A tiny platformer game with spikes as dangerous as camera and controls :D Eating monsters at platforms up or below my platform is the main flaw I think, audio que for "all monster killed" would be nice and looped music to not have silence between music. Liked thou soaking progressive sound and neat art overall. Good luck with next games!

The visuals is really good and the gameplay idea is fun. The spiks is really difficult to avoid and I even got killed by them even when I clearly was not near them. But overall still a pretty good jam game. Well done.

It's a very interesting platformer, but there seem to be some bugs; for example, I can't seem to get through the third door.(Correction: I'm sorry, I didn't see that.)

@flewbimo did you catched all creatures ? normally the condition is that all creatures needs to be catched..hmm

The pixel art is cute! Unfortunately I had a hard time playing because the A and D controls didn't work for me. I had to move with the arrow keys, which on my laptop are super small.

I really like the concept!
This might be a "me" thing, but using the alt key to soak up creatures felt very strange, and I never quite got used to the controls - It didn't prevent me from playing, but I had one hand on the arrow keys, and used my other hand to hit space/alt. I used my thumb to press space, so I had to put my hands in a very unfamiliar position to be able to comfortably reach both space and alt, which caused me to be playing with my thumb and middle finger.
I also ran into a few browser-related issues hitting alt - It kept trying to set my focus to the file menu every time I pressed the alt key 😅
Otherwise, the game itself seems to be well-executed! Nice job! :)

What a cool concept! I love how you've combined the chamber hunter mechanics with platforming elements.
*By the way, I think I found a bug—literally! Not literally?*

Decent little complete game.
I liked the graphics alot, nice retro style! Platforming was tight and a bit unforgiving at places when you die at one hit. Still I played it all the way through.
About the audio: music made me want to turn off volume after a couple of levels, but the soaking sound on the other hand was really cool.

Cool little game. The character's hurt-box definitely needs adjusting though. It's frustrating to die to the spikes when visually you're not on them.
I enjoyed the visuals. The audio was hit and miss for me and I really missed a volume adjustment.

Fun little entry! Some feedback I have:
- The graphics are cute and the sound effects fit nicely with it - Sometimes I got stuck in a platform. I could not move and jumping made glitched sound effects (lots of jump sounds at once) - A and D did not work, but arrow keys did! Maybe an idea to change the description to avoid further confusion - I like how the creatures get sucked into the suckythingy, even when targeting one at the toplevel, the creature at the bottomlevel will also get sucked up

thank you @chariot . I am not sure. Normally when you soak and stop he stays there where he is. I had thought about to implement going back or something but then i didnt had enough time to do :)

@wouter52 oh thank you for the hint with the controls. Getting stuck is bad hmm - need to check why this happen and when.

I recreated it here in the third level (where the colored orbs were). Just mess around in that corner and you will most likely reproduce it too! In my first playthrough this happened spontaniously.
Maybe providing the player with a restart-level key could be an easy fix.
Enjoyed playing it. I wish we could use the ability to spew/throw the soaked enemies in places like the obstacles. And really nice pixel art.

That was fun, playing as some kind of ghostbuster character. Controls felt a bit floaty, making it hard to time the jumps and land on platforms and stuff, but it was fun being able to "soak" ennemies from quite fare away! Congratulations on your submission!
Cute platformer! Nice job especially you were alone on this project :v:
Fun concept with cute pixel art! Soaking creatures was satisfying, and the sound effects really added to the experience. Controls were a bit tricky, but overall it was enjoyable. Gj!

Thx @wouter52 - i try to check if i can fix this later.
I wish the creatures would return to their previous position if soaking fails or incomplete. But nonetheless I can say that this soaking machine doesn't soak.

@wouter52 i provided now a fix for the version (which i hope fix the collision issue with the ground). Also i added a option for restarting the level when stucked (R or F12) with a hint for it.

Thanks @lussard-studio , @nazariglez and @magopian .
I think the game is very polished, with smooth visuals and animations. However, using the space bar for jumping and the alt key for absorbing makes the controls a bit cumbersome. It might feel more comfortable if the W key and the up arrow key could be used for jumping instead!

You've got a pretty nice concept for a game here, and I could see this being improved with a bit of work. The first thing I would change is the alt to suck, because I only have a left alt key and it's sorta hard to press while moving around. It would have also been nice to see the enemies react to the suction, and make that a fundamental part of the game. Currently, there is enemy variety but they are all defeated in the same way which leaves some room for improvement. The art looks very nice and for the most part everything feels pretty responsive. Also the music and sound remind me of retro 8 bit games, which definitely fits the aesthetic of this game.
Overall nice job! (Also we both used suction mechanics in our games which I think is kinda funny)
Simple, but addictive game. I didn't stop until I managed to actually finish it. The art and the mood are pretty cool, nice job!
Good job. It reminds me Luigi Mansion.
bit difficult to play, the spikes kill you even if you dont step on them, speed was a bit too fast i feel, it made it hard to jump in time, the concept is good and i like the little detail of your hat changing upon death, had a small collision glitch where i got stuck in the ceiling corner for a second and the jump sound spazzed out, the pixel art is cute
Would be cool to change up the controls / add some mobile/touchscreen buttons if you do some post-compo tweaks.
Cool concept, the controls were very twitchy so makes the player have to be super precise. Being able to fire out the sucked up bugs as bullets would be a fun addition :ghost:

Cool game! It would be nice to change the hitboxes so that the player and walk to the edge without toughing the spike haha
A functional platformer with an interesting and unique core mechanic. And a good compo entry. Well done!
Nice job on this! Overall its a really solid entry. I would like to echo some of the other sentiment about "leaps of faith", as I call them, where you have to just put trust in the level designer to not have spikes that kill you where you have no agency to avoid them. There were multiple instances of that, which made it pretty frustrating at times.
The concept is great though, and its a full game with multiple levels and mechanics. Nicely done!

Thank you - yeah i should adjust them. I was not sure how to adjust a single tile collider in game maker. So i may need to put them on a seperate tile or as single object..a bit frustrating :)
Cool idea, but the controls are a bit of a nightmare. The rules tripped me up, and I got stuck trying to figure out how to finish a level. The theme's strong, but the confusing mechanics and missing pieces make it tough to enjoy. A little more clarity would go a long way.

Nice game but boy the controls are hard!
Really good platform game with a neat aesthetic and a nice mood. It reminds me some classic console games like Mario. The controls work well as expected. A good use of the theme. What engine had you used in order to create this little and funny project? Well done ++

thank you very much @geckoo1337 :) . This time i used Game Maker Studio. The engine is...ok but i dont like the Art workflow when you update assets. you need to Reimport them and you you cannot just Update the files. Besides that (and besides the Bad code editor) it is pretty good for 2d games.
