Great effects! It's impressive to build a game like this in such a short time. but, climbing the walls made me a bit dizzy, haha. After a few gravity shifts, the perspective tilted completely, and the dizziness made me to close the game early:p
Amazing game! I played it for a long time, and it's really fun. Even though it crashed a few times, I reopened it almost immediately. This is the first jam game that didn't make me quit after a crash. But the time for the little mouse to think is too short. I have to respond immediately before I can finish listening to the scientists, or else they'll think I did nothing. (*Please give that tiny brain more time to think!*)I'm really excited to see more from this game!
It took me a long time to realize that the cards I play are a resource both my enemies and I use. By the time I figured it out, it was too late. Of course, I still won in the end! It's a really unique card game.
This is a very well-made game. However, the waiting can be a bit frustrating—maybe it's a good game to play while working ;p. But after my ants started reproducing, some of them randomly disappeared. Is that normal? And sometimes the ants get stuck and stop moving. It would be great if I could drag them around. (Also, it would prevent one ant from eating all the food— *hey! That’s not for you! *)
Such a cute art style! I absolutely love the feeling of a big group rushing forward (*though, poor doggos*). The game was a bit tricky at first, ~~until I discovered the trick of rapidly hitting the spacebar.~~
The artwork is absolutely beautiful, and the animation is touching. I would gladly have this game running on my screen as a dynamic background just for the art. *but, the flies are just food?*
Such a fun little concept! It's really light and enjoyable to play. It would be even more fun if there were more mini-games. I'm really looking forward to you continuing to develop this game!
~~I knew there was definitely a little thing living in my computer! And I bet mine is super lazy!~~
Amazing art... amazing design... amazing gameplay and creativity! Everything, from the visuals to the sound to the animation, is just fantastic. After just one round, I completely understood what this game is about. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of game I've always dreamed of making, and it transcends language entirely! (A personal goal of mine is to create a game that breaks language barriers so anyone around the world can play.) This is definitely going to be one of my favorite creative ideas from now on, and I'm so happy I got my name on the leaderboard—hopefully it won’t be knocked off too soon. I also love the design of the volume slider. ~~maybe I should go check on how that little guys in my head are doing~~ By the way, what are those symbols? Some kind of language?
It's really fun to play, makes me feel a bit nostalgic for the old days.
I didn’t expect to see cyberpunk-style artwork in this theme, but I love it! The idea of different combinations of pieces bringing different abilities is great. It’s a simple yet addictive game. ~~I just killing my own pieces many time~~ haha.
I love the way the cats roll around, haha. The feeling of the cats being captured when they enter the central cylinder is great, and I really like that cute crosshair. However, sometimes the cats get stuck on the edge of the platform. It would be awesome if there were more targets or interactive elements.
What a clever idea! And the artwork is beautiful. I really loved the opening animation—it gives the project a very polished feel. *~~Scratches head~~*
**oops!**
The atmosphere is fantastic, slightly creepy. ~~I keep dying from behind every time.~~
Such a cute game! Super, super, super cute! The way it syncs with the music is just perfect. Every time those little things fly toward me, the atmosphere gets so tense, just like when you run into mosquitoes at night in real life.
***slap sound*** *Ugh, darn mosquitoes.*
BTW,I love this game, the only small issue is that sometimes the mosquitoes fly behind the character, making it hard to see them. Other than that, it's perfect!
Feels great, and jumping really high as a little creature is awesome. The AI's pathfinding might need some tweaking though—they keep running into walls, haha. Maybe setting a clear target for them could help? Oh, and the most important thing! Add a cover for your game! It will definitely help with getting more visibility.
@ruben01 ~~Thank you so much for liking it! My friends and I are working on fixing it. you can try the downloadable version—that one is working fine. ;)~~
Now we've fixed it! But it's only on Itch, please check it out there![https://iven-enyou.itch.io/the-little-life]
*I realized that this game might need some explanations.*
The Flora perform photosynthesis, the Crystal are solid, and the Fungus? The Fungus are very active. (relatively speaking). Meanwhile, the roots of the Flora can damage the Crystal, the areas where Crystal grow are unsuitable for Fungus, and Fungus erode plants.
At the end of each round, these little creatures will try to expand their territory.
- In the spring, everyone is equal; * the scorching summer sun gives Flora an advantage; + autumn belongs to the Fungus; - winter is the favorite season of the cold-loving Crystal.
Starting from the second year, players will have a chance to see upgraded versions: - Moss—pacifists that can coexist with any race; - Rocks—absolute defenders that even abandon expansion; - Mold—crazy fighter of Fungus, but they bring high rewards. *Of course, they aren’t invincible either.*
Upgraded versions can only be planted on their base forms.
Additionally, from the second year, players will be able to see visual scales to help guide these little creatures towards achieving wonderful harmony, Lets taking that ***Tiny step*** forward.

Remember to download the latest version—We are hard at work fixing bugs!
@lerkd Even though it’s the artist's first attempt at pixel art, it turned out great, right?
@mikeandtherest Thank you so much! My teammate and I put a lot of thought into the gameplay, so it's amazing to hear that you enjoyed it!
@vivyhasadream Thank you for your support! We'll do our best to make this game as complete as possible!
@ibluebirdi The music is already in the works! If all goes well, that is. ;)
@mackelvin Thank you so much! I bet the artist must be really happy right now.
@oliver-day Haha, it's not that complicated. I'm just a beginner in game development, so yeah, that’s right— just drew different layers for each part of the skeleton (hardworking artist here!).
@mibi88 Oh! That’s a new issue. I’ll start checking right away to see what’s causing it, but I think the download version shouldn’t have this problem. I probably messed something up while tweaking the values.
@velvetlobster Great music suggestion! Now I want to go find some tracks like the ones you mentioned for the BGM.
@jdeedubs Thank you so much for your support! We're planning to add some animations to better showcase how amazing your efforts are. It’s still a work in progress!
@loveschach This is my first attempt at game development, and there’s still a lot I don’t understand, but thank you so much for enjoying it! The little creatures would thank you too!
@megurt Haha, you saw that post! Everything comes from me just being an amateur programmer—but an animator, haha!
@zimny11 Oh... looks like you ran into that issue too. I'm trying to figure out what's causing it! The downloadable version should work fine (though it might be a bit harder). Music is definitely part of our update plan!
*Oh... so this is a horror game... I... I...*
The creepy atmosphere is spot on and it really scared me (yes, I lost, but I swear I had my flashlight on!).
The idea of combining a personality test with this type of game is really interesting (should we call it a "Vampire Survivor-like" game?). In the later stages, the game starts to feel easier, but I think that's the clever part—it lets the player experience how powerful their personality can be. Really great game, and I’m excited to see what more you can do with it!
The visuals are super cute, haha, but it seems there's a game-breaking bug that lets you pass through directly. Also, sometimes the little goblins get stuck when both of them are selected at the same time.
The art style is amazing, the artwork is really beautiful. But can I only walk around the map? I'm really looking forward to the full game!
Impressive 3D! :) I noticed there are coins and a shop, but it seems like the functionality isn’t there. What a shame, haha.
It seems like you might have provided the wrong thing to download?
I only see one button? not sure how to start.
