Cute! Interesting concept! How did you integrate the llm? I wasn't sure what the symbols did that I was suppose to use in the signals
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD56 → Cheese or Squeeze

Cute! Interesting concept! How did you integrate the llm? I wasn't sure what the symbols did that I was suppose to use in the signals
@the-floating-brain lol that's right. We designed the symbols to be abstract, and you’ll need to learn their meanings by interacting with the NPC. 😊
@vivyhasadream Its difficult but interesting and fun! Thanks for sharing your work! The LLM integration is technically impressive
Really cool and interesting concept. I loved the game but the early levels feel that get completed by doing almost nothing. It ends up feeling unearned
Love the art and concept! Will there be a macOS build?
love the UI design
Good UI Design and Art
Amazing game! I played it for a long time, and it's really fun. Even though it crashed a few times, I reopened it almost immediately. This is the first jam game that didn't make me quit after a crash. But the time for the little mouse to think is too short. I have to respond immediately before I can finish listening to the scientists, or else they'll think I did nothing. (*Please give that tiny brain more time to think!*)I'm really excited to see more from this game!
Such cute
What an interesting game! I feel it really captured the theme, as a tiny creature I kept desperately trying to communicate with these big hulking creatures that I couldn't even see their face. I did stall out on the third level- trying to learn the words and predict the scientist's reaction proved to be a bit frustrating. I'm glad they liked it when I asked about the poison, but why did they then get mad that I didn't have anything to say in response to that? Or getting angry if I asked for food... Then having to restart the whole level ended up feeling like a big setback.
I do think this was a great game with some cool LLM incorporation that really nailed the theme! It might've been to the rest of the game's detriment that the LLM as explored through emojis was so fascinating- the clock and the food and health all felt like distractions from the concept puzzle.
My partner really loves this jam game. I came because of its reputation, but for some reason, I can't open the webpage and play. I hope I can find a way to play it.
big amount of work here! did you guys sleep?! it;s lovely and ya'll should be proud. the gameplay was a bit old school point and click adventure!
Very well used of an LLM in a video game, good job ! It's just a little hard to remember all the emoji's signification.
The amount of work that went into this is incredible. I love the art style and how you have to figure out what each symbol means. It really helped building up that immersion of you being the little mouse trying to learn human languages.
The complexity is amazing, and its pretty fun figuring out how to communicate with just a few possibilities. Will definitely play it a bit more and see where my decisions lead.
The game features a cool concept and impressive art, but the early levels can feel too easy, making progress seem unearned.
A lot of fun to play! I really like the puzzle of limited communication with the emojis, and trying to balance working with the AI and getting to give you food! It would've been nice if the LLM prompts were a little more refined, the first level I kept getting asked to describe a wheel that didn't exist. Overall, really cool concept, and really well polished for a game jam!
@adam-gallina well, the humans don't know that they are asking too much. :smirk: yes, some more polishing and balancing would make it more stable.
i don't recall seeing this concept explored in games, perhaps it's just me. lovely artstyle and gameplay, good job!
Wow it is so beautiful!!!Fantastic job!!
I like the game and it has a lot of fun to play! Good job especially the graphics!
I really enjoyed your game! The emoji communication is super fun, and the art style is great. It’s impressive how you managed to integrate an LLM! I’d love to see more games explore this concept. Gj!
I really love the unique concept of this game and how it creatively integrates an LLM! The emoji communication adds a fun twist, though I found it a bit tricky to decipher what each symbol meant at first. The art style is stunning, and the gameplay is engaging, making it a delight to explore. Overall, I can’t wait to see how this idea develops in future iterations!
Cool game, had so much fun, nice job, will be recommending it to others
@boxedmeatrevolution the mac build is done!
This game really stood out to me for its visuals and gameplay offered. Really excellent game. Well done!
This was so much fun to mess around with. Super impressive for a game jam! I really like the idea behind this one and would be interested in seeing it develop further :)
cut art style!
Okay the game looks fire, gameplay is interesting visuals are fire. But there is one thing, 2.5GB FOR THIS?????? How did you manage to make is so big i cannot be sure that you guys made it in 3 days as well with such a size
This game has a fun and unique concept where you play as a lab mouse communicating with scientists using only emojis. Pros: - **Creative idea**: Controlling a mouse that interacts through emojis is quirky and fresh. - **Humor**: The witty scientist dialogue adds a lot of charm. - **Engaging mechanics**: Using emoji combinations to solve puzzles keeps the gameplay interesting.
Cons: - **Confusing interface**: The emoji system might be tricky to understand at first. - **Balance**: Humor should complement, not overshadow, the gameplay.
Conclusion: A funny and original game with a clever communication mechanic, perfect for players who enjoy lighthearted challenges.
Awesome idea and implementation? by the way, how do i tell color of the ball, if there is no ball and no color emoji? it htis randomzied or am i stupid ?
Nice game with so many interesting concepts. Can't believe you did this in 72 hours! It's this kind of game where you have no idea what you are doing, but it's fun because you are getting food and funny answers of the doctor. Enjoyed playing it.
@dan-nik-sg Haha that's because there is a 2GB Llama 3B local AI model in the streamingassets folder, so the chatting feature of the game not going to use any online AI services for privacy. The size of game build itself should be around 500-700mb.
@hangovergames yes! there is a color emoji looks like this! When you press it will send a random color trigger word to the researcher [20241014-014747.jpg](///raw/b28/3/z/68cc7.jpg)
I like the graphics, art and everything game is kinda good!
I really wanted to try this, but when trying to play through Wine on Linux, I think the game is broken for some reason... this is all I see when I start the first level, nothing I click on does anything. https://i.imgur.com/dUGtINk.png
An interesting use of LLM in game design, well done :)
"Such a cute and interesting concept! I love the creative emoji communication system and how it integrates the LLM. The art is great, but I was a bit confused about the symbols in the signals at first. Overall, it's a fun and unique experience!
Cool use for LLM! I thought the scientists were a bit too creepy in the way they spoke :p One thing I struggled with was how long it took to get the AI to say something back / they would finish their previous sentence when I wanted to just push forward and it just resulted in me queuing up their responses.
Great job though~!
There are three things that have really surprised me:
Here, we play as "Tiny Creatures," which is almost the opposite of what most people would think. Yet, your implementation is so reasonable and just right.
Your judicious use of LLM has made the game more chaotic and interesting. I think we've finally seen a game that doesn't simply use LLM to generate a variety of artistic resources, but instead, you've cleverly integrated the "dehumanized" aspect of LLM into the gameplay. That's really fantastic!
Despite all these constraints, you've managed to create many interesting interactions and levels, which is simply astonishing. I'd say you might just be the star of this Jam in my heart!
Of course, if you have the time, I hope you can also check out our game~
coolest game I've seen so far! It's definitely a novel idea to incorporate LLM into your jam game!
