Cool Action-RPG but I don't see a summoned sword as a tiny creature. I think the music is overlapping when finishing/switching levels. The hitboxes are a bit strange maybe.

I like the style and the ability rotation gameplay of giving yourself buffs to counter enemies.

Thanks for the feedback!

Level 8 was not messing around, I liked it.

Hello!

Your game is very nice!

Trying to avoid the attacks of the enemies and win a level is very satisfying (I managed to win level 8!)

But I find the hitbox to attack acts randomly (sometimes I don't hit when I thought I would hit and conversely I hit when I thought I wouldn't hit)

But otherwise very good little game!

I'm not pretty sure about the "theme", but cool little game. First game is a good tutorial. Hitbox are not very intuitive. It's was funny to avoid fire ball ^^

Definitely a fun experience which could evolve into a genuinely good game! :) I enjoyed the core gameplay, here are some things that I think would make for an even better experience: - if the walls block the player movement, they should also block most enemies's movement & attacks - a hit box indicator for attacking would be great, it felt a bit wonky at times - the onboarding is nice and slow, but I dont think you need a whole level for each of the enemy types - would be great to be able to activate the summons (heal, attack, dmg reduction) via keyboard input (e.g. 1, 2, 3) instead of via mouse, so you can keep attacking while adjusting your buff setup

and of course visual polish & sound effects would add a lot to it, but I'm sure thats just due to time pressure

This was certainly an interesting game. Not entirely sure I see the theme being expressed through this game, but thankfully that isn't technically necessary for a Ludum dare submission! The MMO-style combat is something I haven't seen much in game jams before, so it's certainly neat to see someone try that! One thing I wish was that the hitboxes of attacks were a little more clear, sometimes it was hard to tell that I wasn't successfully attacking the enemies, and similarly hot-keys for the different summons would have been nice instead of having to click them (or maybe there are some, and I just couldn't figure them out!). All that said though, still very impressive to make a game in such a short amount of time, and this is a fair few levels too! And there seems to be good thought going into the mechanics and level designs, I'd love to see this polished up a bit in the future. Good work!

I see potential in a game like this (maybe having more abilities to choose), also from what I've seen, if you are right in front of an enemy colliding with it you can't hit it

I found myself clicking the creature squares at the bottom repeatedly and it felt redundant. I may not have fully understood how to play well.

Use summoned creatures to enhance your abilities and defeat enemies. It's a good idea. However, I've noticed that the player's attack actions don't always hit the enemy; there might be some kind of bug here. Additionally, I found that choosing two healing spells and one shield is a good combination.

I found it preatty hard to understand how to play the game. The game is not bad, but it seems like it is not finised. It is good for a prototype and there are many "but's", so it needs improvising

anaastaska 2024-10-17 09:20

Good game! Need some polishing of mechanics and maybe some good written rules could be helpful! But overall it is good job 👍

It was fun figuring out which combo worked, though I found I was always using three of the same type. The music layering over itself was an - interesting effect. I'm guessing that was unintentional. I had some issues with attacking, often an attack that looked like it should hit didn't. Also all the enemies and projectiles can phase thought the walls.

Fun concept but a but really lacks polish, its hard to understand when you hit for exemple. Also the music adds a new track everytime you start a new level! It was fun but I don't think it's intended haha
