out of place (too digitally-sounding, I guess?). Also, just thinking out loud, maybe the bomb object could be replaced by a less violent option, like a hammer? It would be more fitting for the relaxing mood you're aiming to establish.
Overall, great work, I enjoyed playing! It reminds me of Townscaper (maybe that's where some of the inspiration came from?).
Despite being a simple game everything is very polished! graphics and sound design combine together to make the experience very pleasant and relaxing! The only thing I think would make the experience better was if I had access at any time to the building blocks instead of being randomized and would have liked a little more variety, but it's excellent either way! Very good!!
A good, relaxing 3D game that doesn't take up too much storage space? That's not what I expected, but I commend your efforts.
Interesting city(town?) building game. Relaxing and cozy. And only 10mb!
Very nice game! It's a very fun and relaxing experience, the graphics are very beautiful and the game ran very smoothly on my PC.
It's incredible that it's only 10mb and it's also incredible that you made it in your game engine, the Cave is evolving!
Anotação 2024-04-18 161255.png One thing that confused me a little is where the objects will appear, it would be interesting to perhaps have a shadow or an indication at the location.
Good job!
