I like the mounster movement, they can realy catch you
Finished! Nice litle game; once I figured out the patterns of enemies, it was fast :) Although I found the most useful the first emotion and used it all over. Btw, I can appreciate little details like animated background and limite color palette! :)

Very moody! The smear effect for the transitions worked really well.
I didn't get a ton of use out of the extra powers, since the movement pattern of the enemies made Grief almost always the best option. However I did make a couple cool shots with Loss, and unlocking Hope was pretty cool thematically as a protective ability.
After figuring out how to abuse the enemy movement near the end, it became a little easy to win by just walking into a corner until the enemy movement lined up with your position. Perhaps adding a movement counter or a timer would have made the latter levels more challenging.
Overall, great work!
@jiri-hysek The credit for the animated background goes to you. I saw that fog screenshot you posted and ~~stole~~ was inspired by it
@andrewkennedy I originally planned on more monsters that would move diagonally and/or shoot. Hopefully, this would stop the player from approaching them straight on, but this weird thing happened where time kept moving forward and the deadline did not :)
Game feels comfy, good job.
i can't memorize patterns for every single enemy. you nailed the mood but the wall of lore text didn't help.
I love puzzles, here is a great one!
Great puzzle and the mood of the game so nice!
Atmosphere is done really really well. puzzles are nicely done, great job!
The snippets of dialogue in between really add a lot to the atmosphere. I would suggest adding a bit more enemy variety earlier on.
Cool puzzle game with a dark, simple yet beautiful style. During level transitions, the dimming screen was misaligned and didn’t cover the entire area, but that’s minor. Great job!
Moodwise is spot on, the music is repetitive but helps with the ambience and sense of dread. Like some commenters pointed Grief is kinda overpower and could be abused too easily, never needed the other powers. Maybe you can add puzzle like element like pushing rocks in certain ways with the emotions. In general I really liked it and the art was great.
Good tone, simple and intuitive, I enjoyed reaching the new powers and the texts between levels. Great jam.
Wow, I 've just finished playing and I like it. The idea is simple but overall mood, combination of graphics and music feels really nice. It somehow feels similar to Helltaker and I'm really impressed how consistent it is especially for a game created in a compo. TBH I came here because @bangkerpow left a comment on our game :D but now I feel like our game just doesn’t feel nearly as good as this one. :) The only thing I 'd want to change here is maybe difficulty of the last levels. For me it feels a bit easy after previous.Maybe because I just used to game mechanics :)
Neat complete game, rules are simple but there is some challenge to the levels
solid game mechanics/idea! wasnt too difficult to understand the idea (after dying few times)
Oh, this is a really cool puzzle game! The whole aesthetic is really awesome too, I enjoyed this a lot!
Hye Beat it. hehehe i liked grief the best. It was the best way for me to handle the consuming balls of darkness in my life.
Very nice mood-setting!
I was worried I wouldn't remember what the various powers did, but then I really only ended up using Grief (although Hope is useful if you mess up and end up surrounded!)
It does feel a bit repetitive after a while with basically only one power being needed, and once I got the hang of it it was probably a bit too easy, but those are nothing some level design sessions can't fix, and for a jam it's better to be too easy than too hard :)
The mood is well made !! Visual and audio are good ! For me Grief was the easier power to use, so i keep it all the way to the end haha
