Im a big fan of the retro feel to it. C64 inspired Im guessing! Neat that its two games in one as well :)

zicboy 2018-08-19 12:28

Awesome game. I was pleasantly suprised with the overall mood of the game. Hope you develop a post jam version for this!

plufmot 2018-08-20 12:43

@alex-adedge Subconsciously I think it was C64 inspired haha, I'm glad you liked it! 😀

plufmot 2018-08-20 12:44

@zicboy I had a lot of fun making and playing this so perhaps I will! Thanks 😀

tomeks 2018-08-20 14:00

Actually quite playable, and sounds matching as well. Solid coherent entry

dk5000p 2018-08-20 14:06

Was the ship I was supposed to take based on the amount of health I chose at the beginning? I like that you could choose your difficulty that way. Initially I thought the 1 meant level 1, though. Some things were not immediately cleat but it was a fun game.

suve 2018-08-20 14:07

Small, simple, pleasant.

axavian 2018-08-20 14:12

I really enjoyed the game. Retro sounds and graphics were cool. I like that you placed different types of mechanics to keep the game interesting. Great job!

PS: WTF Turkey? You also banned newgrounds.com? Just why

tlcoc 2018-08-20 14:34

Nice retro feeling to the game. Different game modes makes it exciting. This game has lots of potential to become a much longer series

abhis1kadian 2018-08-20 15:59

@plufmot97 I really loves retro games and playing ur game gave me a kind of nostalgic feeling. Good game and nice try. Feel free to play and rate our game too.

alexey-akulovich 2018-08-20 21:35

Is it possible to collect all the coins in the beginning? :)

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:02

@tomeks Thanks! Glad you liked it 😀

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:06

@dk5000p The health you choose at the beginning is just for difficulty / to max your score (the value of each "coin" is multiplied by your current health) Although that would've been a cool idea! The vagueness of the game was intentional as a throwback to older games that didn't really make sense until you played them a couple of times or read a strategy guide. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing! 😀

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:10

@axavian Glad you liked it and appreciated the different mechanics! Thanks for playing! 😀

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:11

@tlcoc I like to experiment in making different types of games but I really loved making and playing this bite sized type of game. Maybe I will make more like it! Thanks! 😀

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:14

@abhis1kadian I'm glad you enjoyed the aesthetics and that you got nostalgia playing! Thanks for the feedback and I'll be sure to play and rate your game tonight!

plufmot 2018-08-21 07:17

@alexey-akulovich If you mean right at the start when choosing your lives, no. But if you mean in the first level, then yes. 😀

alexey-akulovich 2018-08-21 07:50

@plufmot97 Yes, I meant choosing my lives. I finished the game, it's fine :)

zinski 2018-08-25 18:32

Excellent little scoring game! I like the minimalist graphic style and retro but effective! I think some visual feedbacks would make this game even better although the gameplay is already working very well! Great job! :)

By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!

plufmot 2018-09-04 11:35

@zinski Thanks for the feedback! I loved your game! Rated it too 😀

luxetrix 2018-09-04 11:48

I love the level design and the theme is very obviously used in this. The graphics were simple but nice and retro. I rated almost everything a 5!

jonathan-lorenz 2018-09-04 11:49

Fun little game! I liked the variety of the different levels. The art style is simple but suits the genre well. I manage to reach the end :) Simple game but effective. Good work!

wisstopher 2018-09-04 11:50

This is so quaint and beautiful. I love how much verity is included in here along with it's simplicity. Amazing entry!

dreamingdice 2018-09-04 11:53

This was just a good time, plain and simple. Concept is clear, neat little surprises for paying attention such as droping down the 5 heart hole, clear collectables just wonderfull. I loved how intuitive most of it was, no need for complex tutorials (specially since its a platformes, The original Super Mario didnt need long explanations, it explained itself). And Hell, you get to play a side scrolling Asteroids (Ship 2) after beating the level? wonderfull. I do have some complaints like how the red squares in the drop sequence look just like collectibles but its minor. You didnt ask to be rated on audio or graphics but they were both wonderfully selected, good work. 10/10 would nostalgia hard again.

controls are a lilttle hard, gameplay not bad and graphics were cool ^^ good job :D

plufmot 2018-09-04 16:03

@luxetrix @jonathan-lorenz @diaxcor Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback guys! 😀 Played and voted on your games too!

plufmot 2018-09-04 16:14

@dreamingdice Thanks for playing and leaving such good feedback! I try to make my games intuitive like the Mario games! If you liked the side scrolling shooter level, A few hours ago I released a small realized game out of it with two player co-op! https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/716625 I agree with your complaint on the red squares, looking back I should of made them subtract from your score instead of your lives. I'm glad you liked the graphics and sound effects! However I decided not to include them in the voting since they're so primitive. Thanks again for the feedback! 😀

pickens-inc 2018-09-04 16:49

Hey, this was really charming! I haven't played anything on newgrounds in a century but it was super cute. I didn't really understand how it fit the theme, or why there were different ships, but that's likely just because I'm a bit slow. The graphics were really cute and sounds really reminded me of C64 era games. Very fitting. I liked how it went from different stages of gameplay, so that it was almost like several uber-short games in one :)

Having fun and making a little game is the best reason to do the LD, and I'm glad you had fun! I think this is fine the way it is. Well done!
