Quel énorme kiff
the game seems great but i have a bug that make the buildings invisible for me .
@novicedevgames I just fixed it, if you want to give it a try once again
The itch.io link should have the fixed version
@adamsmccall now i feel the difference and yeah the game is great , the fast fps genre match well with limited spaces i like arena shooters .the buildings implement also is a good idea because it adds tridimensionality . it is quite paradoxal that the limited space in your game push you to change layer vertically so you create new space indefinitly .
@novicedevgames Thank you ! I haven't thought too deep about the mechanics while i was developping it but I had so much fun when I was testing it that I knew I was on to something :relieved:
nice concept !!
@adamsmccall i don't know if i can ask that but is it possible for you to give me your feedback about the game i made .i need to have an exterior opinion from someone with more experience .
if you accept , i will ask you to be purely honest , if the game sucks say it , if there's a problem in the gameplay or whatsoever say it ,i'll take any advice .
I think that your game system is very well thought out. With further development, I believe it has great potential. Great job
This is so good! I love it. I however dont see the connection with the theme. Nevertheless this was so much fun to play. As a former Fortnite pro I had a lot of fun just jumping and dashing around, sniping the enemies. I like that there is a delay after each shot, so you have to really make sure you hit your shot. I also like that there is 100% accuracy, even when jumping. I would love to play more when there are more mechanics, maybe different gun types, power ups. The possibilities are endless!
- Really fun game, with nice simple assets and engaging game loop. I enjoyed not having to wait for the bullet and predict where to shoot and being instantly raised when I kill an enemy on the same square. I've built a tower from where I sniped enemies until I fell off and one enemy spawned there. - I think the AI could maybe use some work, sometimes (probably when there was no path) it would just move between 2 squares. - One thing worth looking into is auto reload on kill, since enemies spawn after you kill the last one and sometimes multiple of them, or spawn them after a delay so the player has time to reload and reposition.
The game idea is fun, and I had fun trying the game. The visuals is pretty good. The sound effects is okay, but it could have used a bit more. Music would also have been great. Overall a fun and pretty well made little jam game. Well done.
@r8teful Im glad you had fun ! To me, the connection with the theme is that the town has a limited surface and you can quickly limit your own space if you're not careful where you kill ennemies.
I also didn't want to bother with potential spray when shooting because I didn't want any luck in the mechanics, you either get shot or you don't because you consciously avoided it. The flying scoutsman gamemode in CS:GO was a bit of an inspiration tbh
@ellaris Thanks for playing  You seem to have figured out the winning strategy here lol
I agree, the AI could use some improvement but I spent so much time already figuring out some kind of pathfinding algorithm that I didn't want to bother more. My thought was "at least they move enough so they are decent targets". That autoreload is a good idea, either that or a delay before the next wave with maybe an indication of where the ennemies will spawn
@jk5000 Thank you, Im glad you liked it ! I wish I had time to create 1 or 2 music but I just take too much time to compose them. I shall practice for the next time :triumph:
Surprisingly fun reaction-based shooter. The graphics were simple but worked. I really like the level growing each time you killed an enemy, adds a lot of variety to an endless game like this.
I played this even though I didn't submit my own game. As other have already said, it's fun to play. At first I was bummed that enemies never miss but then I got used to it and started understanding and liking the choice. Since you can turn enemies to buildings, you have a lot more mobility than them and more choice of where you hide. And of course they still have a delay after spotting you before you shoot.
Great start. Curious where you would take this if you continued.
This was really fun and addictive. First game all our team had to try!
I would have liked some music, and the game felt a bit hard/unforgiving.
I love the concept! Super unforgiving at first, but rewarding to get the hang of it!
Very good using of the theme ! Simple and efficient really fun, it lacks of feedbacks and effect when shooting. And really need a country music but that's a really good job ! PS: I had to add --rendering-driver opengl3 to launch the game on my laptop, if you encounter this error too just add it at in the target of a shortcut of the game, because godot impose the vulkan rendering.
I like the game a lot! A bit difficult to get the hang of, but enjoyed it once I got into it more
Loved this idea, very innovative. The base concept is solid, and with a couple more polish and design passes, this could turn into a real gem! Something I'd suggest is maybe have enemies shoot projectiles instead of hitscan? That way, dodging becomes more fun, and the environment can be more easily utilized for cover and stuff.
Also, yay for Godot! Screenshot_1.png
@masterproject I'm happy you enjoyed it :relieved:
Its not a bad idea. During development I wasn't that much into it because I focused too much on the dash but it could be a nice alternative too.
This is clever! Good take on the theme, and the art does a good job of selling the setting (especially the hats on the enemies). By the time I got up to a height of 7 the AI had a hard time getting to me, so I racked up 50-odd kills… I guess I am the sheriff now?
@mahalis Well done chief, you deserved it

Really cool concept. A bit unpolished but I found the gameplay so fun that it doesn't really matter. A bit buggy, but overall I really like the concept and it fits really well with the theme. Also could use a tutorial. I didn't realize i had a dash until like 5 minutes into the game.
also my hs is 27 kills, 4 height
Fun and addictive ! Really liked it :) The sound design need a little variation, but that's just it  Congrats !!
This was fun. I got to 37 kill and 6 height after figuring out what to do. I died immediately on my first game  I really like how you implemented the "danger" mechanic, I knew exactly when to duck and hide. I was able to find success by building a tower, it seemed like the baddies had trouble getting up to the top floor. Well done, good entry
Well, it's nice, but what ruined it for me is no invert-Y option. You'll find that option in all FPSs because some mutants can't play without it. The fact that cowcapsules jump up and down, giving much cause for vertical aiming didn't help either. Couldn't get more than 13 kills and that's after few tries. The dash-when-yellow mechanics is too unforgiving as well. I guess it would all work out better if I could actually aim.
But the atmosphere and graphics, including color choice is quite enjoyable, and it is cool to see town being built around you, especially as you start jumping roofs. Pretty decent take on the theme.
@kr4ft3r I agree, I wanted to implement options like that with mouse sensitivity as well, but I had so much trouble setting up the menu that I couldn't get that done. Sorry for that :/ Thanks for trying still
Having the building spawn on a kill is a neat idea I wasn't expecting. Usually got "got" by the bots because they shot me in the back a few moments after spawning. I'd like to see them spawn in locations where we cannot see each other. Good use of the theme, and nice job using 3d! :smile_cat:
Cool concept, I like how you have to manage where you kill the enemies at (almost blocked myself in a few times). Also very nice touch with the directional indicators.
This was fun, though it took me a bit to get the hang of it. It might be good to add a restart button to the end screen, I kept waiting for the end of the score calculation before remembering to hit the esc key. I liked the indicators that showed where the enemies were and when they could see you. Nice work.
Nice game! The concept & graphics were pretty funny, and I liked how the dead capsules turned into buildings. The game also felt pretty good to play, with high ground actually being very important :) I'm very bad at shooters, so most of the time I just died with 1 kill, but I did manage to get 14 kills and a height of 5 by the end! The enemies were very erratic, making it a bit too hard for me to hit them (but then again, I am generally bad at shooters), but otherwise, great entry!
@frogman gg ! I agree, the ennemies movement is too sharp. Even with the questionable path finding I could have smoothed their movement a little bit. So they didn't make it any easier for sure :/
Thanks for playing, Im glad you enjoyed it
super fun, very cool mechanic, its really interesting to see the landscape you've created after playing for a bit getting killed felt a bit underwhelming because it usually was due to me overlooking an indicator rather than being pressed by enemies or mistiming i got to 37 kills with 4 height
Congratulations, simple and fun! I love FPS and I really feel like a ninja running and shooting different enemies, I loved the enemy vision indicator, it made me feel like I was in Far Cry! I had a small bug sometimes, the enemy got stuck in the air with full view of the map, but the overall experience was very different and enjoyable!
This is a super fun game. I like the take on the theme, it's a funny little twist on the western cliché
There are some things that could be improved, namely: - The AI of the enemies. They were a nice moving target and the game was fairly difficult (not frustrating, however ), but sometimes they got stuck. - Pity that there's no music. - I managed to get to height 5, after which an enemy spawned in the sky above me and was shaking uncontrollably, which made it impossible to shoot him. Needless to say, he killed me shortly after. - It could just be me imagining things, but it seems more and more enemies started spawning right at the start, as if some difficulty variable wasn't reset between restarts?
I like the graphics (even the enemies with their "lo-fi" capsule look worked well ) and had a lot of fun with this one. Great work!
Great entry - graphics, gameplay, theme, all very well covered.
The cowboy capsules were hilarious, and this is one of the most fun compo games I've played so far. I also got shot at by flying cowboys, but I laughed so hard when it happened I feel like they should be left in ("Wait, what? where is he!?" \*BANG\* \*play field zooms out to reveal jiggling sky cowboy\*).
This is EXCELLENT. I don't know if you have heard of it, but the mechanics remind be of a board game called "Santorini". Adding blocks on a grid to build up. This was wonderful fun and I played it a good few times. Really enjoyed this
Really good entry. Proper moreish, I played it for a while. My best was 29 with a height of 5, and then an enemy killed me who was in the sky :sob:. Great jam!
Love a little shooter! This was great. The way the world fills in is actually pretty interesting and there's strategy in building a little defensive structure and making good use of it. The indicators are super key and make the game feel fair despite the dodge timing being tight. I found myself wishing for some kind of melee attack for when my shoot was on cooldown but I still wanted to go aggro, but maybe that would be too strong. Good stuff overall!
