Very cool game! Only thing that could be better is to have a key to comeback to the base! I lost my base and took some time to found it

Honestly the streamcam bit is the first time I laughed out loud this jam, so thanks for that lol

rustywolf 2024-04-16 02:33

Man the webcam is such a great detail, immediate 5/5 for the humour. Love it!

magnusfurcifer 2024-04-16 08:49

lmao live action cutscenes! Fantastic. Definitely one of the funniest games I've seen this jam, I literally laughed out loud.

I did summon the demon and go the final live action cutscene but I think I may have done it wrong, I went counter clockwise around the pentagram and by the end I was so strong I absolutely demolished the last base with like 70 warrior and serpent dudes haha

Great use of the theme in multiple ways (The story/objective and the actual mechanics) too.

Great entry!

Excellent use of video!! Takes me back to Red Alert :')

I've just made a brick when heard the voice. Then the second brick was made when I realized that there is a webcam record. Originality 5/5 (sadly, there is no such category).

As someone who's made a few RTS games in previous LDs and this one(if you stretch what an RTS is a bit) I gotta say this is a fairly good one and one of the better ones I rated over the years. Made me nostalgic for Red Alert as well, even though I haven't played it. That particle effect at the end was a nice touch. Well done.

Now I'm gonna list everything I didn't like:

Weird popout window, which used itch embed link ...on itch. Instead of loading up normally. Map was to big. Don't ask how I know. Wasteing Shift on camera speed (which is a solution to a problem above). Lack of adding to selection, which is easy to implement. Unit voice lines played foreach selected unit. UI being placed in such place where video overlaps it. One resource not having a purpose or so it seemed.

That was very unique. 5 star for humour. I was laughing right from the beginning. RTS elements were good, but the comentary stood out of course. Killed all the enemy units to form the penta and summonded you at the end. Good game, good job.

The webcam bit is quite funny. I also love the audio of the units, the "you got it" pitched different didn't get old. I did find the webcam-man audio a bit low compared to the rest so I didn't get to hear some of his lines. Overall neat idea, I haven't seen an rts being made in one of these before!

Lmao that was the best tutorial. The gameplay was a bit too easy, but the narrator kept me hooked because I wanted to see the ending.

Also, the demon unit voice lines had me cracking up because it reminded me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFHB5WRq7mo

Fun game :)

rentem 2024-04-21 11:36

Cool entry! Instead of using shift for camera speed, I would prefer zoom in & out. Then using shift to add more units to the selected group

verbante 2024-04-21 13:42

Being validated by a demon :100:

garyninja 2024-04-21 13:49

Brilliant way to do a tutorial, will keep an eye out for you next jam for sure!

rollcreators 2024-04-21 14:50

Nice, first RTS on jam is seen by me. Great job!

anton-florey 2024-04-21 15:01

5/5. Absolute banger :D

badrains 2024-04-28 10:38

It took me some time to understand how everything works, but after it, it was fun to play. Nice to see an RTS)

dovodx 2024-05-01 00:20

I loved the little voices for the units. How the resources and workers functioned was confusing at first, but I was able to figure it out. The game was definitely too easy, but the charm carried it so hard. Loved the webcam bits.
