I love a good rhythm game! I played the tutorial and the first level - at first it wasn't totally clear to me when to press but when I relied less on the visual cues and more on the audio I was able to do much better. I think the visual cue isn't super clear on when precisely you should press the button - at first I was trying to do it when the mouse was in the middle of the wire (I dunno weaving terms lol) but I got the hang of it. I've been toying around for a couple of years with an idea about making a crochet-focused rhythm game and this is inspiring me to do just that! Great work.

This is a very beautiful and fun game, but unfortunately, it’s not very well optimized; both I and a couple of my friends experienced occasional freezing and lag. Otherwise, it’s wonderful.

That's a pretty original idea! I can't remember if I've ever seen a rhythm game with a knitting theme before.

We wanted to experiment with more weaving rhythms too, but we just ran out of time. We do have a ridiculously hard mode in our development build, though! It’s a bit like a typing game: all the arrow prompts are replaced with random keyboard keys. Haha, would you be up for giving that a try?

THIS IS SO LOVELY. This is fantastic. I Loooove this one. The sewing rhythm game, all the designs and the adorable cat and wonderful music. Creative, fun, super charming, inspiring!!. My ONE and only minor complaint is that I wish that the mouse moved a little faster for lines with only one or two buttons on it. Otherwise, its so good!!!

It’s a nicely made game, but I found it too easy, and the music didn’t help at all to keep me from getting bored. And, in general, I’ve never really been able to understand this vibe that cats give off. But the game is enjoyable either way.

Love the graphics, the concept, the art, everything. It's just perfect! Such a great idea.

The only issue I had was that when you turn around and start, the initial distance is a bit too short for me, so I often miss the first key press.

That's really the only thing. Everything else is just very nicely done. Great job!

@naidove Well, I didn’t say the game needed to be made harder, yeah (and it’s not like I played the rhythm game a lot either). It just means that such difficulty isn’t for me at all. And as for the music — it was kind of featureless, playing in the background and not even trying to convey any mood, except to just be… Who knows what? I believe that in rhythm games, it’s important for the music to try to convey something or to be simply fun, so that it can entertain you (to change dynamically, to have some kind of peak, etc., and not to be too long if the gameplay as a whole is rather monotonous). The best song is the second level (but even that is just in comparison with the others), but no single track matched the overall beat in the background.

@naidove I played through the game again, and now everything is great!! There were a couple of instances of lag, but only for a few milliseconds, so it’s completely negligible. I just want to say once more that this is a wonderful game—well done!!:3

I actually also thought abt using the Jacquard loom when I was brainstorming, but couldn’t figure out how to turn it into something genuinely fun to play. Combining it with a rhythm game was such a creative idea, and it works really well! The art and music are also excellent. I did find the gameplay a little repetitive towards the end. overall, it’s a really refreshing and original take on the concept!

Very nice game! Nice, original idea of using rhythm game inputs to crochet. I did experience a little bit of lag, but overall it wasn't too bad. Sometimes I felt that the music didn't really match what I was doing? I felt most this way during the second level/song.

Overall though, great idea! I could see this being expanded on and becoming a really cool game!

Great entry!

Loved the idea of using weaving as the old tech and how that aligned with a rhythm game, really clever. The art in the game was very nice, and the music pleasant. The inputs seemed to register fine and I didn't run into any bugs. I really liked that the threads changed colors for the garment throughout the song.

One thing that would've improve this entry for me, is making the "on" beats of the songs more pronounced and precisely match with the inputs needed. While I could hit the arrows with the correct timing, the music didn't seem to align to it well (though it was the right tempo at least), compared to other rhythm games.

okay placing a rhythm game on a loom like this is truly inspired. I really like the character art and the way the thread gets placed on the warp is very cool (how'd you guys do that?) and seeing it come together at the end is quite satisfying. great job!
