Really nice graphics, animations, & sounds. :)

I love the look of this game, but it's a nigh unplayable slideshow, and I tried it in 2 different browsers. :( I tried to find a download because it looks really cool, but I didn't see one either here or on itch.io. I really like the idea of having this grimoire that tells you your tasks and you have to do different tasks each time. Maybe I will check back later and try again!

wow incredible art work!

mcgank 2024-04-16 03:11

Loved this art style and the music was a perfect fit! The text in the grimoire was a bit hard to read do the font choice, but I think it looked nice stylistically. I also really enjoyed the writing style. Gameplay was one of the more unique ones I've played so far I really enjoyed it! Great Job!

I think this is a game about lighting candles

adam-konig 2024-04-16 03:11

Art was incredible. Loved the portraits of each character. Very fun simple game!

zee-yuen 2024-04-16 03:15

this game seems really great, but I can't figure out how to use the pot/wax/chalk?

pusheeneiro 2024-04-16 03:15

WoW great art

yoruvii 2024-04-16 03:17

Great game I love the art and world building. I just think that there is too much dialogue I end up skipping it because I get bored.

her walking animations go wild when walked into the top corner of the room (10/10)

Cute game, with great art. The Treant level dropped a lot of frames and provided a big difficulty spike, would be nice to have the difficulty curve more smoothly. also, inputs aren't very clear either, having some kinda of prompt for when you can pick something up or use it would add a lot. Otherwise, great work!

Great art! I loved the vibe and music but had a hard time figuring out what to do with the items - I put the candles in the circle but wasn't sure what to do next. More helpers/tutorials would be great!

This game's pretty, and the background tunes are nice too! I struggled a little bit with the second level, trying to figure out the chalk/cauldron/stones, but had fun nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your game!

Excellent artwork, super cute sprites, lots of potential.

momotiktik 2024-04-16 11:46

The game art is reeeally well done! I enjoyed checking out pages of the grimoire and different portraits of the creatures, I think I did something weird with the game though and it crashed :D I feel that with a little bit of gameplay cycle improvement this would be a very cute nice small game, so far well done!

@jason-shapiro We just published builds for mac, windows, and linux if you want to give one of them a try!

whalejam 2024-04-17 20:23

Such cute art, and even a tutorial! This was so nice I really enjoyed it and the characters dialogue is funny too, very nice job ^^

josion 2024-04-18 02:17

The art style is absolutely charming! It really pops and adds a lot of personality to the game. Great job on that! 😊

adam-martin 2024-04-19 19:53

Loved the graphics and attention to detail with them. I was confused on the second level that I needed to stand in the circle to continue, but overall everything played well. The book of knowledge was a very nice touch!

pebkac 2024-04-21 13:06

Quite the all-round package! Though the controls felt a bit finniky and it would be great if in some future iteration we could 'scribe spell': make all the relevant notes for a client onto a scrap of parchment that stayed up on the screen.

tyler-m 2024-04-22 23:08

The art was awesome, and it was a fun idea for a game!

simun182 2024-04-26 14:54

Fun game and cool artstyle. And thank you for being one of the few creators who actually included a linux port xd

wuppos 2024-04-27 12:36

I really liked the game and the interpretation of the theme! I would have never thought of a teleportation/summoning circle station, haha :D The art was super beautifull, which really fit the silly storyline. I was really hoping to save the wizard at the end though. Maybe as a very hard last level or something.

Sometimes the controls were a bit finnicky. For example, when the mortar and pestle was close to a candle, I sometimes had difficulty putting some herbs into the mortar and pestle because it kept interecting with the candle. But this was very minor and definitely did not spoil the game at all.

Really well done! :D

Fun game, love the art, the difficulty gap between the last stage and the other stage is harsh, and if your book is open at the end of the timer, you can close it and see what to do. I have a lot of fun to play it
