That was nice! Really charming game. I love the concept and going out from computer to search the room for more updates got me. Super cool. I'm thinking if I could beat that boss. I gave him 2 hits, guarded some but he still killed me... but the end is so nice even when I don't finish it. Love it. Thanks!

Good idea, though I couldn't get past the spot where you get stuck.

@jiri-hysek Thanks for playing. The boss takes a specific combo of moves and a few items from earlier stages to beat. It'd definitely take a few tries. That's actually why I made this ending - beating everything is not required to have fun. Really glad you liked it!

@kremlebot Thanks for playing. from there you need disks that give you different power :)

Argh, having to do.... ahem, do extra works outside the box to win the game feels old tech. But I like it, it gives extra charm to this game. Did complete the game and see the ending.

Really cool entry!

I really loved the idea of the drives that was super clever. It made me want to try all sort of weird things like actually playing the platformer game to see if there were items I could get there. This would make a great metroidbrania style game, no doubt. Gameplay was clean and worked well, sprites were cute, sounds fitting. I liked the little bit of story writing too, I felt some feels there at the end.

One thing that would elevate this entry for me, would be just cleaning up the art for the bedroom. Time is always limited in these jams, but I think simplifying that scene and spending a little more time on the art would have made the whole game feel just that much more polished.

Great entry regardless.

oh wow, such a nostalgic experience! I like it. Died couple of times but still game wasn't a huge challenge. Balance is great. The only thing I'd want is a few more levels and more gameplay around each cartridge.

Just beat the game! I was a little confused at first (failed by rewriting into items disk lol) when I got the "If only I had an empty disk". Found out I don't have to re-start game after applying a patch, so it was easy afterwards. Cool mechanics, and a really nostalgic experience!

Woah! I didn't expect this game to be so deep! The floppy disk mechanics is genuinely amazing. The combat was a bit bland but I was able to look past by the amazing concept! With a lot of refinement, this could be turned into a full blown game. Even with the ability to rewrite disks.

I did look for a blank floppy disk, but since I couldn't find one, I overwrote one :/ Great game and a fun story!

ohh man what an interesting idea with the different floppy disks, can definitely see this get very puzzle-y and complicated. I really love how nostalgic this made me feel with all the ads and pop-ups and being called for dinner. lovely entry!
