I have absolutely no drawing skills and definitely should learn how to use an engine instead of always rewriting everything from scratch :)
On the plus side, I learned new things with Rapier2D !

My first try for this LD was a platformer, but I knew I wouldn't have enough time to make enough assets for it to be interesting...

And it didn't feel you were a tiny creature when I tried to see how it was on the top of the plant. After several hours on this prototype I scrapped it to work on a destructible pixel environment. It was so bad and ugly I won't post a screenshot here. I did what I could and made the "thing" I submitted : A 2D toy where you play as fleas/bed bugs. My only regret is not having any challenges and obstacles in my game, it's a mere toy, but I had fun working on this project. And one more, produced some horrendous code ;D

@pedryx, you're right I should have stopped the game after the last "creature", I was late and didn't have time to optimize it and there are a lot of stuff dangling in memory...

Just tried out the game, its a cool idea! Honestly your platformer idea that you posted a screenshot of looks really cool! Sorry it didn't end up working out, we have all been there.
Fun game. And a bit disturbing :). The audio for the fleas is great.
Audio and humor are very nice) It would be great if it has some more gameplay.
That was fun! Music and sound effect are great. It was funny too. Not much else too add. Great job!
3D is a cool look for a game jam, but definitely a lot of work :) The thing you did release is great though. The flea noises, music, and paper theme really give it a mood.

Hah, finally another game like mine where you control pixel-like creatures with your mouse! Nice! Just needs some levels with obstacles.
