I saved everyone! Nice little entry. I also had the idea of rescuing.

I managed to save everyone!
I really like it that you made audio the centerpiece of this little game. Too often, sound is relegated to just decoration, or a mood-builder at best. I applaud the effort to make it part of the narrative. The movement and the winch action felt good. It took me a few playthroughs to notice that there's limited fuel! Perhaps a visual gauge would make it clearer.
Cool game! Pretty easy but fun to play! I liked how well the sound of the radar reacted to the distance of a "swimmer". Also the art is nice to look at and shows clearly what to do. The most fun was trying to get as many people on your hook in one sweep.
Overall a nice and fun game!
Great game! The ability to hook the characters even while moving, like a sort of lead shot was a nice addition. I think the only addition that would have been nice is some sort of story to tell the player why they're there. Great work!
I really like the pixel art style and the music! The idea behind the game is great too. I noticed a small layering issue where the character shows up on top of the plane when it gets close, haha, but it’s not a big deal. Sadly after a while the character stopped appearing, so I was just waiting on the ocean.
Alright but not much content, just one mechanic. But at the same time it's a jam game. So instead of what you could add I want to focus on what you currently made and minor things to improve the game.
First of all is the fuel system. I think it would be better if there was a better UI component that indicated how much fuel I have rather that just really small text at the top. Perhaps a gas tank sprite with a vertical slider on the bottom right???
Secondly, regarding fuel. Even though it makes sense that it will just deplete over time it may be better to only lose fuel while you are moving rather than all the time and make the fuel gauge far less so you have to plan a little better on your route and speed to save everyone.
The game is also quite short so having a little more people to save and maybe making it harder over time, ex. 7 people at once? Would be more fun imo! Building up gradual challenge. Right as I started to enjoy myself it was over.
I think this a step in the right direction but still needs some work.
saved everyone ;) little to easy game, but cool concept. For example if map would be much bigger and by using the signal you could find the people. Congratulation on finishing it!
The new Choplifter is here
Simple and effective
Would have loved if there would be a bit more strategy/nuance. I saved everyone :)
Fun game overall! a bit easy but cool.
Cool game! Very easy and intuitive to pick up and play. The drums on the music track sounded off to me. Almost like the kick drum was coming in too early. Other than this game was cool to try out!
All are saved! Was really motivating game theme.
Graphics pretty nice, enjoyed the music and the signal beeps. After my first win, I'd also like to see the difficulty increased some! But hard to figure out exactly where to set that in a game jam, probably *was* best to err on the side of more people seeing it through.
Simple but fun game, I enjoyed using the audio signal to locate people and reeling in several people at once. The pixel art is nice, I especially liked the helicopter sprite, but I noticed that the ocean/helicopter/people aren't quite pixel-consistent, which would've made it look even better! Overall very nice for a compo entry!
Simple, short, and sweet. Nice entry! Graphics cool
Sweet little game
Short and sweet. Nice entry. My first play though I rescued everyone without realising you were supposed to follow the signal. I tried again but didn't find it to be at all helpful since the area is so small.
Nice little game! The controls feel good and the graphics are simple, but with nice touches like the saving guard appearing.
I know that you made a COMPO-game where you have so little time, but I think it would have been possible to implement a better UI. It is too small and not stylized at all.
Apart from that the game feels polished and I like the audio signal on the copter. Great job! :)
simple and effective design, fun game, liked it :D
Pretty simple. but good for what it is, plus the image of the rescuer guy just being emitted from the helicopter is somehow funny to me.
fun little game although i didnt feel like there was much consequence involved. 100 seconds for a small map meant i could completely ignore fuel. i also had a hard time using the signal to help guide towards the people and just scanned the map to find them.
all in all nice entry and the audio and visuals made the experience fun enough for me to play twice
Lots of fuel left! Simple and fun! Skärmbild 2026-05-03 165018.png
It ended too quickly. The music was good. More levels would have been nice.
