Loved this. Good use of theme and I like the idea of a robot president. Nice audio use too. Good level design and I like the approach to the camera system. Keeps it simple and fun. Good work!

Can't open the exe file. Im getting a error message: failed to open descriptor file '../../..INYP/INYP.uproject'
@LandbergLife I think it was because I manually changed the name of the exe, thanks for that should be okay now :)
Very nice graphics which is not a surprise since you used Unreal. Cool decision about camera. Checkpoints could be more frequent, when there is this big room with doors to other challenges I had to repeat the corridor section before it every time I failed one of the challenges. Still nice solid experience.
@wisstopher this is pretty cool!
Things I liked:
Graphics- Anyone with eyes knows that the graphics are amazing for such a short time. I love the lighting, the character models, and just about everything else. Well done!
Sound- The sound was really good. I think the music was almost close to being too repetitive, but the sounds after getting a button and the lasers were cool and helped set the tone
Things I didn't like:
The Camera- So I actually liked that you decided to keep the camera stationary, but it didn't function right with the levels. I think it was the third level where you are moving towards the camera and there are lasers coming from the ceiling, and with the way the camera is set up, it's really hard to tell where the lasers are compared to the ones nearest to the camera. I like the mechanic, but I think you should fix the level design around it.
I'm Not Your President is really cool, and I think you'll place well!
Nice graphics, the light effects are great. I really liked that the camera is always fixed in one direction and that the level design has to adapt to that idea. Cool game and nice experience! :)
@hungare thanks for the feedback, I tried to keep all of the levels designed in a forward motion to emphasise that you're pushing on. I did break my rules sometimes especially with the lasers from the ceiling, because I thought they were cool haha. Thanks for the feedback!
I like your game, I'm fan of the character haha.
Level design is good, with a nice flow of a game. Just in some laser levels the camera use is a bit confusing with the view angles.
Music looks also good but a bit short loop. It recalled me to flash games I used to play when I was younger, so extra point :)
I found this theme use a bit forced, but it's a lot of job for those 72h.
Finally, I enjoyed it so good rating from me in mood.
Nice entry for this jam!
The graphics are really good for a compo entry. The music is pretty cool as well.
The gameplay is pretty simple, but enjoyable. The camera is very weird when you're changing rooms sideways with the way it zooms in, but other than that the camera angles work very well. The level design is also good. The 'puzzles' (if you can call them that) are very simplistic and seem to be there just to.. well, be there for the sake of it. But it gives the game a nice flow.
I'm not sure if it's a bug but there were multiple times when doors that should obviously be red were green, and of course they didn't open.
Overall great entry. Good work.
Nice game and very good graphics. The use of unreal engine pays off for sure on that front (wrt unity, which is more basic).
I liked a lot the graphic style and the environments.
I have mixed feelings about the camera: on one side it's a great quirk on gameplay, on the other hand when playing it I really felt the "need" or "itch" to rotate it or zoom it out, especially with ceiling lasers! This made me realize how much spoiled I am for modern games that have camera rotation :D
The puzzles were fun and well polished, along with the gameplay. You can really notice that you curated the game in details, and I like this (it does not feel "rushed" as most of other LD games).
Good job! :grinning:
Very nice. I loved the little Botraham Lincoln charachter (dont know if that is his name but that's what im going to call him). I somehow got this very old school feeling from this game I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the fixed camera angle?
Perfect use of the theme, background sound is nice, the graphics very.
Solid 3D puzzle game. I immedietely figured out how the puzzles work (nice learning curve). Graphics are pretty, altough, my poor old computer did only about 25fps. Good job!
This game looks amazing. Too amazing, in fact - my laptop completely choked on it - I got like 5 fps. Can you upload a post-compo version with lower resolution of lower effects?
Haha, this game has surprisingly many similarities to mine! Made in Unreal Engine, you're a robot on the run, glossy 3D graphics, scary security cameras! I'd say you did it best, though!
The gameplay was pretty nice, I liked it.. at first. Later on when all the lasers and stuff came around, I kinda just started to feel dread. Those traps and walking into felt a little bit imposing, and it got so tense that I kinda started enjoying myself less, just hoping I was close to the end so I wouldn't have to do it anymore.
I didn't get to the end though, because I fell through the floor and I couldn't be bothered to start from scratch.
I think there's an impressive amount of levels and content in this considering it's a compo entry, so well done on that part! Your take on the theme is pretty interesting too. The graphics and audio were both quite nice, it had quite the futuristic feel to it.
Overall a good entry, well done!
I couldn't play, apparently I need something called "DirectX Runtime".
Nice game with good 3d graphics and great audio.
