LD60 — Old Tech (19)

It's a Pipe Dream by dracco_0n 2026-10-25T06:11:34Z ♥ 0

The concept is great, and the animation, story, and atmosphere all work really well together. The whole experience feels very comfortable to play, the art is beautiful, and the story really sticks with you afterward.

The interaction and guidance could use a bit more polish, though. I’d suggest giving the clock a much more obvious hover effect. Before reading the instructions, I had no idea I was supposed to change it manually.

Full Steam Ahead! by XeduR 2026-10-25T05:52:45Z ♥ 0

Wow, this was such a fun game! I ended up playing for quite a while, and I was hitting the spacebar so hard that the noise actually attracted my family over to see what I was doing, hahaha. Great job!

Old Varnish-The Technology of the Old Masters by smdrr11037 2026-10-23T06:35:05Z ♥ 0

Such a fun take on the theme! I didn’t realize I could scratch the painting, though. I wish I had a paintbrush so I could try to touch up the damaged bits with my terrible art skills, hahaha!

Let's Make Fire by Caerind 2026-10-23T06:24:45Z ♥ 2

I thought I’d misread the tutorial at first—the left and right buttons control your left and right hands? That’s such a creative idea! And since the game already supports English and French, any chance we could get Chinese too? Haha!

Zwaard Smid by Re-Markable 2026-10-23T06:17:46Z ♥ 1

The sword forging itself is really creative, but the game needs much clearer feedback and guidance. Even just showing me what I’m actually interacting with when I press E would help.

The Margin Game by henk 2026-10-23T00:36:51Z ♥ 0

This is such a fresh idea! I never expected to play a jam game with actual pen and paper, with no software to run at all! I’m in China, so I didn’t have any English text handy to use—until I dug up an instruction manual, hahaha! Full marks for creativity! This is easily the entry that’s stood out to me the most.

Thread by Thread by fnelix 2026-10-23T00:29:26Z ♥ 0

This game is amazing! It’s exactly the kind of weaving game I’ve been hoping for, and I gave it my highest rating of the jam so far! I’d love to see more modes, especially one where I could make my own patterns and share them for others to weave. Let me be the weaving queen, hahaha!

Day 3 is seriously tough, though! I tried several times and still couldn’t beat it—my eyes and fingers just wouldn’t cooperate. But the more I tried, the more I could feel myself getting better at weaving. Really well done!

Funny enough, our team made a game about weaving too, but we took it in a completely different direction. Feel free to give ours a try!

Fire Already!! by INCD021 2026-10-23T00:08:02Z ♥ 0

I gave it everything I had and still couldn’t get a fire going 😭 Sorry, honey, I’ve let you down! Love your take on the theme—you really can’t get much more “old tech” than rubbing sticks together, hahaha!

Not Yet Developed by Daniel123 2026-10-23T00:00:07Z ♥ 0

Ahhh, I was sold the moment I read the description! But I’m a total chicken when it comes to horror games, so I got someone else to play while I hid behind them and watched the whole thing. The darkroom setting works so well for horror. You nailed it! I’d love a mode where I could just develop photos without the scares, but that’s the scaredy-cat in me talking, haha.

The Loading Department --加载事务部 by JerryWest 2026-10-22T23:52:07Z ♥ 0

We need Chinese!

Help Grandma Open Mahjong by smikevth 2026-10-22T23:41:02Z ♥ 0

Haha, helping Grandma open her mahjong app is such a fun premise! It’s a shame it was a bit short—I thought we’d go on to help her download the actual mahjong app, install it in the right place, set up an account, and even add the old man next door as a mahjong buddy! Still, it’s a really fun and relatable concept. Great job!

REWIND 3000 by evgenii-petrov 2026-10-22T12:23:38Z ♥ 1

Such a creative incremental game! The visuals, music, and interactions all feel really polished. The white flash with each upgrade made me dizzy, but I kept playing until I was about three-quarters of the way through, when I started feeling faint and had to stop. I’d love an option to turn off that flash so I could play all the way to the end! Seriously, fantastic work!

Abattlacus by FunBanan 2026-10-22T11:59:05Z ♥ 1

Wow, this is so creative! I’m curious what inspired it—could it be a Chinese abacus? Watching the little characters battle it out is so much fun, and the whole game has such a great tavern vibe. Absolutely love it!

Pigeon Post by aterim 2026-10-22T09:39:01Z ♥ 1

Such a unique take on the theme! Choosing a pigeon felt really cumbersome, though. I couldn’t figure out what all the stats meant—the delivery success chances were the only ones I understood. In that case, why not have each pigeon’s delivery success chance pop up above its head when I click on a letter?

Quiet Carriage by gamescodedogs 2026-10-21T21:01:16Z ♥ 0

The artwork is fantastic!

GO AWAY by imod 2026-10-21T20:55:59Z ♥ 0

What a fascinating perspective! As I played, I found myself reflecting on how invasive modern technology can be, much like the way AI is encroaching on art today. Such an interesting game and concept! Great job!

Old Man Playing Old Game by NTMalichi 2026-10-20T18:45:57Z ♥ 1

The struggle was real! I never thought playing a game with just one finger could be such torture, but it was honestly hilarious! Great job!

The Switchboard Operator by Isline 2026-10-20T18:41:07Z ♥ 0

I'd only ever seen this job in movies, so I never thought I'd get to try it myself. It was a pretty interesting experience! Waiting for calls to come in got really boring, though. It would be great if we could eavesdrop on the conversations!

THE LAST WORD by Chef 2026-10-20T18:33:36Z ♥ 3

The art style is absolutely gorgeous! I wish the game had a Chinese translation, as I had a hard time following the text, but I still felt really immersed. Great job!

Bantam: Beyond the Nest by naru 2026-04-21T08:25:17Z ♥ 1

This game really gave me a feeling of loneliness and solitude. The experience of flying the spaceship was great, and the camera control felt really good.

灯台の見守り — Lighthouse's Vigil by Tanjou 2026-04-21T08:01:09Z ♥ 2

The pixel atmosphere is amazing! Such a great gameplay experience!

Boba’s Love Story by ble 2026-04-21T07:51:46Z ♥ 1

The little hamster is incredibly cute! Your interpretation of the theme is perfect. One small suggestion: maybe add some hint at the map edge, because at first I didn’t realize I could go left and spent quite a while drawing in place. In the end I managed to win my hamster girlfriend—great game!

Celestial Bodies by rynti 2026-04-21T07:38:57Z ♥ 2

e4bb0127-1238-4639-bab1-c6fb9cc3ff3e.png Very creative game! The art style and music are really fun and cheerful. I reached the farthest planet, but nothing seemed to happen. I was hoping for a reward—maybe a soda or a big plate of fried chicken, haha. Still, I had a great time playing!

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-21T07:11:52Z ♥ 4

I’ve never actually been to the seaside, but this game somehow gave me a nostalgic childhood feeling. It’s really magical—I can almost feel the sea breeze while playing. Great work!

Lasing & Aligns (Run in Browser) by ufen 2026-04-21T04:07:30Z ♥ 2

美术真的太棒了,而且看到有中文版本真的很开心,每一页都如此的震撼我,我最喜欢“夜空中的色彩,远处的海平面”这句话后面的背景图。做的真的很棒,你的美术太赞了,我打满分

Link the Shrink by TOSHIY 2026-04-21T03:59:54Z ♥ 4

The art style and music are really nice, and the visuals look great!

Sheep Trials by digital bacon 2026-04-21T03:56:35Z ♥ 1

The sheep are really cute! The whistle sound is a bit too sharp though. I finished the game and realized I could basically just press W to herd all the sheep in, haha. Maybe adding some background music would make it more fun. It might also help to have the sheep spread out at the start—having them all right next to the gate makes it pretty easy.

Extremely Loud Frog Toy by peppersalt07 2026-04-21T03:50:37Z ♥ 1

What a fun frog! The dragging feels really good, and the scream sound is hilarious!

Pub Protocol Panic by Tomas Poblete 2026-04-21T03:45:42Z ♥ 1

I really want to play this game! I tried pressing the Q, W, and E keys on my keyboard, but nothing seems to happen and I just hear an error sound. 😭

RedFlag:SOS by ReiMi 2026-04-21T03:34:19Z ♥ 2

Really interesting game! The art and music work great together. I wasn’t completely sure how to interact with her though. I tried to feed her the fries but couldn’t tell if it worked. In the end I spelled out SOS and rang the bell to switch the waiter, but he didn’t seem to notice my signal. That was a bit sad.

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-21T02:16:22Z ♥ 3

I really want to try your game, but unfortunately when I click run on itch.io the screen stays black and nothing loads. 😭

HeliRescue by darkshadow 2026-04-21T01:56:39Z ♥ 1

I really like the pixel art style and the music! The idea behind the game is great too. I noticed a small layering issue where the character shows up on top of the plane when it gets close, haha, but it’s not a big deal. Sadly after a while the character stopped appearing, so I was just waiting on the ocean.

Stargazer by plutonicrock 2026-04-21T01:46:54Z ♥ 0

The art looks amazing! I was really excited to try the game. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much guidance when I started, so I wasn’t quite sure how to play. But the visuals are really beautiful—great work!

Mess It Up! by Shiyuue 2026-04-21T01:40:29Z ♥ 1

I really like your idea! It fits the theme really well and feels like a very clever interpretation. The concept is simple but works great for the gameplay.
